As a Mayari fanatic of sorts, I knew to order one size down, from my normal shoe size, which is a 9. So in Birki size, I ordered the 8-8.5. Which might sound like a no-no....however, for me, it is out-of-the-box-purrrfection! To put the cherry on top of it all, is the wonder of ZAPPOS SERVICE. They the #1 CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY on the web and wherever else they may be found. I love you ZAPPOS. The end.??

These are my first pair of Birkenstocks. I bought them to take on a summer trip that I knew would involve a lot of walking and had heard that these were good for plantar fasciitis. I normally wear between an 8.5 and 9 shoe so I wasn't sure which size to get and eventually settled on the 39. They were just a tad too short and my toes were a bit scrunched at the top. The toe strap looks cute but was starting to rub against my left big toe, so with all those factors combined I decided to return these. I do love the style and the taupe metallic color is beautiful (looks gold in some light), but I'll have to continue my search for comfy and stylish Birks.

I love these! I am normally size 6. I bought the size 37 first and it was too large and have to return those. The 36 (5-5.5) fits perfectly! I also bought 2 other Birkenstock sandals different styles and sizes down to 36 and they all fit well now.

Great! I received the advice of wetting them down just prior to the first wear to help break them in and it worked great!

I was looking for a good quality REAL leather sandal. I owned a pair of Birks when I was a teenager but sadly I lost them when I moved. So I thought I would buy another because I remember how comfortable they were. Well in 20 years since then they are still the best sandal I have ever owned!! They did take about a week to break in but it is worth it. The arch and heel support are amazing. It feels like they are made for MY feet. I will definitely be buying more Birks.

I bought these shoes for work because the other sandals I own have ZERO arch support. These were absolutely perfect! I'm usually a 7.5 and I bought them in a 38. At first, I thought that they were maybe too small, but after wearing them more and adjusting the straps, they were great. They've been comfortable so far, even before they're "broken in". These shoes are an investment, but so far they're worth it!

Extremely comfortable and supportive shoe. Can wear them for several hours! It's so nice to find an attractive shoe that is also good support for my feet.

THIS SHOE IS VERY PRETTY AND STYLISH. IT IS ALSO VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. THE SHOE HAS NO CUSHION. IT'S VERY HARD ON THE FEET. SORRY I HAD TO RETURN THEM. I REQUIRE A SOFT COMFORTABLE SOLE.

I wasn't sure if I would like a sandal with a toe ring but the Mayari is very comfortable and easy to wear. I chose a 38 which is the size that I wear in the Arizona.

I had to return the first pair (size 39) and re-order size 38. My US size is 8-1/2 and I've had European shoes, size 39, before which fit... So, I would say they run large. Now that I have the right size, I love these sandals! They are very comfy and, for a backless sandal, no flopping around!

I feel exactly like the others in that the comfort is off the chart, right out of the box, nothing to rub, no blisters. This style is more feminine than the traditional birkies. I've had birkies in the past and know it take a few wears to get the heal molded to your foot but still very comfortable until then. Everything is excellent but I have to say, they were at least $20 cheaper at DSW. Leather uppers last longer which is great cuz I love them!

I normally wear a 6.5 in every type of shoe and all of my Birkenstocks are a 36, which is recommended for people who wear 5 - 5.5 in women's. They fit perfectly! Love the metallic taupe color, it goes with everything! Very quick shipment. Happy zappos customer!

I typically run a size 6 to 6.5 and tried several sizes on the Mayari before landing on the 36 regular. These definitely have a break-in period (I'd recommend only wearing a few hours at a time for the first several weeks).

I found these to run large. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 and ended up finding the 36 was the right size for me. I love Birks - so comfortable! I had my last pair for 7 years.

I love these sandals. I have a wide foot so the regular width feels great to me. I love the look- I can wear these with jean shorts, a maxi skirt, even sweats and still look casual and stylish! The adjustable straps are helpful to get just the right fit (I have large big toes!) I haven't worn them much yet, waiting for warm weather, but I know they will be my go-to sandal!

These are really cute supportive sandals. I did need to tighten the straps to hold my foot more securely. I ordered a 7.5 (38) they fit perfectly. I am usually a 7.5/8

This style ran a size large compared to my Arizona Birks. But nonethless, extremely comfortable and love the style!

I usually wear a 39 but for this particular style, the 38 fits better where the 39 is too large. I own several different pairs of birkenstock sandals. Love the support

The Mayari is my favorite Birke. This is my 3th silver pair over the last 7 years, the oldest ones are now gardening, the new ones are for more summer business casual occasions. The middle pair are everyday wear. The wear well, give great support and look smashing.

They were comfortable out of the box. I feel like they will take a little breaking in, my toes are getting used to the elevated area. However, I have only worn them twice and feel like these will be my go to this summer once fully broken in.
