The Gizeh is my favorite Birkenstock sandal. They look great with everything and there is no break-in needed. I have 3 pairs and I'll add more next summer.

I have worn Birkenstock for the last 25-30 years, will not wear any others, once you do, you won't go back to others. The comfort is there, the stylish look for sandals, the right arch and comfort for your feet.

I love Birkenstocks but most of them are too graceless for work. Not these -- they actually manage to look stylish and dressy. I was worried that the toe-thong would be uncomfortable, but it isn't; the sandal is mostly held in place by the straps, so there's little pressure from the thong. Typical Birkenstock sizing, fit, and support, which work for me with my wide feet. I will probably get a second pair in a more neutral color -- I got the purple Birko-Flor. By the way, the Birko-Flor is quite comfortable and doesn't look cheap, although it's obviously synthetic. So a good purchase all around.

Due to a diagnosis of "arthritis of the big toe joint" I've been on the search for shoes that relieve that pain. The Gizeh is perfect...fashionable enough to not feel embarrassed by the need for sensible shoe. Lots of fun colors to collect. Reasonable pricing...and of course, Zappos excellent service/support! I ordered my regular size...in the medium width (not the narrow one). They have adjustable strap too...so the fit was good right out of the box. Hope to find as good a shoe for the winter!

I'll admit, I've been teasing my husband about his Birks for years. When I saw my daughter in these I was really surprised at how stylish they looked. They are pretty and comfortable. The color (Graceful Rosa) is a pearlized baby pink. I wear a size 7.5 and original ordered a size 38; too long; had to return for a 37. These are perfect and the return was pain free with lightning fast replacement. Thanks Zappos!

Not usually a fan of sandals with a thingie between my toes, but I just love these shoes! I wore these everyday in Hawaii for a 2 week vacation and they were perfect, casual yet cute and they worked well with shorts and dresses. I love the silver color and get compliments every time I wear them. I wear them to work and on weekends and after owning them for 7 months I can say they hold up very well. Just know that the 1st few times you wear them that you are adapting to the fit, after that they will be your go to sandals!

Very comfortable shoe. Great for people who work on their feet all day. Very cute and stylish too! Love these Birks!

Another win from Birkenstock! Just got them today after ordering yesterday morning...love Zappos-VIP. Birks sizing is weird, but the 36 in sandals are perfect, as I am a 7 to 7.5 regular shoe, 37 in Birk clogs, though. Hopefully this pair will finally complete my collection...for this summer anyway!

I've owned many pairs of Birkenstocks, and I love them. I can walk for miles in them, and they seem to keep my plantar fasciitis at bay. As for the plastic toe piece -- it does not bother me one bit. As for the color: onyx is gorgeous - very true to the photos Zappos provides. I was worried they'd be too black, but they are really more like a metallic charcoal with a hint of blue, aka "gunmetal grey". Sizing: I marked "felt wider than marked" because I have wide feet and feel that the regular footbeds fit me just perfectly.

Awesome sandals and cute too. The hard plastic piece between the toes takes a little breaking in, but otherwise, great shoe!

This is the perfect classy sandal. I haven't taken them off since they came out of the box. They fit beautifully and the silver color is bright and pretty. I will likely buy another pair in a different color soon. They look great with skirts and jeans.

I wear a size 8 but order a size 38 in Birkenstock. I love them. I have flat feet and problems with the bones in my feet hurting, but with Birkenstocks, I feel very comfortable even standing for a long period of time. I especially like the Gizeh Birko-Flor. Love the various colors. Would love to have a sport shoe with the Birkenstock insole.

I was very pleased with the Gizeh Birki-Flor! This style is super comfortable and with the adjustable strap, allows for a nice fit. I usually wear size 36 in the Arizona, but I had to order one size down for this style. I highly recommend the Gizeh for anyone wanting a super comfy super cute sandal with great arch support! I only wish that Gizeh leather style would be available in size 35. It looks like Birkenstock sizing for leather in Gizeh starts at size 36.

I ordered these when my feet started to hurt at the end of the day during the beginning of the second trimester my pregnancy. I care a lot about fashion so it was a hard hit for me to commit to birks. Your feet become so flexible during pregnancy they can change for good. I decided to only wear with the best orthopedic shoes I could find (in hopes of giving them full support so to not change). This classic pattern is the best of them all and I wear them with everything. I now have 3 colors. I'm in my 7th month and while I do get bored with my footwear selection - pain is never an issue. I am totally comfortable all day. One random day I went without shoes and by 5pm my feet were killing me - I had to stop everything and put them up. This never happens when I'm wearing my birks. I fully recommend these for a pregnancy. I will probably continue to wear them the rest of my life (but not exclusively!!) I hope that after the baby comes I can celebrate my shoe wardrobe again - and if not at least I have these. :D

I have another pair of Birkenstocks in the Birki-flor material and they just will not wear out! So I decided I needed the Gizeh for a change of pace. I love the style and the color - the titanium has a soft metallic sheen without being too flashy. When I first tried them on, the thong felt uncomfortable, but then I tightened the strap across my foot so that the sandal fits snugly. That did the trick and now they feel great. All the ease of a flip-flop, but much better support and comfort.

Love my Gizeh birks! These are so comfortable and stylish too! A must have staple in your summer wardrobe.

My new favorite sandals! All Birks are stiff at first, but after a few wearings you will love them. I wear a size 8 however every pair of Birks I have every owned was a size 7. They are a full size smaller than other brands.

These are great! I haven't worn thong-style sandals in many years, and was able to put these on and wear them with very little discomfort. Once my toes "harden up" a bit they will be all day wear!! It's wonderful they come in narrow!!!

I have plantar fasciitis & Birkenstock shoes and sandals is the only shoe I can wear pain free! Thank goodness!

I love the gunmetal grey of these shoes. They work with absolutely everything and are a great change from black for summer. After about a week they are perfectly broken in, however I have one complaint. For the first week the piece between my toes seemed too big and was rubbing and caused pain. I waited out the pain and now they are the most comfortable shoes, ever! I always wear the flip flop style with the piece between the toes and never have a problem. Not sure why this was an issue, but it's something to keep in mind if you are sensitive between your toes. Overall, a hip cool comfortable pair of summer shoes!!

These took me a few days to get used to, but now they feel like I am walking on pillows. With in one day of wearing them the leather strap stretched out enough that I had to tighten them up a hole, but that was fine by me since out of the box I could only wear them on the first hole. I have wide and fat feet.

Look, if you haven't tried Birkenstock Gizeh, you're missing out. Comfy (even for an entire day of walking), cute, and yes, actually kind of stylish. I wear them all weekend. I wear them on the commute to work. I wear this particular pair (I have three colors) with nautical summer-y outfits. Try these once and you're sold for life, I promise.

I'll be honest, I just put these shoes on about 10 minutes ago, but am so happy that I decided to review them right away. I plan to write another after wearing them in. Needless to say, I am very happy with these shoes! I ordered them in the Toffee brown color and am happy with my choice. The picture is true to the look of the shoe: dark brown with a metallic wash over it. I like the subtle shine - it can go casual or dressy. As far as size, I am a 9.5-10 shoe US - really my right foot is a 10 and my left foot is a 9.5. At the recommendation of a woman at a shoe store, I ordered a 41 (converts to a 10-10.5) and am glad I did, rather than ordering down as other reviewers suggested. My right foot fits perfectly and the left just has a tiny bit of room in the back of the heel. This is not a problem after adjusting the T-strap to the second hole to keep it snug to my arch. I love the fact that these run a little wider than the average shoe as my feet are wide at the toes and narrow at the heels. I have just enough space width-wise and the heel cup fits well. Even just sitting and walking around my house, it feels good on my foot to have the arch support and heel cup - I also have high arches and can't wear just flat plastic flip flops any more. I am excited to break them in and get a little more flexibility in the soles. Then they will be perfect! As a side-note, I am very impressed with my order through Zappos. I ordered these shoes at 9:30pm last night and just received them at 4:30pm today. Wow. I also had to call customer service to fix a typing error on my shipping address and had a great experience. The wait was short (less than 10 minutes despite the recording telling me they were handling a lot of calls and had longer than normal wait times) and the woman I spoke to was friendly and accommodating. Thank you Zappos, you have earned yourself a new supporter!
