I am petite with slim legs/calves and these boots hit me oddly in the calf area. They were mid-calf on my already-not-so-long legs, and made my legs look even shorter than they are. I know, I know, the description says 'Calf-hi', but I needed to see these boots in person to know what exactly that meant in this brand. The very top of the boot was uncomfortably snug on my small calves but the ankle area was way too big. The insole was not nearly as comfortable as that of the knee-high, lace-up, fringe boot (the most comfortable shoe I have EVER worn). These are cute boots, but they are not going to work for my wardrobe needs. Fortunately, Zappos provides AMAZING customer service, so the return will be hassle-free.

I have wanted these boots literally for years! I wanted to try them on in store tho because I have a bit of a wider more muscular calf. For starters they're just as beautiful as I've always thought they were. I always wear an 8.5 unfortunately Minnetonka only comes in whole sizes so I went a size up due to reviews. I anticipated a little extra wiggle room in the toe base and that I would have to wear the calf a little slouchy until they stretched to fit since they're leather/suede. They arrive and are a gorgeous light grey just as I imagined, but they look awfully small. So I go to try them on and cannot even get my foot through the shaft of the boot. I am devastated but do not want to give up on them so I go through the speedy exchange process and order a size 10, 1.5 sizes larger then I normally wear, although I must admit I wasn't too optimistic. The size 10 arrives and they fit like a glove a little too much wiggle room in the toe but could easily be fixed with some thick socks, which is unfortunate cause I don't want to always wear them with thick socks for example in the middle of summer. Also I was a bit disappointed the size 10 was much much darker, on the box the 9 said light grey suede and the 10 said med grey suede, even though that wasn't a choice while ordering, just plain grey, I kept the 10's in the darker color cause I was concerned if I exchanged them again I wouldn't recieve the light grey anyway so I stuck with what fit. There are no arch support in these and it's exactly what I anticipated, they are moccasins people, not hiking boots, I've owned plenty of mocs and they never have support and its never a complaint because I west them for their style not their comfort, beauty is pain. Overall awesome boot, super whack sizing but once you find what size you are it rocks. Still upset about the color but I haven't worn them out and about yet so I'm still considering exchanging. These are a must have for all fashionistas.

This shoe is so cute and very stylish and my hopes were high but right out of the box I could tell they weren't going to work. The shoe itself is extremely narrow. I have a fairly standard foot width and these were crazy narrow and 1/2 size too small. Order up a half size and if you have a wider foot, skip this shoe.

I am 5'1 112 lbs with a 12.5 inch calf. These strangled my calf. I seriously couldnt even pull them up over skinny jeans without pain. Tried them on with leggings, still to tight. I tried on several other pairs in a retail store, the same problem. I dont understand who these fit. I called Minnatonka, and they admited to others calling due to the same problem. Very dissapointed. I wanted the real deal. I am going to have to by a cheap look alike.

I love these boots, but now they sag down and are more like ankle boots. Does anybody have a solution?

These shoes run about a size small. They are not true to size. Unfortunately for me, the largest size these are offered in is a size 10. I needed an 11. I was so heart broken because I really loved these boots and wanted to own them. If only they were offered in size 11.

I received a defective pair. It is too bad because I really liked those boots but I have to return them because the fringe on one of the boot is 2'' higher than the other boot. Those boots are super cute, the only drawback is the poor quality control. If you are order, i recommend buying two pairs then return one of them, since Zappos has great customer service, they won't let you down! Also, I'm usually a 8.5 and I bought a size 9, it fits perfect and I would def recommend this boots to anyone if the quality control was a bit better!

I loved these boots, but I must be in between sizes. One size was too small and the next size up was too big. And then both sizes were too small around my leg. But the shoes are very well made and super cute - just not the right shoes for me!

My teenaged daughter loves the boots that arrived today, and I'm amused and charmed that they are reminiscent of hippie wear of my own generation. The quality control is unfortunately poor, however. One boot's foot bed was a noticeable 3/8" wider than the other. The lack of a lining on a dyed suede boot means that socks, leggings, and jeans stain badly. I'll likely order a second pair to see if we can find matching boots.

Love them- I bought these in purple, they are true to size and of course you can see that there is no arch support, but you can buy a larger size and insert a pad and wear with socks. I sometimes have a problem with boots being too narrow, but I got these on and they fit my calf. I had a hard time making up my mind what color to buy. I wanted to buy more than one, but obviously they are not that practical a style and I prefer a higher heeled boot.

It was impossible to get them on without a zipper !

I was so disappointed with these boots. They were impossible to put on and way to tight on my calf. So sad :(

Fit is not very good since they only offer full sizes. I normally wear a 7.5 and these fit a little too big. Also the sole is kind of flimsy and does not give any kind of cushioned support.

These run great for a skinny legged person. My granddaughter who is 12 and weighs around 100 pounds cannot even pull them up. There is no zipper to help the process.

I bought these for my daughter, and after reading other reviews, ordered half a size bigger than she normally wears. She could not even get them on! I have ordered another size up because she really loves the look of them. Hopefully they will work. They look well made. Zappos is amazing! Thanks for the easy return!

I really loved the look of these boots, but the comfort level was terrible! I wore them once and had to return them, my feet got blisters and they dug into my ankles!

These boots are incredibly narrow! I have average to wide feet and they were incredibly uncomfortable. I realize they would have stretched out after a while, but my feet would have lopped over the sole and just looked ridiculous. They're cute, but unfortunately they are going back.

While these shoes are very attractive, the bottom fell off of one of them--after only a few wearings! We are going to try a replacement pair and hopefully they'll hold up better!

So disappointed! I fell in LOVE when I saw these boots! I used to have a pair of boots with fringe in high school that I wore all the time, so really got my hopes up when I saw these. Part rocker, part hippie. But, I knew as soon as I saw them, I should have trusted my gut. Even though I reviewed the measurements before I ordered them, I thought, surely the numbers must be off, as the picture makes them look much taller. Wrong! I can barely get them on, as the top of the boot hits right in the middle of the biggest part of my calf. As if that wasn't enough disappointment, the length and width across the foot are way small. Heading back tomorrow.

Boot not well made - The inside of this boot has the soul backing not properly put down,because of this,there is a sharp area that cuts the bottom of my foot.I am surprised by this,for I have bought before from that maker,and have found it to be of good quality.

Ridiculously small. Ordered a 9, I’m an 8.5, but could not get the boot on. Way too narrow from top to bottom for a normal fit. Super disappointed. I dont think the sizes are true at all.

If you go to the original website. The bottom of the boots have the name brand on them. These boots don't even have name brand on the bottom. They fake. And they charge the same as the original which is completely messed up. I should sue y'all for false advertisement. This kind of pisses me off seeing people getting ripped off. Some of them have the name brand on the bottom but not this color. Be careful people. Look at those pics closely.

This is a very cute, trendy style of boots but the insole is so narrow my feet were hanging off both sides of it and I have never needed wide sized shoes or boots. I wore them around the house and they felt terrible, like I was walking on an upturned 2X4. I wear a 7½ ordered an 8 and they fit but were slightly tight. Even though I like the style, I cannot rate these boots over one star because the ridiculously narrow insole makes them unwearable. I got the Minnetonka short fringe boot also and same issue. Too bad that I had to return them.
