I have bunions and metatarsal pain. The Guide 17 Wide gives room for my forefoot while also having a narrow heel. The foam cushoning gives comfort to my metatarsal. This shoe is so comfortable that i bought a second pair!

My favorite thing about the shoe is the wide toe box so my toes aren't squished. They are also extremely comfy and I'm able to run long distances without my feet hurting.

Love my new Guide 17's, bit of a change from the 15 and 16's, but really enjoy these.

Great shoes! Very comfortable, I used to struggle with shin splints and these have drastically reduced them! Due to the extra cushioning I found they're not the best for speed but they're great for long distance running!

Let me start by saying I am not one to write reviews and if I do is to complain. These are incredible shoes! I am loving my guides 17. I've only had them for 2 weeks and bought them to add to my rotation but I find myself grabbing them every single time I go out for my runs, long or short. Very roomy toe box compared to other Saucony models and even other brands. I have very wide feet with an incredibly high instep and most wide models in other brands are not wide enough and still hurt my feet from every angle. Not these. I love how they feel on the road, not so much on a smooth trail surface but they're not trail so it's ok. However once the run transitions to road you feel the magic of these shoes, they can pick up the pace really quick! The stability is exquisite, super stable without being intrusive or aggressive, it's almost as if you weren't using a stability shoe at all, specially because they're so light. I am very satisfied so far with this new iteration and we shall see how the sole fares in a few months.
Please keep making roomy shoes, and consider adding more fun colors for us wide footed people. It's sad to only have darker boring colors, I want to be bright and seen when running.

I have worn Brooks Adrenaline GTS for years. I over pronate, have plantar fasciitis and arthritis in my feet, so insert a custom orthotic. Over the years, (now 75) I need a wider toe box. I tried the Saucony Guide 17 in 9 W and 9.5 M. I am keeping the 9.5 M as I have a narrow heel. The shoe seems to be well cushioned. We shall see if it adequately supports my feet during a 3 mile walk. It seems to me that the toe box of many athletic shoes has become narrower over the years....or perhaps my toes have become wider?

Quite frankly the very best shoe I have ever owned. Looking to actually purchase a second pair just to rotate them and prolong the life of the shoe. I have awful plantar fasciitis and these cushioning and support of this shoe is unparalleled. I have owned Hoka, On, Boork, Diadora, Nike, and New Balance and NONE come close.

I have been a Saucony shoe customer for over 25 years and the Guide 17 is by far the best running shoe I have ever worn! My feet are flat and have bunions, so comfort is key. This shoe delivers on comfort and support.

From the moment I slipped these shoes on, I could feel the precision of their design. The fit, as promised on the website, was impeccable, molding snugly to my feet without any uncomfortable pressure points. It's remarkable how they strike the perfect balance between support and flexibility, making them ideal not only for rigorous practice sessions but also for the intensity of race day.
Having gone through more than 20 different pairs of running shoes over the course of my career, I've become somewhat of a connoisseur. Yet, none have impressed me quite like these. They seem to understand the intricacies of my stride, providing just the right amount of cushioning and responsiveness with each step.
Whether I'm pounding the pavement on a long run or sprinting towards the finish line, these shoes deliver unparalleled performance. They're not just shoes; they're a testament to craftsmanship and innovation. If you're serious about your running, do yourself a favor and lace up a pair of thesethey're in a league of their own.

Best shoes ever! Great support and so comfortable! Felt like my feet were inside foam clouds! I actually bought an extra pair after wearing the first ones for two weeks. You can't go wrong with these. Hope this exact style continues.

I ordered this twice in desperation after reading so many opinions by so called experts in running that this was a great stability shoe. I felt I didn't give it enough of a chance the first time because the toebox is so wide they look ridiculous on my feet. I did get over it but what I couldn't get over was that this shoe had very little support on the side. The material was flimsy and I didn't like the rocker feel of this particular shoe, which I thought was way overdone. Back it went and the search, sadly continues. This is becoming a full time job.

I agree with the other review about making Saucony like Hokas...leave them be! The base on these shoes are too wide to get good movement in your ankles and foot. The rocker base and the softness of the shoe make the legs and feet sore. I always commended Saucony on never having a break-in period...I wish I could find the right shoe that I used to wear! My physical therapist liked my Hurricanes due to the narrow base to get good movement out of my ankles and feet after breaking my foot. Seems as if the arches have been lowered in all the shoes...

My guide 17s are soft with the perfect amount of cushioning and support. I train in them and wear them for speed runs. I recently ran the Disney ten miler and couldn't believe how different my feet felt after that race. These shoes are the best !!

While I have previously only purchased the 'Ride' series of your line-up, I have found that, with Guide 17's additional cushioning, my existing insole is no longer required. It feels like I'm running on a cushion of air, whether it be sidewalk, asphalt, or dirt. Looking forward to many more months of running with these.

LOVE them! Have to admit, I was concerned with stability on the higher profile sole but they feel super stable, so comfortable and cushyalmost like having a bounce in my step! Fits true to size.

This is my 3rd purchase of the Guide 17. These shoes fit well. They are so comfortable, they didn't need to be broken in.
