Unfortunately, these ride up quite a bit. I was so in love with the method tight. I purchased the same size in the spark 5" but they don't stay put like the method did. Was hoping to wear them to Chicago but tried them out for a short run and didn't think they'd be comfortable for a long run

While I like the material and the fit, the seams started coming apart during the first wear and wash. After the first time I wore these shorts when I took them off I noticed two long strings unraveling from the inside seams. I cut the strings and put them in the wash with the cycle on "gentle". I hung dried them instead of using the dryer as I do will all my sweat-wicking material, but as I was hanging them I noticed two more strings unraveling from the inside seams. I have now worn them three times and washed twice (hang drying each time), and the inside seams continue to unravel. This is not the quality I have come to expect from Brooks, so I am fairly disappointed. The only issue I have is the quality of the seams, and maybe it was just the pair that I received. As I said at the beginning, I do like the material and the fit. The compression is perfect, not too tight as some of my high performance tights are, which I appreciated because it felt like my legs could breathe. The pockets are perfectly designed to keep whatever you're carrying secure.

I bought a pair of the Spark 5" shirts at a race expo, wore them for the race and immediately afterwards ordered another pair in pink. Very comfortable, length is perfect (even for petite people), and they don't ride up when running. The two pockets on the side are large enough to hold my phone in one and gels in the other. Small pocket in the back on the waistband. The only thing that would make these perfect is for that little pocket to have a zipper. Otherwise, they are great shirts for training or racing in. Just for reference, I'm 5'2" and weigh 118lbs.

I LOVE these shorts. The compression is amazing. Thicker fabric (so no skin peek-a-boo in direct light.) Minimal ride up on the legs. Higher waist is comfortable and flattering. I hit the track with my cell phone in the side pocket and never have an issue with my phone falling out.

Perfect fit! Love these shorts on hot days of summer running. Pockets are my favorite and big enough for my phone. Will definitely get more colors!

The shorts fit very well. They are comfortable and well made.I love the pockets in the shorts. It makes it very convenient to carry my needed phone, keys and card or cash with me on the run.

Absolutely my go to shorts for running! Well constructed, lots of storage on the sides and back pocket for tech gels and keys if you need it. Wicks perspiration away. Snug but comfortable fit for zero chaffing and they look awesome, especially with the matching top.

These are the best running shorts! Fit well and stay in place.

Really hoping to find a good pair of running shorts but they ride up quite a bit, and fabric is a bit thick and doesn't dry out quickly so sweat is easily seen for a long time

I absolutely love this running short. This is my 5th purchase. Material is elastic and feels great. No shuffling even for a marathon+ distance. Pockets are deeper in this newer version and love the packets to hold my phone, small water bottles, gels.

My be my new favorite shorts for short to medium runs. Pockets are the perfect size and the shorts don't ride up like others. I bought two pairs and I'm very happy with them!

I love these shorts! I am 5'7", about 140lb and ordered a medium. The waistband is the same size as a small in my chaser shorts so be aware of that. The material is more of a brushed finish than the method line. They didn't budge on my run, love the waist pocket for my phone and the side pockets have a stretchy mesh lining that is very secure. I have black and blue so far and may have to stock up on a few more.

When the description says no chafe and no riding up youd hope theyd deliver on that, but these shorts did both of those things. I think they were trying to improve the moment tight- but the drawstring is necessary. 5 inseam is actually closer to 3 if you have any kind of butt and once they ride up, they are so tiny. After an outdoor 7 mile run, my inner thighs were sliced and cut up from these.

I really wanted to like these. I like the side pockets for my phone. They seem a little loose in fit. So far when Im running, these tights tend to ride up on my legs, and I dont like having to continuously pull them down. I will still use them, but if I were to order a new pair I might size down a size which is surprising for me as with Brooks products I usually size up a size.

These shorts are darn near perfect. The pocket placement feels a bit strange to me but I think its because the way the seam is. Either way - 5/5. They look so cute, theyre comfy, they wash well, etc etc. great quality from brooks! True to size. I wear a L and I am approx 33 waist and 44 hip (typically a size 12ish)

I am just getting back into my workout and running game and have found these shirts to be very comfortable!! I have loved the fit and feel of the fabric. They re just the right fabric weight and are not see through and dont bleed or pill from use. I really love that they dont roll down when Im running and I dont have to pull them up or adjust them during exercise. That is a huge bonus for me! Its important Im not needing to adjust my waist or length when Im moving and exercising. I have also enjoyed these shorts for yoga as well! They are super comfy for working out and running and also great for around the house wear while playing with my toddler. I love having a pocket in them for my phone or keys! Overall, Im happy with the fabric design and feel. The sizes are true to size! And I have no complaints about these shorts!

I have loved wearing these shorts. They are thin but thick enough to provide better coverage for bends and help to prevent chafing. They keep me warm as well for my outdoor runs and do a great job at helping with my sweat. I havent had any issues with ride up or down waistband fold downs and am very happy with the fit and feel. They are perfect for running, walks or just lounging around the house.

The Spark 5" Short Tight has become my new go-to shorts, not just for running, but for also wearing around the house and the town. Im pretty picky with leggings / running shorts because the fabric in so many pile and look worn immediately after washing. These surprisingly has gone through the wash at least 4 times now and has shown no signs of wearing down yet. The other issue I have with many similar shorts is that they pinch around my love handles and stomach area but the quality in this fabric actually smoothes and slims those areas but without feeling too tight. It honestly feels next to nothing and thats honestly the best thing about these shorts. It stretches with you in a way that you hardly even notice youre wearing them. The fabric also is the right thickness that it isnt see through in the sunlight or when bending over. I will definitely be buying more.

When I received the Spark 5" Short Tight I was excited to see how lite it would feel. It was definitely worth it. It feels like your running with nothing on and does not bunch in the inner thigh area while running. The feel is great and the look is even better. Its just long enough and just short enough. I love the colors they come in that match most all shirts I use when running. Im running right now I cold weather so not sure how sweat affects it or feels against my skin. I also gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it runs a bit smaller in the belly area.

The Brooks Spark 5" Short Tight are comfortable breathable running shorts. They have a small pocket on the leg that is convenient and keeps my phone secure. Overall the material is very comfortable and breathable and they are now in my rotation. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of running shorts.
