Comfortable from the moment I put them on. I have high arches and felt that they were supportive enough. It did take time for my feet to adjust to the 0mm foot drop.

I like that they are soft and deep enough to replace insert with my own orthotics. A lot of shoes are not. But the inside material makes a squeaking noise when my insert rubs on it. I put a piece of tissue paper between the two. Looking for a more permanent solution. The heel is built up. I prefer a rounded heel for a smooth heel to toe transition. When I step down I feel like the inside heel is sticking out and preventing a quite soft heel strike. I like that your toe depth has some height to it to prevent 1st toe from rubbing on the top of shoe. Maybe a little less bulbous would be good. I alternate between Topo and Altra. Depends on how much you all change a model I like and then I have to search again to find a new shoe. I wish the tongue was a little thicker and did not have stiff plastic on the top near ankle. It pokes into my ankle. I have to wear laces loose to be comfortable. If I wore these for running it would not work out.
Major complaint for both companies is the gaudy color options. Take a look around at current fashion trends for colors of athletic clothing. Yellow, orange, dirty teal, and red are not on the top of any common clothing colors. The combination of colors is gross. I often have to get boring black because the other options are ugly.

I typically have a lot of difficulty finding shoes that work with all my foot problems: over-pronation, falling arches, narrow heel, wide toes, loose connective tissues... and the list goes on. These are great - and they look good too! When I first tried them on, I thought maybe my foot was being forced into an over-pronation position, but as I adapted, the problem resolved. First time in a long time I didn't need to add insoles or other accessories to make my shoes not hurt! #sweepstakes

After injuring my foot/Plantar Fasciitis, I had a YouTube video of a foot doctor come up on my site. She talked about a healthy athletic shoe=zero drop, less plush, and wide at toes. She suggested some brand names. And so, I started looking and educating myself about barefoot shoes.
I bought this shoe, hoping it would fit my narrow heel.
I put these on and my first thought was, "Nice!" The shoe cradled my feet so beautifully. I walked around and I noticed most my pain in my foot disappeared! Awesome! I also noticed the heel area was fitting excellent; no sliding or rubbing. I had bought these for jogging and walking in our fields. I did wear them walking in the field and they were very good. But I feel like I need a different pair for more uneven terrain. And so, I will keep these for paths, road, and shopping.
I am looking at another pair of Topos for uneven walking/ jogging, and hiking. I highly recommend these. My first pair of zero drop, barefoot shoes. I'm very happy.

These felt good right out of the box. I’m trying to recover from foot pain from exercising in shoes that didn’t allow my toes to spread out. This toe box is great, plenty of room, no rubbing anywhere, and the zero drop heel takes pressure off the ball of my foot, where I’ve been having pain from other shoes. While the toe shape takes a little getting used to visually, the way they feel makes up for any style considerations. The color is vibrant and fun.
I'd also recommend:

These are so comfortable! They have cushioning in all the right places! I have arthritis in my big toe and they are supportive and doesn't irritate my toe. Took these for a 5 miler upon getting them and it was glorious!

I'm really enjoying this shoe having switched from the ALTRA Women's Escalante 3 Running Shoes which kept falling apart. I really like the zero drop and roomy toe box. These were super comfy right out of the box. I use them for daily walking about 12 miles a week. The only thing I don't like about them is the color. I bought the gray/black combo, but I wish there was a total black option -- both sides and top in black (some brands call that "Blackout".

These shoes are awesome. I especially love the pink color. I ended up buying a second pair in green. I'm using them for marathon training. I love the zero drop, wide toe box, low stack and that they're vegan! #sweepstakes

I use these for training, which is why I need the zero drop. However, can we please get a plain black and white pair? Topos are my fav, but I need a zero drop I can wear to weight train in and then just as an all-around shoe. The training shoes that are black and white with zero drop have absolutely no cushion at all for outside walks etc.

I have skinny feet and toes that have been broken and hurt when squashed together. Also have flat feet and over pronation. Although I exercised my entire life, Being a Dental Hygienist for 25 yrs resulted in severe back pain and 8 hr surgery. Scar tissue from successful surgery caused me to suffer back pain for years . I bough Vionic flip flops and my back pain disappeared. Also was able to walk four miles with Orthodics . Although I have PTs and a PA in my immediate family, Nobody told me that ‘IT ALL STARTS WITH YOUR FEET’! I’m 67 yo and I wear the same size 6 clothes since my Twenties. Except for gaining 40lbs w both kids who I had in my early thirties. I’ve worn Hokas, Brooks, etc. Then I wore Altras with their super wide toe box and great fit for a year, although they didn’t look like normal a sneaker and I was slightly self conscious. They ‘set my toes free’! This past year, they stopped being made with same wide toe box . I searched intensely for a new pair with the same wide toe box but also made for skinny to normal sized feet. I saw Topo on YouTube . I Finally ordered them from my only sneaker store ZAPPOS. They have great wide toe box and enough arch support so no orthotics needed. Walking up deep hills in CO now. My daughter brought us up from FL 3 years ago.

Fit perfectly. Usually I have problems fitting my wide toe area and narrow heel, but this is shaped like my foot. I also don't need orthotics with this shoe, but I do need them with other brands.

I actually was able to make it through the life of a pair of shoes for the first time in a decade with the magnifly 4. The magnifly 5 felt even better in a most every way except that it is a bulkier shoe. I felt like the shoe was significantly more balanced, but I wasn't able to land on the ground with as much finesse and shock absorption. I love the secure midfoot, but I wish this shoe had a less prominent arch and a flexible forefoot without so much of a rocker. #sweepstakes

I really love these shoes, and I'm not just saying that for the sweepstakes! I learned about Topos from watching long distance hikers on You Tube, and they are everything I hoped they'd be. Extremely light and comfortable, with enough cushion and enough traction on the trail as well. The beautiful forest green color was the final selling point for me, because I always look for nature colors in my hiking clothes and gear.

I have been a long-time Brooks Ghost wearer, but after developing plantar fasciitis, I decided to try a shoe that had a wider toe box & low drop. Right out of the box, these were so comfortable. I gradually rotated them in because it had been years since I ran in a zero drop shoe. I absolutely love them. I don't feel like I am all over the place while running & my feet love these shoes. They haven't cured my PF, but I'm on the road to recovery. Love them so much, I'm back to buy trail Topos.

Love the zero drop combined with cushion and support. However, I need a wider toe box. I'm keeping a wide in a different model, but I really wanted the zero drop model to work. I'm sure this would have been what I was looking for if offered in multiple widths, so please add wide and extra wide toe box options. Bonus: my picky teen told me they were super cute; and I agree, the green is a great color. The only other thing I would change is to reduce the toe spring, please. Thank you!

Love this sneaker! I was wearing the Phantom 3 previously, but wanted to transition to a zero drop workout shoe. The Magnify 5 is perfect! I wear it for all of my workouts - running, cycling, ellipse and weight lifting. It's incredibly comfortable and enables my feet and ankles to continually be in the correct alignment. #sweepstakes

I've been a loyal Topo customer since 2016 and have worn every version of the Magnifly and Ultrafly. Unfortunately, something has changed with this new 5 and the shoe fits differently. From my first wear during a 3 mile walk, I had blisters in both heels. Again the next time and the next. I've run marathons and ultras in previous models and not had a single blister. The color is great but the new fit is not it.

I usually find most athletic shoes too narrow but the toe box and level of cushioning are perfect. I wore these the first time on a trip with extensive walking and they felt great.

Love the toe box but the mid foot is a little too snug on my foot. They are comfy in general, and light. I wear them for running only. I will keep them and see how they hold up, but they aren't my favorite pair of running shoes ever.

Nowadays typically run 3-5 miles 4 days a week. This is my first pair of Topo running sneakers. Past 6 years been running in Altra Rivieras. Finally decided to make a switch. Magnify 5's are so comfortable, flexible & love wide toe box. I have high arches, a neuroma & hammer toe on left foot. Ran 5.25miles today. My feet were so comfortable no issues!

These are the second pair of STs I've purchased. I'm training for my fifth marathon and I use these shoes for my two weekly shorter runs on the treadmill and to do my strength training afterwards. I've had knee overuse injuries in the past so I make sure to purchase zero to low drop, low stack height shoes and there aren't all that many on the market. Topo always pulls through and I love that almost all their shoes are vegan. These shoes are flexible but not flimsy and have minimal cushion but it is def enough to soften the impact. Would def recommend and buy again.

I bought these for Orange Theory indoor classes with mix of treadmill and weight work. This is the first time in years I have been able to walk/run without my orthotics inside. My toes can wiggle and my bunions have room too! Perfect moderate cushioning. #sweepstakes

I own 2 pair of Magnifly 4s. The Magnifly 5s feel a couple mm wider in the toe box; a roomy toe box is always a good thing IMO. The sole feels a bit firmer. I prefer the softer Magnifly 4s but think the Magnifly 5 probably last longer. The pink color is really more of a peach; I would have preferred a true pink but soft feminine colors are always a welcome addition to my collection. Overall, I am very pleased with these new shoes.

I have been running in Topo zero drop shoes since 2016- I won't run or hike in anything else. I've tried other shoe brands, but I have found that the Topo shoes are the only zero drop shoes that work for my feet (after several surgeries on my foot, I'm very particular about what I wear).
I'm not sure if I just got a bum pair, but the Magnifly 5's just don't hit right on the run. I took them out twice- 3 miles each time to break them in- and during both runs I was having joint pain that I haven't had in years. The first day, straight out of the box, my knee was hurting and I could tell that my feet weren't striking correctly on the ground. I took a couple of days off to let my knee calm down, figuring it was just bad form on my part, perhaps due to tight muscles from sitting at my desk for a good portion of the day. During my second run, however, my hips were hurting. I paid closer attention to my form this time to see if I could figure out what was causing this sudden joint pain on my runs and I came to realize that something in the heel of the shoe wasn't striking right, which was causing me to change my form.
I have since done a 5k in my old Magnifly 4's without issue. Unfortunately, these 5's are being sent back to Topo, but I was luckily able to snag another pair of 4's before they were totally cleared out of stock. I'm not sure what exactly changed in the design between the 4 and the 5, but I'm bummed that they didn't work out for me.
*I feel weird noting that these feel a half size too big because every pair of Topo shoes I've ever owned I've bought as a half size up. If you're a seasoned Topo runner, these are the same fit they've always been regarding shoe size- but for anybody new to the brand, I always recommend buying a half size up.

I'm new to Topo Athletic running shoes and saw them recommended for wide foot folks and had to give them a try. I love these shoes. Buh-bye Altra! I appreciate the wide, but not sloppy toe box and the upper that fits just right, it is super comfortable. The cushioning is perfect, bouncy but not squishy--makes running on concrete bike paths much more pleasant.
