Bought the “black patent”. As it’s not leather, it looks like a shiny plastic sandal I just paid $100 for. No thanks, returning promptly

Not too happy . My toe hurts. Don’t think they were worth the price and aren’t as comfortable as all reviews state . Hope my feet grow into these shoes or I’m at a loss.

Love the shoes. I'm so disappointed. I thought the shoe would be perfect for my current foot issues. The shoe has no bend and is not wide enough. So, I will be returning shoes.

The footbed is "Birkinstock comfortable." Size fits perfectly. However, the toe spacer hurts. I have been wearing it at home on hard floors for almost a week and it still hurts. Now I am stuck with a pair of useless sandals that hurt but I feel bad about returning because it looks worn. A failed purchase. Very disappointed.

The foot bed size seemed perfect - UNTIL I stood up and felt it was hard as a rock. This style claims to be good for those with ball of foot pain; but I couldn't even take one step. The entire foot bed and sole is rigid and inflexible - like wood. Very disappointed. Will be returning the sandals and the shoe care kit.

It's too bad - I really love this style and have pairs of similar style in other brands. I ordered the black because I liked the black metal accents. Regarding the fit - 38 was to big and 37 fit right (I'm a 7-7.5). HOWEVER, the 37 were extremely uncomfortable in the toe/thong AND (regardless of size) the shoe over all was SO DISAPPOINTINGLY UNCOMFORTABLE and I'm so surprised. I tried them around inside my house before committing and I could not imagine them breaking in and wouldn't want to go through the torture. I do not have problems with my feet or other shoes of any style in general. Returning :(

Very disappointed with this pair of Birkenstock’s. Own several Birkenstock’s, some from Zappos and some directly from Birkenstock and they all fit fine. This pair arrived in a taped together box, missing the Birkenstock label and had toe prints on the cork! I needed them so I decided to keep them anyway. After one wearing the the cork toe area has begun to shred unlike any of my other pairs which leaves me to suspect these may be “ knockoffs”? Can’t return as I’ve worn them two or three times now, but will NOT purchase Birkenstocks from Zappos in the future. Extremely disappointed, however delivery was prompt, too bad sandal was so unacceptable.

The plastic thing to put between your toes was made of hard plastic and uncomfortable. I love how these look and opted to try them out even though I have 2 other styles. Sadly these aren’t for me. Maybe if your toes are longer the plastic piece would fit better ?????. I love my my Arizona’s and Mayaris.

Most uncomfortable sandals/shoes I've ever worn. It felt like I was walking on concrete...no comfort, no support and the thong between the toes was unbearable. Sent them back ASAP! for the price Birks is charging for these I expect more. I'm sticking with flip flops.

These shoes were hard to break in but when I finally did I loved them. BUT they lasted less than a year (and I live in Minnesota so summers are pretty short so these shoes didn't get much use). The clip on the top that holds the thong down broke and neither Zappos or Birkenstock provided any repair or warranty options. I don't plan to replace them and have to break them in all over again. Overall not worth the money.

These are cute and seem well made. However, the piece that is between the toes is hard plastic that does not give at all. That makes the shoe extremely uncomfortable. I am returning these.

I just want to say Zappos is amazing. I placed my order and had my shoes 12 hours later! How do they do that??

I was really excited to try out these sandals. But when I received them I was sorely disappointed. The thong is so hard and uncomfortable I could barely walk across the room. And they fit otherwise, perfect length and width. I tried them again a day later, and I was convinced that these may just be the most uncomfortable shoes that I have ever put on my feet. I really do want to know who can stand the pain and wear these long enough to break them in?!?!?!?

unfortunately I have to return. I bought size 38 and 39. The 38 is too short, 39 is too big in the tow box. Both pair rub and really hurt between the toe. I'm very disappointed in the fit of the Gizeh. I've had a pair of the exact same style for years called Betula and they are so very comfortable and I wear them all the time. My old berkies in the same exact style are a size 39, they fit perfectly. Wanted to purchase a few new pair in different colors. Why does Birkenstock no longer offer this the Betula??

Everyone raves about the comfort of Birkenstocks, but they simply aren't made for my feet. In normal shoes I usually wear 6M, although I have narrow heels and certain brands/styles don't fit me for that reason. But Birkenstocks run huge. I tried 5N and 6N. Both are too wide, and the straps are loose on the tops of my feet. 5N is too short and 6N is too long. Disappointing.

Love Birkenstock sandals. Fit true to size, very comfortable and wear well. Worth the money. However I’m sending these back. I’m very disappointed in Zappos. I received the shoes, not even in a shoe box and they look previously worn. A $100.00 pair of Birkenstocks sent in a plastic sack. I have two other pairs and they do come in a box wrapped in tissue paper.

The material between your toe is too large. Looks awkward so I returned these and ordered a different style.

At first, I liked these, but thought the strap between the toes would gradually soften up. And then I wore them for a full day and came home with incredible blisters on both feet between the toes--the reason why? That support in the middle is hard plastic. It will never, ever soften up or be comfortable. So sad because otherwise I liked these, and now, of course, because I have worn them, I cannot return them. Incredibly unhappy!

why was this shipped without a box. Came in a plastic bag. This is supposed to be a present for my daughter, now it looks like I purchased at a second hand store

The toe area was so uncomfortable, I couldn’t even walk in them...went back immediately.

I RECEIVED A USED PAIR - THE RIGHT BIRKENSTOCK WAS STRETCHED BEYOND BELIEF. I spoke with a rep and was told "sorry you received a worn item - don't know why that happened - sorry for the inconvenience - all that. I will be reordering hoping I won't receive another 'WORN ITEM' - very disappointed.

I have 2 pairs of older Gizeh Birko-Flors sized 38. I bought a new pair to replace my older pair. However, the manufacturer must've changed their sizing. The 38 was a too small, my right foot fit but the big toe was resting on the sandal rim making it uncomfortable. I purchased a 39, but it was way too big. Sadly, I love Birkenstock but I had to return both pairs since the sizing is off.

I wanted these for years, I was very disappointed, the plastic part where you slide your foot into it really hurts.

Actually, I chose "felt full size larger" because that is the limit. I dont know what the issue is, but what I got is DEFINITELY NOT US Women's 5.5. It seemed more like 7.5 which is my daughter's size!!!
