This review is for golfers who prefer walking 18 holes; if you are a runner, feel free to skip it.
I love these shoes and now that I have the correct size, they are so comfortable. I golf 6 days a week, sometimes 7, and I play in the early mornings when there is dew on the grass. Most times I'm out there with the first tee time teeing off, and the grass is wet, and I have other golf shoes that wouldn't make it past the first tee box to the fairway without my socks getting wet. By the time I get to the 18th hole, well, I'm used to it by then, but my socks and shoes are soaked. Well, I got the pair delivered yesterday, and I played in them this morning. For a minute, I thought my socks were going to get wet, but they didn't. My feet were so comfortable and dry throughout the whole round. My feet didn't hurt at the end of the round, and I felt like I was walking on a cloud, and I even played better than normal.

I love these shoes! Now that I have the correct size, they are incredibly comfortable. I golf six days a week, sometimes seven, often during the early mornings when there is dew on the grass. I've used other golf shoes that wouldn't make it past the first tee box without soaking my socks. By the time I reach the 18th hole, my socks and shoes are usually drenched.
However, I received this new pair yesterday and wore them for a round this morning. For a moment, I thought my socks might get wet, but they didn't at all! My feet stayed completely dry and comfortable throughout the entire round. They didn't hurt at all by the end, and it felt like I was walking on a cloud. Plus, I even played better than usual!
I would recommend ordering one size bigger than your standard shoe size, as they tend to run smalljust my personal opinion.

I beat the crap out of these shoes and they're wonderful. I have a wider foot and they fit nicely. The padding is great, the tread is great for hiking. I hardly use my hiking boots at all anymore. I've gotten them wet, muddy, dusty and they hold up really well.

I purchased my SpeedGoat 6 to use as a golf shoe. I walk 45 holes almost every week. I have Hoka Clifton that I run in. My son-in-law purchased a pair for the Speedgoat 50K. When I saw them I thought they might work great for golf. I was right. I love them on the course.

First, I purchased the Speedgoat6 shoes as Base/field shoes because I umpire baseball games. They provide very good grip (cleatage?) on the field. I did this because my traditional base shoes didn't and they cost me a severe hamstring pull. Also, the cloth uppers provided for less overheating on a very hot Summer afternoon.
My mistake was not spending the few extra bucks to get the GTX. For some reason (climate change?) we just got a number of rainy days. My feet got wet in the long, wet grass. Spend the extra few bucks.
Other than that, the Speedgoats fit fine, provide the grip that I need and I love them. Recommend to a friend/colleague? Would and have.

I'm an ICU RN, big guy (350lb.). I've worn New Balance for the past 18 years but in the last year, their shoes are too spongy, offering little to no support in the heel. I bought these due to popular demand. I can see why!!! Soft impact to the heel while providing firm support side to side. This particular shoe does not feel like a platform shoe with a massive foam heel. I'm 10 hours into my 12 hour shift and I have ZERO plantar fasciitis pain, my knees feel fine, and I don't feel worn out like I have with my NB. My new favorite shoe!!!

Great trail running/hiking shoes. Excellent traction on trail, plenty of cushion on rocks & roots. Highly recommend!

I LOVE the looks of these and they are so comfortable to wear. And weigh nothing. So I bought another pair (different colors) same awesome look, weigh and comfort level. Home run HOKA!!

Purchased for a hike up Pikes Peak - my first 14'er. My first impression was "oh no - too small". But I tried it again with thinner socks and got a good feel. Have put over 20 miles on them, the last hike was a very rocky 10 miles - including a couple miles off trail. They seemed to loosen up just a bit and I think we are going to have a good hike up Pikes Peak July 4 Weekend.

Have had many prior pairs of SpeedGoats GTX models. Bought these as they are good for summer hikes and work well as golf shoes double duty!

The best running shoes I own. Super light with plenty of cushioning. And they look super cool.

Upgraded to the Speedgoat 6 from the 5, and it feels similar but the new more traditional heel shape I like better.
The tongue is very thin, but I don't have an issue.
Also grips the mud and wet grass very well.

The comfort of the Hoka Speedgoat is great. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and have been wearing Brooks brand for years and they are good but not as good as these Hoka's! Will be purchasing a second pair when I catch the next sale. Fit is perfect, tread makes a bit of a gripping sound on linoleum and tile but not too loud. Very stable shoe.

Had the speedgoat 3, 4, now the 6. True to the line: signature Hoka "roll" makes your feet want to run, one of the best lockdowns across the top of the foot in the industry (no toe jamming on descents), grippy and smooth running outsole (good for trails and roads), cushion that keeps your feet fresh for long efforts. Not quite as much heel lock as something like a topo and the forefoot can be a little cramped if you try to lace up tight for technical terrain but the speedgoat will always have a place in my quiver. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. The goat just worksroad, gravel, technical mountain, ultras and you're missing out if you've never tried them!

I purchased these shoes to compete in outdoor events where the weather doesn't always cooperate. So far we've had sun, rain, mud and slippery surfaces and the SG's handled them great. Very pleased with the results.

Been running in Speedgoats for years, but ran into tear-out challenges in mid-section with SG5 consistently with relatively low milage. Kudos to Hoka for listening and fixing this issue. My SG6 have 300+ miles on highly technical, rocky, rooty terrain, and are holding up like a champ. Thank you! Now let's get the DECK stock back on track!!
