I hike and walk my dog in the woods and I walk through rivers and streams a lot.
I need shoes that:
1) Are supportive enough to actually hike in-- and
2) I can walk through and INTO muddy, rocky rivers and streams in (usually chasing my dog)-- and
3)Then keep hiking-- and
4)Have them dry overnight or faster so I can wear them again.
It has been SOOO difficult to find these.
"Water Sandals" are not supportive enough to hike in and THEY HURT, and are so open that all sorts of rocks and stones get into them and under your feet, and those rigid straps give me blisters. Standard "waterproof" shoes still let water in at the top if you actually submerge your feet--and I do-- and get soaked from the inside out. And then take DAYS to dry. These shoes are closed with mesh (no rocks and stones getting in) and are MEANT TO GET WET and then dry quickly. And they actually are soft, and don't give me blisters even without socks and everything gives me blisters!! WHY were these so hard to find? I would give 10 stars if I could, and have SERIOUSLY tried and tried to find shoes like these. You won't find them anywhere else (which I don't understand).

These are good for water shoes, but as walking shoes, they are a little sloshy. The sizing is right, but they feel like they would stretch out a good bit if I use them regularly for walking. I expected excellence from Columbia brand, but didn't find that in these.

Agree with other reviewers that the tongue should not be affixed to the shoe. They are difficult to put on, especially if they are damp. I wear my orthotic in them since I use for water walking and jogging. Overall they are the best water shoe I have owned. They are light weight and provide good stability and structure.

I finally had to replace my old, really old, Columbia water shoes that I use for kayaking. I spend some time in the water (launching, sometimes pulling on shore and having lunch, etc.) so I need shoes that let the water drain out and I don't like to use sandals. I confess I looked at many other brands and wound up choosing these. I am very happy with them, I like the shoelace tie for security, they are light, the water drains out and they look decent. Compared to my old ones, they do hold more water (it drains but my feet are still 'pruny' when I take them off) and they do collect a little more sand/rocks but overall I am very happy with them.

The tongue on this shoe makes it a challenge to put on the shoe.

I prefer that a tongue on a shoe comes away from the shoe. This shoe tongue is connected. I was hoping to use these as water aerobic shoes.

Great shoes when you worry about getting shoes wet. I did not use them as water shoes except once and they dried nicely afterwards

These shoes are NOT Columbia quality. I paid $80 for them and wish I had paid $30. They are only worth a knock-off price. Cheaply made. I should have heeded my instinct after wearing them around the house. Once worn outside, they showed their cheapness and are already misshapen. Junk.
