Great technical layer for hot days and long ultras or days out adventuring. Dries super fast, feels like you aren't wearing anything. Great sun hoody!

I reviewed this hoody after receiving it and being disappointed in some of the hangtag product description. 1) The UPF wash out claim 2) The lack of any anti stink treatment. I was planning on returning it however the hoodie I ordered from another company never showed up and the Colorado sun doesn't wait for anyone. I've had about 7 different sun hoodies over the years this one is 1) The coolest, breeziest, fastest drying I've ever experienced. 2) The fit and finish is also S tier and raises the bar. I spoke to some industry experts and understand the mineral process these types of materials go through and it should provide plenty of long term use and still some level of sun protection even after the mineral enhancement washes out. I do still wish for some level of anti-stink treatment as I typically wear this type of item on my daily runs in the summer and it would be a major bonus to not have to wash it every day. With wool I can wash it weekly. This however, is so much cooler than wool. It's definitely worth having in your quiver.

I like to fit and material, downside is the material, it's snacks on everything, snagged four or five places on the front of the shirt first time I wore it

Purchased this for my Father. He loved the air vents on the sides, and the fabric feel against his skin. He did not feel overheated as he does in most cotton shirts - so it was a good replacement during hot days except it was very tight across his chest and the hood was tiny. He is 6'2'' 160 lbs, and we bought a large. Will be returning.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of durability in the UPF being only good for "10 washes". Wearing it out: it's very comfortable, does well in the heat, and looks great. 10 washes is regrettable.

I've only worn it once out on a boat and it is already stained, and pilled too easy. I'm very unhappy with this product.

It's lightweight and sheds heat well. First time I wore it for a 10 miler with my Salomon 5L vest that I use for nearly every run. The material is so thin where the shirt meets the vest it caused a lot of rubbing. Never had that issue with other shirts so it's this material.

Was so excited to get this very well designed sun hoodie and thought I'd have a new summer best friend. Unfortunately when I read the hangtag I noticed it said the UPF protection lasts up to 10 washes. Also there is no mention of any anti stink treatment. I contacted customer support to verify. I was informed that yes the UPF degrades an no there is no anti microbial. Also, the hangtag prominently displays "Circular Design". I'm not sure what is circular about a product that stops working after 10 washes and (from my experience with polyester sun hoodies) will become unbearably stinky around the same time frame. I still love you North Face and I know you can do better but I'll be returning this piece. Also, top notch customer service as always I had a human on chat within 2 minutes who was helpful and knowledgeable.
