I love the Arahi 6. It's my go-to and I've had like 4 pairs. I wear a wide which gives me the roominess I need in the toebox. The new Arahi 7 has a different shape and is narrower in toe box (NO!) and wider through the mid foot. The foam also feels firmer/harder and less plush. Full disclosure, i did not run in these - but I knew after putting them on and feeling the tight fit through the toe box they weren't going to work. Luckily I have a couple pairs of new Arahi 6s coming so that will keep me set while Hoka figures out how to make the 8 more like the 6.

The Arahi 6 is perfect. Seniors beware of a significant change from the Arahi 6. The lacing on the Arahi 7 is difficult to adjust because, at 2 points on each shoe, the lace goes down one hole and up the next on each side of each shoe, preventing easy adjustment. You may also find that the standard version is slightly narrower than the Arahi 6, but not enough to pick the wide version.

I've been an Arahi fan since version 1 and have had multiple pairs of most editions. I first wore an 11 and now a 12 since Hola seems to have adjusted the size. I was anxiously waiting for version 7. My new pair arrived today and I took them for a spin around our local rec center. Here are some initial thoughts. 1) Despite the somewhat bland color choices, this is the nicest looking Arahi yet. It is plain but that's to its credit. 2) It's narrow. I have a narrow foot and the forefoot of most Arahi versions has been a tad wide.. These are narrow and people with a wider forefoot may find their feet cramped. (I have found that fit varies from color to color so this may not be true for all colors.) 3) The shoe is very firm, almost too firm, compared to the Arahi 6. At first I thought it was because the shoes had been sitting outdoors in a box all day in freezing temperatures. But even after a 3 mile walk, they were still very firm (I think responsive is the term Hoka uses to indicate firmness.) For Hola lovers, this may come as somewhat of a shock. Firmest Hoka I've worn yet. Feel of Hoka 6 was more to my liking. Not sure if I like the feel of the 7, but we'll see.

My new 7's arrived this week. There is much less cushion than the 6 and the shoe is much narrower.

The shoe fits very well but it is definitely not cream or tan color. I would say borderline peach.

I loved the Arahi 6 so much that I have 4 pairs so I was so hopeful that the 7 was going to be great too. Unfortunately, they are too narrow and tight in the toe box. I see some replies stating to switch to a wide size but it actually was a wide size that I purchased from a local retailer that felt way too tight, so I guess I have no where to go with this one. I have stalked the internet and found what appear to be the last pair of Arahi 6 (size 7.5 wide) unless I move to Alaska as they seem to have some there and I guess I'm going to have to make them last. Gaviota didn't work for me either when I tried those as a sub so unless Hoka is going back to what worked with the 6, I may have to try a different brand all together.

The 1st pair of Hoka's I bought were the Clifton 9. Although super comfy my foot moved around in them alot on my long walks. I would end up with blisters or really sore spots on my toes. That said, I knew I needed something with more stabilization. The Arahi7 is the perfect shoe. Super comfy, good arch support and my foot stays put. From the 1st walk I knew this would be my go to style from now on.

The fit and size on this new Arahi model is fine for me, though it is less cushion-y than the 6. Did road test yet; since I use these for serious amounts of fast, city walking, it will be interesting to see how the changes affect my feet. The vanilla color is more a bland peach tone than the khaki color pictured and I don't care for it. My negative review has nothing to do with the new model itself, but with the fact that I received a pair that was clearly USED—for which i paid full price—NOT OK!!! I am uploading photos of the scuffed, dirty, gritty soles showing that the shoe was obviously worn outdoors. The innersole is also creased by wear and darkened slightly. No tags are attached. I am so upset about this; it's never happened to me before with Zappos. This pair was NOT reduced in price to compensate or bought from a sale page. Am interested to know how and why I did not receive the brand new item I expected.

I work in food service and was in pain at the end of the day with the work shoes provided by management. I purchased these at the recommendation of my orthopedic doctor and it's night and day. I can walk just fine at the end of the day when I was limping and holding onto whatever I could find. I plan to buy more in other colors for every day use.

Will buy again. I own 6 pairs of HOKA sneakers. I have plantar fasciitis. Did some research and found Just what I needed. My podiatrist asked me what kind of sneakers I wear. I told her Hoka. She stated that Hoka is a great sneaker to wear. The Mariah 7 is especially great for plantar fasciitis. Thanks Hoka!!! Nancyb

I was pleased to find a shoe that was so comfortable and perfect for my narrow, flat, size 12 feet. It is usually really hard to find a women's size 12 that fits, because shoe companies feel all large feet are wide. I enjoy walking around the school in comfort all day. I am excited to purchase another pair soon.

I originally tried the Hoka Bondi 8, but felt like I was tripping over my feet as they were so big. These Arahi 7 are perfect in every way- fit my feet like a glove- no issues at all, comfortable for walking, and love the color! One of the best shoes I've ever owned!

As a 73 years young human with a significant history of falling (issues w/balance and neuropathy), I am head-over-heels in love with this shoe. I bought my first pair, Arahi 6, a year ago. The sales person said it was a good shoe to provide stability and support for me to go about my every day activities. Well, six months later, I purchased another pair of Arahi 6 in a beautiful shade of yellow called Sweet Corn (such a fun name for a color!). And now, a few months later, I am sporting this funky Arahi 7 to the gym twice a week!! Arahi Hokas are the ONLY shoes I wear now (casual, gym, dressy). Feeling safe when vertical is what it's all about!! THANK YOU!!!!

I didn't like the tongue in the sneaker. It was hard getting them on. I also didn't like the outward appearance. I also found the heel lower when walking.

I wanted to keep these shoes, but the right shoe was too tight and hurt my foot. The left foot felt good.

I started wearing the Arahi 6s for work, but quickly fell in love with them for running. They quickly became my staple running shoes until the 7s came out. I purchased a pair of the 7s not too long ago and initially regretted it, but I decided to give it a chance and try to break them in. It's been almost two months and they still feel so foreign on my feet. 1. The shoe itself is much harder. I love the 6s because of how cushioned they felt. The cushion for the 7s is a lot more firm, and the shoe itself is not as malleable. While a firmer shoe might work for some people, it no longer feels like an "Arahi." 2. The toe box is much more narrow. My foot width has always been a true D, and depending on shoe style, I switch between medium to wide. The Arahi 6 medium felt perfectly fine, but the medium width for Arahi 7 felt like it was compressing my foot in the front. I should have returned and gotten the wide, but not a fan at how much it's changed between versions of the same shoe. 3. The material of the Arahi 7s SUCKS. I don't even know how to explain it without you tactilely experiencing it for yourself. While the Arahi 6s were soft and almost "mesh-like" (probably not the best descriptor), the 7s felt like plastic. I also feel like the 7s did not allow for breathability and my feet were suffocating. Overall, Arahi 7s were such a great disappointment following the Arahi 6s. I did like the color selection for Arahi 7s, but would gladly take the style and functionality of the 6s over a greater selection of preferable colors. Please bring back the Arahi 6s.

I was extremely disappointed with this shoe. I purchased my first pair of Arahis and loved them. This shoe was made at a much lower level of quality. Very hard soles. Just bad, don't buy them save your money.

I have a pair of Arahi 6's that were amazing! The Arahi 7 is way too narrow. Also, I hate most of the women's colors that you guys make. I usually like the men's shoe colors better than the women's like olive green or a soft navy/blue. I also hate how you guys sometimes have your HUGE "HOKA" name on the side of your shoes which often looks so tacky. I want shoes that I can wear everyday with my regular everyday clothes, as well as, working out.

I'm a huge Arahi fan. I've worn the 4s, 5s, and 6s. They accommodated my orthotic and gave me the perfect combination of cushion and stability. My flat feet were so grateful. But the Arahi 7 is like a totally different shoe. The sole is rock-hard. Hoka says they'll break in with wear, but I didn't find that to be the case; the bottom of my heel became inflamed from these awful shoes. If you enjoy walking barefoot on cement, these are the shoes for you. I'm moving on.

Sorry I had to return. Zappos was great and accepted my return. I can't wear all Hoka shoes. It's me, not them. I have a prominent bone on the outside of my ankle. Some Hokas are just cut too high to be comfortable plus this shoe felt too big. Zappos was great with granting me an immediate credit.
