I'm a woman but I purchased these in men's because they don't make pink in women's wide and I know a men's regular is equivalent to women's wide. I wear size 11 women and can wear size 10 or 9.5 in men's, depending on the model. These seem to work well in size 10 for me as they run small. The width is perfect. I think these shoes could be good for everyday training and racing. They allow good ground contact without causing toe pain from my left great toe hallux rigidus. I was concerned they wouldn't be stable enough due to other comments but I find them to be quite stable. I count this shoe as a win!

First the shoe is great! I use them for my everyday trainer. Just be aware that the Mach 6 is different then the Mach 5. They have fixed many things in my opinion to make this a much better shoe then the Mach 5. They fixed the "sloppy" toe box (in my opinion). The toe box is now narrower and fits much like many other running shoes I've had in the past. The stitching is different which also makes the shoe feel "smaller" in size. My Mach 5 (and every other shoe I've worn for 20 years have been a good fit at size 10.5us. The Mach 6 is very different. My toes are cramped at the end of the shoe so I had to send back and reorder a size 11us. I have not received them yet but will update to let everyone know how these new ones fit. I am guessing though that the extra half size will be perfect. So in my opinion if you liked the Mach 5 you will Love the Mach 6 if you order up half a size.

I cannot tell you how many Hoka's I own. When I heard that my favorite Mach 5's were being discontinued, I was super upset. So I went and bought as many of them as I could before they were completely gone. Then I decided to try the Mach 6's. I just purchased my 3rd pair. Love them as much as the 5's. Thanks, HOKA!

I was suffering from plantar fasciitis, as well as Achilles tendinitis over the years and when it flares up was unable to run. I read about this model of Hoka and it did everything. It said it would between the stability of the yield and the extra cushioning I need. Now I'm back to running. I'm glad my pain has Subsided.

Hoka, in general, tend to work well for those with medium to high arches. People tend to love or hate Hoka (not much in the middle) so you should go to a store and try them on before purchasing to see if they work for you.
When selecting a running shoe, you can go with more cushion, which is easier on the joints or you can go with a firmer shoe, which will "bounce" off the ground and make it easier to run faster and farther since you don't "sink" into the shoe cushion each step (imagine running in sand). In the Hoka world, the Bondi 9 is the highly cushioned shoe and the Mach X2 (which has a carbon plate) is the firmer shoe. The Mach 6 (which does not have a carbon plate) sits between the two and gives you some cushion while also being reactive to the ground.
Overall, it's a great shoe. I set a PR in a race last weekend and my ankles and knees felt great.

I have alway bought Nike shoes but after an Achilles injury last year I wanted to try something different. I read that these were good for Achilles tendinitis and plantar fasciitis so I wanted to give them a shot. While I still have felt some pain, I think that is a me problem. These shoes are so darn soft and responsive and I wish I got some before my injury. I've never walked in something this cushioned. I ordered a half size up.

Best running shoe I’ve ever worn
I finally found the perfect combination of lightweight and cushion.
This shoes checks all the boxes.
I’ve been a lifelong Nike customer as they fit my foot the best….until I tried these. Wish Hoka had a navy blue in the style of this one in black. Many of Hoka’s designs are a bit too much.

I am 57 years old, 160 lbs, and wear Machs exclusively for running approximately 25 miles per week. I've cycled through 4 pair of Mach 4's and 4 pair of Mach 5's prior to buying a pair of Mach 6's. The 4's and 5's were very similar shoes with barely any recognizable differences between the two versions. The 6's are a completely different shoe, they fit differently (more narrow) and run differently. So because you liked prior versions doesn't mean that you will like these. Jury is still out on whether I will remain a Mach user or switch to something different. This form forced me to choose Yes/No whether I would recommend or not, the real answer is I'm not sure.

I've never had a shoe where the tongue is completely flat with no padding. I've owned at least four or five pairs in the past and all of them had a "normal" amount of padding. I assume this is a cost cutting measure. I would not recommend these to anyone.

Shoe tongue attached to shoe by elastic which made it too tight. Returned.

I own 3 different HOKA 11.5 medium width. This shoe was so narrow I could barely get my foot in. Definitely not the model for me

I'm very pleasantly surprised how light these shoes are while still providing great cushion. Also that they provide so much energy return. It seems most shoes that feel that comfortable with cushioning just absorb energy. These are springy and light. I have 7 pairs of shoes I rotate between. These will be my favorite for faster VO2 Max and Threshold runs even though they are comfortable enough for any runs. I run about 30 miles per week and these will get used often. I will definitely be buying these again.
