These fit well! They also didn't make my feet cold when i shoveled the snow off my driveway. They're easy to slip on, but the laces were confusing to me at first but then i got the hang on how to lace them right.

Thank you Timberland for the FREE Mt. Maddsen mid lace up hiking boots. This was a part of a tester group that gave me free boots in exchange for a review. I actually loved the design for a hiking boots they looks stylish and were pretty comfortable. Now I will say you will need to break them in around the top they are firm materials that hurt a bit if you haven't broke them in. They have a nice design and my feet didn't hurt after using them. They have great soles and kinda curved so walking heal to toe isn't still and feels good when walking.

I spend a lot of time outdoors hiking and Timberland Mt. Maddsen Mid Lace-Up Hiking Boots offer many amazing features. The boots are very comfortable and provide great ankle support. The rubber lug outsoles great for walk in, as it allows for a more rolling and less jarring stride while hiking. It fits true to size and suited for long backpacking adventures and day trips. I received this product complimentary from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest opinion and would definitely recommend it.

I go hiking frequently in the mountains of New Mexico and the deserts of West Texas and I've gone through plenty of hiking boots and after getting a pair of these from Timberlands I wonder why I never got these in the first place! They're super durable, light weight, and stylish so they don't just look like they're meant for hiking. It gripped onto the trail easily and after a couple wears it got really used to my feet. They handle terrain very well.

My new Men's Mt. Maddsen Mid Lace-Up Hiking Boots have definently held me up nicely with the recent ice and snow this winter in IN. The outsole has a strong grip that makes each step feel confident and true. Not to mention these boots are slick and stylish for casual wear as well. The smooth "REAL" leather design goes great whether I'm dressing up for work or down for camping/hiking at one of many of our State Parks. After my 3rd time wearing them I knew I HAD to purchase a DUPLICATE PAIR! One specifically for working hours, the other for play! I honestly choose these boots to wear over ANY OTHER pairs of shoes I own, sneakers & slippers included..lol! Their COMFORT just CANNOT be OUTDONE!

I couldn't be more impressed with their overall performance during my outdoor adventures. These boots have truly exceeded my expectations, and here's why: -Durability: From rocky terrains to muddy trails, these boots have held up exceptionally well. The build quality is robust, and after several hikes, there's minimal wear and tear. The reinforced toe and heel provide extra protection, making them perfect for challenging environments. -Traction: The grip on these boots is outstanding. Whether I was navigating slippery rocks or steep ascents, I always felt secure and stable. The multidirectional lugs on the sole provide excellent traction, giving me the confidence to tackle various terrains without any concerns. Comfort: One of the standout features is the exceptional comfort these boots offer. The insoles provide ample support, and the padding around the ankle ensures a snug fit without causing any discomfort. Even during long hikes, my feet remained comfortable and blister-free.

When I ride my bike for work, they're comfortable and tuff enough to handle the changing climate in the city. I like the look and style of the boot.

My final decision to purchase this boot came down to color combo, yet after opening the box it didn't match that what was offered online. I've only work them a couple of times. Will reserve any further judgement later.

No where on this boot does it say waterproof or that it has a waterproof membrane. Be aware that the tongue is not gusseted either so crap can get into your boot. They are comfortable but just a little disappointing

Boots feel good and solid after a good few miles out. I have done around 20 miles in these boots, almost all of it has been in muddy or snowy terrain while carrying around 40lbs. Through these hikes the boots have held up well, but only time will tell if they will remain this way. I have very wide feet so I always go half a size up but after wearing these I would say they run a little large overall. I would've gotten the regular and most people should go a half size smaller. My first complaint are that the lacing is strange, I can't quite put my finger on it, my foot at the front of the boot has way to much room to move vertically, even with lacing it down. My other complaint is that these boots reek! Seriously! They stink to high-heaven of glue and industrial smells, when I first got them it was room filling but now it's only about a 3 foot radius. This is after many mud baths and hikes so the smell is a tough one. Since I only wear these outdoors, on hikes, it's not a big deal but if you wear these indoors be warned. Overall I would say 7.5/10

I was putting on the boots this morning for my daily hike. 1. Blister on my right heel: I noticed that the Protective Fabric inside the boot on the right heel is worn away after 54 miles of use. My right heel has been rubbing against the harder leather that is past the worn out lining, which seems to be tge cause of my blister. 2. Star Rating: Took off one Star due to material on right heel being worn away after 54 miles of use

Way too narrow if your foot needs a 4E to be comfortable the toe box is narrow and pointy to be EE. I returned immediately for a spare pair of Keen Targhee II Mid EE which are the widest toe hikers I have found.
I'd also recommend:

The black hiking boot exceeded my expectations with its durable construction and excellent traction. Its waterproof feature kept my feet dry during unexpected rain, while the ankle support provided stability on uneven terrain. The comfortable fit and reinforced toe made it a reliable choice for long hikes. The sleek black design added a stylish touch, making it versatile for various outdoor activities. Overall, a top-notch hiking boot that combines performance and aesthetics.

I found these boots to be very stiff. The lace up was also difficult, having to pull hard on the laces to tighten up the fit. They might have loosened up after a while, but I much prefer the Timberland model 15130 chocorua style.

My first boots were Timberlands back in the early 2000s, so when I was offered a chance to review some Mt. Maddsen Mid length lace-ups, I jumped at the chance to go down memory lane. This product was sent to me free in exchange for this review. My immediate reaction was pleasant surprise. The Maddsen's broke in relatively quickly (about a week of regular daytime use to get comfortable) and feel much lighter than other boots I've purchased from Timberline in the past. The waterproofing is good, holding up on a number of slushy Colorado winter walks, and these boots look nice enough to wear to most work meetings as well as hikes. On the flip side, I found myself disappointed in the lacing system and style. The four lace hooks are set very high on the boot and the tongue of the shoe sets low. This makes it very easy for the laces to slip under the tongue when walking. For daytime use and short hikes, this isn't a deal breaker, but I can see annoyance growing on longer hikes along with blister/rubbing concerns. Ultimately, these probably won't replace my current summer hikers, but will fill a niche in my hiking gear for short to medium winter and shoulder season hikes along with work walks in muddy areas. In short, it's a boot for some situations and does a job well. It's probable experienced hikers can play with the lacing set up to make this a very good part of their closet.

after lifting the delivery, I was taken back on how lite the package was, and a red flag went off immediately. Opening the delivery, I saw how cheaply made and thin the construction of upper portion of this boot was. I've had Timberland hiking boots and they were great. Timberland was a product that I always sought because of quality. I will not anymore, very disappointed.

If the product was sold as new, I would hope it comes as new. I could tell it was preowned when I first opened the box. The more I inspect, the worse it gets. There's even creasing on one of the boots

These boots started falling apart on the side rubbish material within a few months of use. I have many timberland products and used to be a timberland advocate, but this one really disappointed.

Got these endings of May by the middle of July they started falling apart from the sides very cheap material. My use with them was typical yard work mowing the grass and just using every day work as aircraft mechanic. They are comfortable after replacing the soles but I wouldn't recommend these, I actually wanted to try there different style that's all leather but I'm not sure if I should even bother.
