This were not was i expected :(

I love the sandal. I would have given it a higher ranking, however "normal wear and tear" after 3-4 months can include the paint peeling off the metal circle that is part of the toe tab. If the sandal is black then, as you can imagine, the sandal becomes unsightly. Black sandal with this partially scraped off metal circle with shiny metal showing through

These are stylish but pretty uncomfortable. I’m hoping they get more comfortable as I break them in.

Fit was okay, but the sandal was very uncomfortable with little arch support. Had to return.

I just didn't care for plastic between toes. It was uncomfortable.

The reason for the rating was the color I received was not the color I ordered. I do want to mention that Zappos was wonderful in helping me return my purchase. I do appreciate their help with it.

love Birkenstocks, but these were too shiny for me!

This shoe was not for me. I have looked for a long time to replace the leather sandals I currently wear. The Gizeh Birko-Flor was slightly small so that my toe hit a ridge that surrounds the sole. The leather was stiff and chafed my feet, so I'm afraid they are going back.

Very cute shoes! The ridge under the toes though, really hurt my feet. I really liked the look, but must return

I will be returning these, they are very big, though they seem like they would be comfy if they fit. I feel like the backs were narrow and rubbed against my foot as well. Very disappointed as I hear these are a great shoe!

The black patent is very shiny/glossy and looks and feels like plastic (not sure what I expected-I know patent is shiny-by the photo I thought it was distinguishing between a more suede-like texture and standard leather that has a sheen). Also the thong (between the toes) was uncomfortable but I'm wondering if it was because of the plastic-y/stiff material. So I may try one of the styles with traditional [leather? not sure]. The foot bed was comfortable, though.

Synthetic? Why on earth would Birkenstock charge this kind of price for something that isn't even leather. Just, no. Bring back more color choices in the quality leather we come to expect with Birkenstock.

The inside right edge of each foot felt tight and rubbed on foot.

There made me walk funny. And I have Birkies I wear and love. Not sure what’s up but too pricey to keep so they’re going back.

I love these shoes but the piece between the toes is very uncomfortable. I don't understand why it is hard plastic rather than leather or even something rubbery. They are also a full size too big. :( That said...the pearl color is fantastic and I'm bummed that I'm not keeping them.

So bummed. I am a size 9 and ordered the 9-9.5 which were too long. I returned them and ordered the 8-8.5 hoping that would fit but those were too short. I really wish they would make the sizes as a 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, etc. for better fitting.

These were about one size larger than my regular size. I will be ordering my next pair a full size smaller. I like the style but it doesn't provide as much support as I would expect from Birkenstock.

I love these sandals but the cork soles deteriorate in the same spot and I end up replacing them yearly. I’m not that rich!

I love these but I have worn Birkenstock sandals for 25 years and have never encountered any so narrow. The edges of my feet hit the hard edges of the sandal. This is not going to work. I am so sad to send them back.

I have several pairs of the Gizeh birks. They're great, however, I have a very narrow foot and these are VERY narrow. In fact, my narrow foot protrudes over the edges so I will return.

Very comfortable leather upper and sole, exactly what you would expect. But the toe thing is hard plastic. I don’t understand how anyone could get used to it. Maybe if it softens over time, but that seems like a stretch. These are being returned.

I've never tried on a pair of Birkenstock's but I have to say they feel like walking on cement. Sorry they are going back

I had never owned a pair of Birkenstock sandals so I thought I would give them a try. They were not for me; I did not find them comfortable at all. They're too expensive to not be comfortable.

Had to return these - ordered the regular width but felt quite narrow across the top of my foot and I normally have to order narrow shoes for my heel.

Bought a 39, the size I wear in the Mayari style. Was not comfortable! Hard to believe, being a Birk, right?! Wanted the color Onyx SO badly, checked every site to try and find it in the Mayari style. To my disappointment, NOT available. So thought I would try ANOTHER Gizeh Onyx, THIS time one size bigger, a 40. BAM, PERFECT. The biggest issue I had with the Gizeh size 39 was the toe post. Very uncomfortable!! So, I know I have read other reviews regarding this same issue, I say, it doesn't hurt trying a size bigger. It worked for me! :)
