My first pair of Mach 6 (and legacy Mach 5) were amazing. I run nearly every day from 2 milers to 50Ks and have loved the Mach 6. I gave this a 3 because I know the shoe is great but my recent purchase was a bad shoe. The tongue is broken (it's ripped) and I've only put 10 miles on the shoe so I'm disappointed.

Before purchasing online (aware of the great return policy) I read the reviews. That being said I was expecting the Mach 6 to be totally different than the Mach 5 (which I purchased 4 pairs and love) Most reviews were about the shoe sizing and toe box being smaller than the 5s. I'd agree with this. I have a wide foot so I typically order half size up and the wide option, going up half a size only made this shoe fit just a little too snug. Not too tight, but not cramping my foot. I went on a 5k run right away: too tight about the mid foot, extra grippy (new rubber layer on bottom of shoe), there seems to be more material in the heel area for cushion too. Second run 10k: I loosened my laces, and the shoe felt better. Bouncy, lighter, and feels more like the race day shoe I was looking for. All in all it's not a Mach 5. I don't have any major complaints because I understand there would be some changes. will keep these. Fly on

If you have been running for the last few years in Mach 5's, be aware that the Mach 6 is a very different shoe. It is significantly "bouncier" and the rocking feature has been exaggerated further over that of the Mach 5. They are are still great shoes, but I definitely recommend running in them before making your purchase (I just did a quick slip on for sizing). I am sure I would have tried some of the other neutral road running shoes before buying these,

I didn't buy this shoe for running. Instead I bought it for casual wear and I love it. The new foam feels much better compared to the V5. It looks and feels cushioned and bouncy without having a huge stack underfoot.

Extremely disappointed with the Mach 6. The toe box is way too narrow. I've been running in the Mach 5's for a while (have purchased 4 pairs of the Mach 5's). But the Mach 6 is noticeably more narrow. Why are the shoes not shaped for human feet?

These shoes are amazing, great for running, out of all the running shoes I've used in my time these shoes are phenomenal, super comfortable and you feel no shock of the impact when your feet hit the ground

I mostly use this shoe for speed work and tempo runs. I was surprised reading any negative reviews about this shoe... it feels very very similar to the Mach 5. The only difference I was able to notice is it feels like they're built more durable to last a little longer than the Mach 5's did. I have the same size for the Mach 5 & Mach 6 and they both fit the same (straight out the box - I did not have to break them in for them to fit my foot). I love this shoe and hope others have the same experience as me. Only negative I can think of is there aren't more colors options for the wide variation.

Fits me absolutely perfect. Right amount of cushion and responsiveness for anything I do. Tongue stays put which is rare for me. Actually bought another pair of them. I dont post reviews often but I love these.

The center ridge of the sole on the shoe, causes the rubber to rub together strangely and causes a squeaking noise in the shoes when walking/running.

I have purchased OC's Nike's Brook's Asics and then I bought the Mach 6'a from HOKA. There isn't even a close 2nd place by another manufacturer!!! I have since also purchased the Clifton 9's and I cannot believe the comfort level!!! I walk 10 miles daily and the HOKA's allow me to do such with extreme comfort!!! It's the only shoe I will purchase over and over and over!!!

Moving from the Mach 5, this version is WAY more durable, bouncy, and cushioned. I did order 1/2 size up from my normal Men's 11. These are NOT true to size. Hoka, you need to standardize your sizing. Sizing aside, these may be the best uptempo non-plated daily trainers. They're a little firm for regular walkign around, but can be used for that if need be. Best use is daily training and tempo runs.

I mailed my shoes back almost 2 weeks ago to be exchanged and you still haven't sent me the larger size. I had the Mach 5's and a size13 fit perfectly the Mock 6 size 13 is too snug so there is definitely inconsistencies with your sizing. Exchange policy is terrible I wish I would've just gotten refunded and ordered another pair instead of waiting the 3-4 weeks it takes to get my exchange.

Wear the Mach 6 shoes for training at the gym, including four different elliptical workouts, stair-climb machine, and running on a treadmill. These shoes are remarkably stable; the uppers hold the foot lightly, just enough so the shoes don't move laterally at all during cardio training.

I am on my second pair of Hoka and unfrotuantely the durability and value seems to be diminishing for me. I have been using shoe about 2-3 times in a week and I already feel the shoe tough falling apart. Most of the printed details on the shoe have also faded (mostly due to be worn on long pants/jeans) but I have not seen these to be case with other brands. Shoe is comfortable but if you are looking for durability and vaule look elsewhere.

I was a shameless devotee to the Mach 5s for the past couple of years, and have logged thousands of miles across 7 pairs. With my last pair due for retirement, I decided to give the newer model a shot. I truly wanted to like these, and appreciate some of the improvements, but I had to send them back. The fit is not the same; I find my heel slipping in these, and to combat this, I have to tighten them down to the point that my feet go numb. They don't feel as light and snappy, and I feel like I'm fighting against them to keep my pace where I normally am at. It feels more like running in sand as opposed to foam springs. I can go about 5 miles in them before I start getting hip pain, which I've never experienced in the 5's. The sole is narrower, which hasn't caused me any issues yet, but as a frequent ankle-roller, I appreciated the wider platform to go with the stack height on the 5's. I appreciate the added rubber to the soles for durability purposes, but I'd gladly trade it back for my old stalwarts. I'll keep my hopes up if/when the 7's come out, but for now, I'm off to find a different pair of shoes.

I have numerous pairs of the Mach 5, which is an extremely comfortable, if rather slow, trainer, with a nice wide platform and a reasonable stack height. The Mach 6 is absolutely AWFUL. Hoka has narrowed the toebox considerably to the point that it is incredibly painful for my normal width feet. And the cushioning is just weird. It's too thick and bouncy and it's all focused on the inside midfoot, to the point that works like a medial post. I would not call this a neutral running shoe. Hoka asks, "what is this shoe best for?" My answer: the trashcan.
