These have been my go-to hiking socks for years. Besides the obvious benefits of wool (warm even when wet, odor-resistant, washable, ...), they are extremely durable and long-lasting. I like the full cushion socks for cool / cold weather and the light cushion socks for warm weather.

Clings too tight around lower calf.

I do not like how these socks fit. I have another pair from you that are like this. They are way too loose and sloppy when putting on boots. I would not buy this type again.

Love these socks, very comfy and keep my feet warm on the cold winter floors. But there seems to be a problem with the manufacturing. I ordered 2 pairs in February of 2024 One pair had cardboard and glue embedded into the socks. I returned the damaged pair with no problem. (The return process is really quite simple). Loved the pair that I kept so much that I just bought 3 more pairs in January 2025. 1 of the pairs was perfect and im actually wearing them now as i sit here typing. The second pair was glued together with no way of separating the with getting out the scissors so they got returned (again very simple to do) And the third pair had a small glob of glue near the top of one of the socks but no big deal I kept them. I've bought several pairs and different styles of smartwool socks and im very happy with them, the only trouble I have is with these Hike Edition Second Cuts. I'm still a happy smartwool customer and will be coming back for more

I ordered 2 pair- one pair arrived with blobs of hot glue soaked into the fabric from the packing job. Smartwool refunded the cost of the damaged pair instead of just shipping a replacement pair & wants me to pay for the shipping cost if I order another pair. Not a very good policy...

I have been buying smartwool socks since the company started. I have loved them for decades but i recently purchased 5 pair and unfortunatly they are not as good as they were in the past. the elastic is not as well made and the toe box is made in a way that they are not comfortable for hiking. I plan to return them. Sorry smartwool you have lost one of your biggest fans.
