I bought these after doing a lot of research on Super Shoes and because I run in Asics Gel-Nimbus, soon to be Superblast 2, I decided on Asics. I ran a 5 miler and did much better than expected. Not sure it is the shoe but they felt good. I can't believe how light these shoes are. I only use them in races, not training which is why I am buying the Superblast 2 for training ... if only they weren't out of stock.

You must have a neutral step and enough strengthening in your feet since they are quite unstable.

Didn't work for me. They run small and not as supportive on the ankles as I'm used to with Novablast.

These shoes are super fast! The only issue I have with them is that the toe box is a little snug in my natural size so I wish I had ordered a half size larger.

I was looking for shoes for the Chicago marathon. I loved these shoes on a treadmill. I expended less effort at faster paces. On the roads unfortunately I didnt see this. I skipped them for the marathon but will see they work in half marathons. .

I love running in these shoes! They are indeed lighter than air! If there was one drawback to point to, it's durability. This is the third pair I've had, and I notice that they simply don't last nearly as long as the shoes I used to run in ASICS Nimbus). The tread wears out quickly and the fabric at the heel develops holes after a few months. Nonetheless, I'm more than willing to sacrifice longevity for comfort.

I'm a 46 year old guy that was a decent middle distance HS / college runner in my prime. I've been having trouble hitting the times I want to hit without getting burnt out or fatigued. My body can only handle around 40 mi. per week now, which limits my potential times for long distance races a bit. Up until today, my goal was to run a half marathon (this year) in around 1:25, or about 6:30 pace. However... I did a 7 mi. tempo run today in my new pair of Metaspeed Sky Paris shoes, and I averaged 6:15 per mile (running at 85 to 90% effort). This is my first pair of "super shoes" and all I have to say is wow! I can honestly say, they give me a 10 to 15 sec. per mile benefit for sure and are the real deal. I did a lot of research on these and havent tried the Metaspeed Edge, but I highly recommend these Metaspeed Skys. I do tend to be a mid foot striker and they really help me keep my form and momentum throughout longer distance runs. However, I'm sure they'd work great for anything from 5k to marathon. I do recommend going 1/2 size up. I wear size 11 in Brooks and Saucony, but (for me) Asics consistently are a half size short for me. I have medium to slighly wide feed and low arches. I went with size 11.5 and they fit me great!

It is a great shoe. The technology behind it is great. Super light. The shoe does what its supposed to. It propels you forward. I never had shoes with carbon plate. These exceeded my expectations. I ran faster than ever, and I felt it. Even running uphill, it was effortless

I ordered online my standard size and found very quickly I should have sized up a half size. I returned the Metas the next day having to eat the shipping cost. The shoes were received by ASICS on September 24 but to date still no refund. When I tried them on I was happy with the springiness and would love to order a larger pair for race day but not until Im refunded.

These shoes are incredibly lightweight and have a great spring. However, around mile 9 of my half marathon, I realized that my big toe was slamming against the front of the shoe. I got these in the same size as my gel nimbus shoes, so I'd suggest sizing up from your regular size.

Every now and then, I genuinely feel as though a Running shoe changes my total game, and approach to racing. These shoes are definitely one of those times - more spring, less weight, more cushion on the joints after a long bike ride, more speed, more FUN running with them! These babies es will be my racing shoe of choice for Tris into 2025! The only downside is the shoe tongue which tends to get pushed downward during quick shoe change-ups in transition, but can be overcome with practice. Game On!

These are my replacements for Skechers SpeedFreeks. Very different shoes. The Skys have much more cushion and a much larger carbon plate, but they weigh less. Works for me. They are also fast. I have about 50 miles of workouts on them and my times are maybe 1% better. The plate flex point under the ball of the foot takes a little getting used to, but is not an issue. Also, the stack height is a bit high for me, but manageable and not a problem on the outdoor track. The shoes are bit squeaky.

Very lightweight. The heel portion of sole is a bit too small for my heel. Other than that, I love it.

Not my favorite super shoe. Toe box too narrow. Go up a half size. Better super shoes on market. New Balance and Saucony have done it better imho

Excellent dynamics for speed running and good cushioning. Needs more arch support and runs small compared to all other ASICS models I have.
