I would have returned if I hadn't worn them outside. The tongue is held in place with gores. Interesting feature but it squeezes the foot across the instep (like a bridge in card shuffling), my feet cramp after about 10 minutes of fast walking. Also the right shoe rubs my little toe, too snug right there. I carefully cut out the gores, it helped both issues a little. I got 2 pairs of Hokas this month, one pair had a left shoe too short (returned) and this one has a narrow right shoe. Come on Hoka, do better! (you charge enough)

I love my hokas don't get me wrong here but I decided to try the Mach 6 this time, I ordered wide... I'm usually a normal fit, but at work the wide just give me more stability. Either I didn't receive wide, or the wides are super tight and I can't image what the normal fit is.

I put this shoe on and stood in it for a while and it has the same problem as the other shoe. The outter right heel area is sunken in as if some has worn the shoe. I did feel the defect at first. I have worn them outside but to stand in them and for that much sunkeness im disappointed. I would like a return. Someone needs to check the people sending these products out. These are the second pair that I have to send back.

Love the sleek look of the shoe but for long walks, I was in pain after 2-3 miles. Needs a better insole for support.

I like the shoes but I have an older pair of Hoka that are softer material and feel like a wider shoe.

I dislike the rubber tongue very much. If I'm wearing no-show socks and the top of my foot sweats, the rubber creates a rash on the top of my foot. Also, the tongue is very thin and short, I'm afraid to pull on it as it feels like it could tear. Would not buy again because of the tongue.

HOKA materials quality and cushioning has significantly deteriorated over the past few years. The shoes feel flimsy.

With all the changes with my go to New Balance brand, thought I'd give Hoka a try on recommendations from my run group. I love the 6.8 oz lightness, reminds me of the NB Zantes of days passedthe toe box and balance was great to help me keep pace and feet less tiring. However, after 200 miles, the rear sole patch started peeling. It peeled so bad I had to cut off the piece to avoid being tripped by it. Was hoping it was a fluke but another 100 miles, the rest of the piece peeled off and the other side started peeling as well. So highly disappointed in the quality of construction. I have been running for the past 30 years (mostly in New Balance) and never had traction patches peeling, only worn off.is anyone else experiencing this?

Ok, this is a hard review to make. The shoes are very nice, but not for me. I have a little imbalance due to a spinal injury and the shoes cause a bit of rocking motion when I walk. For anyone else, please give them a try.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks

I have true wide feet with high insteps and bunions. I was very hopeful about the Mach 6, but they ended up being the most painful shoe I have ever tried on. I ordered the wide width and was shocked to find that they were still extremely narrow. I had to double check and make sure I did not order narrow width on accident. After 5 minutes of wearing the shoe around my house my feet were in a ton of pain and fully inflamed. Thankfully, I have found a different Hoka model that works for me. I have returned my Mach 6 and would only reccomend them to friends with extremely narrow feet and individuals who do not want a supportive shoe.

Trying to find a replacement for my beloved Arahi 6's and based on reviews, tried these. Really good arch support, but felt really unstable. I'm an under-pronator so have never felt the sensation of my foot rolling inward til trying these shoes. Super weird feeling, like being on a bosu ball. I could see that feeling being useful during running, but not for regular walking, travel, etc. Felt like I was straining my knee, and might twist an ankle!

I had the Mach 5's and loved them. I decided to give the Mach 6's a try without trying them on first. That was a mistake. The toe box is narrower than the Mach 5's. I love Hoka and also have the Clifton 8, 9, and 10. I have also tried other models in the past that Hoka has since discontinued. I wish Hoka could just leave a shoe alone instead of constantly revamping a model or discontinuing.

Purchased this model to have a non-vibram sole for walking on hard surfaces. I usually wear Speed Goat or Bondi. The toe box is narrow. One shoe is tight on my smaller foot, but fits on the larger foot. The color is good, and one foot is comfortable, but even in wides, my toe got pinched.

Not as wide as they used to be. Need to go down half a size and order the wide fitting.

I've purchased Hokas exclusively for about 10 years, including various Cliftons and Arahis. Last winter, I purchased a pair of Mach 6. These were easily the most comfortable sneaker I've worn. I recently purchased a replacement pair of Mach 6, expecting the same level of comfort. Unfortunately the new pair are much stiffer and not particularly comfortable. They feel more like an Arahi 7, which I found to be completely uncomfortable. In the future I'll try a pair of Clifton 10's, or perhaps a different brand?

A year after my first Mach 6 and now on my second Mach 6, I have some updates. I run outside on flat road, occasional sand on top (road near beach) with this shoe. I overpronate. I like this shoe but REALLY miss the previous Mach for its shape, sizing, and material. Material: Mach is still my shoe of choice and I just repurchased it, but the durability ended up being disappointing, especially compared to previous Machs. The bottom foam part wore down quickly and severely: the foam literally wore off on the inner sides (my fault as my feet collide when I run, but this is the first shoe for me where the foam wore down because of it), and it lost its "bounce"/response at maybe ~1/3 (maybe even fewer) of the miles I've done on previous shoes (and WAY more quickly than did the Mach 4, which is the longest I've ever been able to use a shoe it lasted forever). Sizing: Also, the sizing is totally off (for me) compared to previous Mach because of the toe box, which feels smaller. I just got a new pair and sized up .5 from my usual Hoka size (including a few other models of Hoka I've run with) and it has made a HUGE difference (major toenail damage last summer and immediately again this summer with my usual size :'(). Would definitely recommend sizing up (even beyond your normal running shoe size).
