I have had these since Feb but had BC surgery so haven't had a chance to fully wear them in until recently. I dislike. I really thought I had found my new sneaker when brooks left me with nothing but disappointment. I actually feel like my two shoes are two different sizes?! It's the oddest thing. I've also developed corns where the too big shoe rubs on that foot. The other foot feels fine. I don't know if I can purchase again. :(

My first Hoka was the Arahi 6 and I loved them. I have totally worn them out. I ordered the Arahi 7. Believe the reviews that say the toe box is narrower - uncomfortably narrow. The support from the sole of the shoe is excellent. I don't mind the more rigid top of the shoe as my Arahi 6 had multiple rips by the time I reordered. The toe box of the Arahi 7 just does not have the same height of the Arahi 6. My foot felt pushed down into the sole. And it was a tight squeeze to get them on. I did reorder the 7 in a wide width though I am a medium width. I am hoping for the best on the reorder.

Thought I would try the Arahi shoe versus my usual Gaviata shoe. Bad idea for me. It runs narrower than the Gaviata particularly in the mid sole area and toe box. My feet were 'numb' in 10 minutes after wearing them regardless of time of day. That said, the most wonderful customer service and return process!

I've been wearing the arahi's for years. I still own pairs from the 5 & 6 edition and I'm not a fan of the 7's. They fit completely different on my foot and just don't feel the same. They are still comfortable and the best for me bc i have wide feet, but overall just not a fan this time around.

I wanted Hoka design and fit with an all black shoe and it delivers this. But- the style I'd really broad and clunky, not tapered like my current Arahi. I wonder if this is a truly out of style, need to get rid of hangover. Wouldn't buy it again. I'll find another brand that offers a trimmed down total black shoe.

I picked out these shoes, as I liked the look and they seemed to be what I was looking for. The left one felt ok, but the right one was killing the top of my foot. I had to return them

Why do they ALWAYS mess with a good thing?! After 2 pairs of Arahi 6 and a perfect 10.5 fit and comfort for my flat feet... these are just a tiny bit shorter. And I know becuase I have one foot just a tiny bit shorter than the other and a hard time finding shoes that fit well. I took these out the box, wore them around the house - no problem. So I took them on one of my regular 3-4 mile walks. I thought I felt some pressure on my big toe but I was convinced I imagined it. Nope. Did not imagine it. Now they're worn and unsuitable for long walks, if not entirely useless. Ugh.

The shoes are good looking, and have good materials. I need a very good cushioning and these one have a regular tennis cushioning. Also, the arch support feels uncomfortable.

I have bought Arahi in the past and they were much more comfortable out of the box. I believe it was Arahi 5. I've experimented with the Clifton, Challenger and Gaviota: all were comfortable right out of the box. This pair of Arahi 7 felt stiff and very narrow and I've been buying the same size for all my orders. After walking in them for 75 miles, they are finally feeling better on my feet. I've never had to break-in a pair of Hoka but I felt I needed to with this pair of Arahi 7. I really felt I would return them hadn't they become more comfortable after wearing them for 10 days.

I ordered the same make and size of my current hoka shoes and these shoes are way tighter in the toe. Tighter than a few days breaking in would fix. Most likely will try out another make of hokas tho! I do love these shoes for work.

This is my least favorite Arahi ever. And it's boring styling too, looks like an old lady shoe. And I'm 58haha. Such a bummer.

I have to retract my review from about 2 hours ago. After wearing my new Arahi 7 around the house a while longer, I feel that they are really not a true wide fit. The length (size 8) is true to size but the width from the tip of the toe back to the ankle bone is much narrower than the Arahai 6, 8 wide. I will be returning these shoes even though I really like the look of them.
I'd also recommend:

Fit seemed true to size but sneakers had less cushioning than I had hoped for and less flexibility when striding

I have severe inflammatory arthritis which affects every joint in my body. I thought I found the answer to my foot pain/plantar fasciitis when I found the Arahi 6 about a year ago. Fast forward to this year. When I went to purchase another pair, the 6 was replaced by the 7. Because I liked the 6 so much, I bought 2 pair of the 7's. My biggest complaint is the tongue. I have to pull it up every time I put on the shoes. It seems much thinner making it hard for my arthritic hands to grasp to pull up! It is also attached to the sides so it doesn't give. They are not as comfortable as the 6, but more comfortable than other brands I have tried. It is just very frustrating!

I had several pairs of Arahi 5 that I loved. The Arahi 7 is comfortable but feels bigger than my previous shoes. I also have to wear orthotics in my shoes. For some reason this pair squeaks very loudly on any hard surface when I have them in. The shoe does not squeak with the original liner in it. I'm hoping eventually it stops!

The Arahi 6 was the perfect shoe for me - no complaints whatsoever. The Arahi 7 on the other hand is a disappointment. Along with other complaints I have seen and agree with, I also do not like the dual gosseting. For someone with arthritis in fingers, it is difficult to pull the laces tight - I went and redid the laces ignoring the dual gossets. It would be nice if you would make both the Arahi 6 and 7 available to consumers - you may be surprised at how many of each are purchased. Bring Arahi 6 back!!!..... please!

Overall, I have always worn this shoe for work. I haven't brought any other brand of my last 6 pr or so purchases. However, I have to wonder what has changed because this most recent pair I have bought is hurting my feet. I have NEVER had any of the Hoka shoes bother my feet what so ever. Which is the reason for only 3 stars, I would normally rate 5 stars. I'm very disappointed in the comfort of this shoe. Would I recommend to a friend? Probably, but I would also mention how something in manufacturing has changed.

I purchased this model over my usual Clifton 9 and was not impressed. Wasn't comfortable from the moment I put them on. The toe box is smaller and I don't purchase wide shoes in the Clifton 9 style. So i exchanged for another pair of Clifton 9s. I do love my Hoka shoes. Sometimes the colors are a bit over the top for a person who uses them for walking.

Was super excited to get this because I was obssesed with accent color and look. Definitely should've kept the reviews in mind!
Support felt unevenly distributed throughout my feet which made for a very uncomfortable and streneous run. A little tight too, didn't really sit well on my feet in general. Ended up getting the Bondi 8's which I love!
