I basically wore these till I killed them, unfortunately only took two years of short summers to do so. I'll buy again because birks are one of the few sandles I can wear for long periods without pain. I'm just disappointed with how long they lasted.

I love the look of these and wanted to love them, but they were a bit small and the way the bottom curves around they almost suctioned to my foot. It's hard to describe but it was very uncomfortable to walk in and I ended up having to return them. I wish they made them in a size bigger :(

Birkenstocks, for me, are unrivaled for consistency with their fit, sizing and quality. They take a couple of days to break in but once you break them in they mold to your feet like no other shoes I've owned. I find my feet tend to slip around in the Birkenstock Arizona style but the toe strap on these prevents your foot from going anywhere. And if your feet aren't slipping around, you get a better fit and feel more comfortable. I walked between 8-10 miles daily in these shoes in NYC this past weekend and these shoes were perfect for walking, shopping and they dress up well for going to a Broadway show.

Every year I try to buy Birkenstock and every time I’m disappointed. These are cute and a great color but the bottom of my foot is not like the footbed so it is not comfortable. Back they went thanks to Zappos great return policy.

Large and clunky. I ordered the 39 and I typically wear anywhere from a 7.5 to an 8.5. I’ve never ordered a narrow shoe before, but I may try it in this shoe. I like the style, but they were way too large for me.

I got these in the oiled leather after reading a review that stated the leather is less likely than the Birkoflor to separate at the toe strap (which seems to be a consistent problem with this style). We’ll see. I normally wear an 8 in sandals, but needed to size down to the 38. I got the medium width, even though the narrow is said to fit a medium foot. I don’t normally wear a wide width, but my little toe sometimes get squished in medium shoes, and the medium in Birkenstock works well for me. I don’t love the look of Birkenstocks, but these are about as cute as they come. I got them for the support they provide (which is very good) on days when I’m constantly on my feet - otherwise I normally go barefoot around the house. I have super sensitive skin, and the leather straps do irritate the tops of my feet. Right now I’m wearing them with toe socks (a real style statement - not), hoping that they’ll break in and soften up enough soon so that the socks won’t be necessary.

Definitely appreciate that these are real leather compared to other colors I tried, feel less likely to rub blisters

the "felt larger" comment is that both length and width feel just slightly larger, but not enough to get the next size smaller. Support is always great. I wish these have a little more give and flex for walkability comfort but this may come over time for a more worn in feel. I love my berks!!

The shoe itself was fine but the leather on the left shoe was a much lighter color than the leather on the right shoe. Needed quality control. Am returning and reordering.

Birks are great my girls love them. These jus seem a little bit larger than the sam size in other models

I originally purchased a size 8 regular which is my normal size and they were about an inch too long and terribly uncomfortable because the arch support was hitting me in the wrong spot. I returned for a size smaller and what a difference. They went from being one of the most uncomfortable sandals I have ever worn to one of the more comfortable. I have flat feet so I wish these sandals had less arch support because it is almost an uncomfortable amount, but probably good for people who have a foot with a high arch. I am hoping these will get more comfortable as they break in because my $1 old navy flip flops are still more comfortable than these.

Even though I'm a solid size 7, these were too big. Unfortunately the next size down was sold out in this color.

I wish these would’ve fit my wide feet but they did not. Love the style of these sandals and the arch support. However these were too narrow for my wide feet. My pinky toe sat right on the edge of the sandal and that would’ve been incredibly painful to wear. So back to Zappo’s they go and the search continues. (Thank you, Zappo’s, for your excellent customer service and easy returns.)

As other reviewers have said, these run large. Normally I wear a 7-7.5 in sandals, but the 38 was a full size too big. Once I got a 37 they were perfect. I also found the genuine leather uncomfortable. The Birkibuc rubs a bit on the arch strap, but overall it's softer out of the box than the leather and I'm sure they will be fine once I break them in. The support is excellent.

It's been a long time since I've been able to wear Birkenstocks, and I ordered size 41 because that's what I wear in other European-sizes shoes. They are too long by at least a size, but I can tell a smaller size might be perfect.

To summarize, these ran large and the color was off. Shipping was crazy fast as usual. I normally wear 6.5-7 in shoes, more often size 7. My feet are on the narrow side of average. I have the Arizona's in 37 narrow, and they fit perfect. I ordered these in 37, regular width (didn't have narrow available in this style/leather), and they just felt and looked awkwardly large (too long/wide in the toe area), which made them look boxy and unfeminine. I went to a local shoe store, and tried on size 36, and it was perfect! In addition, I ordered these in tobacco oiled leather, and the ones from Zappos had a weird, sickly greenish tone to them, not the rich warm color I was expecting and had seen previously in stores. When I tried the 36's on in a local store, those shoes did have the warm rich color I was expecting, so I went ahead and purchased them instead of risking the luck-of-the-draw in re-ordering them online. As usual, they aren't super comfortable right out of the box, but I imagine they will be once they are broken in, just as my previous pair of Birks was.

I have really narrow and long feet and struggle finding sandals that fit and don't flop off my feet (which is really dangerous!). But these are so perfectly snug! I can walk securely and feel so supported and I have to be really intentional about taking them off my feet--which never happens unless I'm wearing lace-up shoes. I do wish the brown were a bit darker, I'm not totally wild about the color (I bought them in mocha). But the fit is so good I'll probably just order an additional pair next summer in a different color!

I never thought I'd wear Birkenstocks. These Mayaris are my second pair. They are comfortable, attractive shoes that allow my feet to breathe in the summer. I would not recommend them for physical activities beyond walking due to the open back, but all in all, they are sturdy shoes that remain on the feet. My show size ranges from an 8.5 to a 9. I wear a 39 in Birkenstocks.

I like the style and even the silver color, but I have been purchasing other Birkenstock sandals with the soft footbed. The Mayari just wasn't as comfortable as other styles. I returned these shoes and purchased another pair of the Florida (soft footbed.)

Shoe was perfect!

My first pair of Birkenstock’s and I love them. They are pretty comfortable and I have a lot of breaking in left to do. True to size and like this sandal style!

adorable shoes. i love looking down at them. however, i'm a size 8, and i got a 39. i never had birkenstocks before, so i didn't realize they would be a little larger since the reviews were a bit mixed about how the sizes ran. i wore them for a few days, and my foot is sloshing around. i tightened up the straps (nice option) and it improved. i also am NOT used to the thing between my toes (i'm a total slide person) but i thought these might be a better option than just the traditional flip-flop. i'm adjusting. but they look great with everything!
