I'm disappointed that a wide version is not offered.

I live in the Pacific Northwest (lots of rain) and walk 3-6 miles daily with my dog on paved and unpaved surfaces. Comfortable waterproof shoes are a must. When I saw these came in waterproof I knew I needed to try them. Overall, I'm pretty impressed. I think the waterproof is more of a "water resistant" but that's not unusual - I have yet to find a truly waterproof sneaker. They are incredibly comfortable, my feet feel "energized" in these and some knee pain I had been dealing with pretty much resolved completely after switching to the Hoka transport. The upper material is a gore tex cordura nylon which is lightweight but a bit stiff, and though not completely waterproof, they are water resistant and along with wool socks my feet stay pretty dry. The material is also really easy to clean (mud basically wipes off) so that is a plus (my previous waterproof sneakers were a knit material which was fairly waterproof but required more thorough cleaning). I will say these probably won't work for wider feet - my feet are pretty narrow and these feel a little snug in the toe box. Overall though I'm happy with them: Rating 5 for comfort, 5 for style and 3.5 for waterproof - 4.5 rounded up to 5.

I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, and I have found that the hoka product provides me with enough comfort, that I do not suffer by the end of the day.

I have problem feet, big time: My feet are very sensitive, and tough to fit due to past injuries and poor healing. I have arthritis, I like to run on wet turf. I walk my dogs every morning, often in the rain. As a result, It is very tough for me to find a shoe that meets my needs. I ordered the Transport GTX hoping the GTX would keep my feet dry and that the shoe would fit relatively well. These are remarkable and surpassed my expectations by a landslide! I've been wearing them for everything - dog walks, wet runs, shopping, even casual going out. They look great - not bulky or clunky. The fast lace technology is very easy and actually works to hug my arch and give my forefoot lots of room. I love them so much I ordered two more pairs in different colors.

Fantastic shoe! So glad Hoka is making wide options. I wear a size 9 in a regular width shoe but since Hoka runs narrow I opted for the wide fit. So glad I did because they fit perfectly. When I travel to Europe, I can wear them every day and never worry if it rains. They are so comfortable! No need to put orthotics in either; the arch support is fantastic. Thanks for carrying these Zappos!

I ordered up a half size per reviews. Shoe was still a little loose with a very thick thorlo walking sock. Way too big with regular socks. Cushion was very nice in shoe and nice toe box though it is lower than On Cloud 5 and Altra. It rubbed small big toe bunion. Very stable shoe.

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for - a comfortable walking shoe that I could wear for walks at home and use for my primary walking shoe on trip to Scotland & Ireland this summer. I have to say, I already have 1 pair of the Hoka Transports (not GORE-TEX). I love them and hope the GORE-TEX version would be as wonderful. They are. NO breaking in required. Nice cushion but not the super thick soles that are so popular. They’ll go nicely with jeans or slacks as we travel. They’ll have a more “polished” look than regular athletic shoes. I ordered 1/2 size up and my regular size because so many review said the GOR-TEX version ran smaller and/or tighter. I’ve experienced that with other brands so it sounded likely. Not true for me. I have a 10.5 in regular Transort & the 10.5 in the GOR-TEX is perfect. Not at all smaller or tighter - in fact, I’d say the toe box area is actually a little bit bigger! Go figure. One thing I really love about the Transports - they are a bit on the narrow side and I have a foot that is a bit on the narrow side so I love, love, love them. Most shoes I buy in size 10.5 or 11 are way way to wide. Anyway, I think Hoka hit it out of the park with this one.

These are my go-to now and I have a pair for at home and the GTX one for wearing out and about. They give my feet such good support it is amazing, and I also appreciate the easy on and off. They don't crowd my toes and they also neutralize my metatarsalgia which is amazing. Honestly at this point in my life (60s) they are more comfortable than bare feet, precisely because of the support. If you are older with feet that start hurting about a half mile into a walk, you owe it to yourself to try these!

I really wanted these shoes to fit and was excited to have a water resistant shoe to walk my dog. I normally wear a 9W in HOKA (I have 2 other pairs), but these were way too snug. They pinched my feet the minute I put them on--couldn't even stand up. Other reviewers said these ran narrow, but I was hoping that by ordering a wide they would fit--NOT!!! I am super disappointed though I must say the return process was super easy and I have now ordered a different style that hopefully works.

Did not realize these would have firm material extending over the top of the top. I love Hokas but apparently need the softer mesh uppers.

I'm a Hoka fan. They have always worked very well for me and this shoe is no exception. I'm always looking for a comfortable sole that offers good support & is anti-slip, and this fits the profile. It's a quality shoe in every respect.

I have a small wide foot. I normally wear a 5 1/2 wide, I also have a bunion on my right foot so a wide is critical to my comfort. I wanted a waterproof walking shoe for a trip to Europe. I had a very hard time finding this in wide. I came across the Hoka Transport that came in wide. The Zappos site recommended sizing up 1/2 size so I did and went with a size 6. I am very please to report that they fit nicely. I have worn the Hoka Bondi and love them but they don’t have the waterproof version in wides. The transports do not have as much cushion as the Bondis but they still feel really good on my feet.

Definitely for a more narrow foot and aren't the typical "walking on air" feeling of usual Hoka shoes but these are absolutely perfect for healthcare work-comfortable and splash resistant!

These really are waterproofjust came in from a 20 minute walk in the wet grass and pouring rain and my feet are totally dry. Shoes fit snugly true to size. Hoka usually fit me a bit larger, but these work for me. They're comfortable and supportive. They're not a cushiony feel with the goretex, but they serve my needs really well for daily dog walks in the wet grassand sometimes rain.

I bought these shoes for travel to Europe during raining season along the Finland and Norway Coasts. I was going to be doing a lot of walking and weather forecast showed possible rain almost every day... but thankfully we had minimal rain on our outings; but when it did rain these shoes were fabulous! They did their job and my feet stayed dried and comfortable! My heel is on the narrow side and my toe box is borderline b/c width. I have several pairs of Hoka tennis shoes but this was the first time I had bought the Transport GTX. I was skeptical of what the material would be and how they would look when I ordered them. To my surprise they look like normal tennis shoes, but yet they were waterproof! The water just beaded up and my feet were dry! No Scotchguard or spray is needed! And while the fabric is a bit different, it is very resilient and I loved that my shoes stayed clean and looked nice my entire three-week trip. Honestly, they still look new! I can easily walk 8-11 miles a day when traveling and exploring, so I wanted the "Hoka" comfort... I got it! I bought these last minute mail order without testing or wearing them and left for my trip a few days later. There is no breaking-in needed... they were comfortable from day one and off I went. My feet never hurt and the fabric did not make my feet sweat or be hot either. I will say the bottoms are a smoother texture and I would not say these would be the best for hiking, I like the sole more rugged for hiking, but they worked perfect for me walking and exploring the city! I wish I had found them for previous travels. Being waterproof is really nice; you never know when it is going to rain and to have this protection AND comfort at the same time is fabulous without taking extra shoes. I usually do take 2 pair of tennis shoes, just for change of pace and color, but I highly recommend the Hoka Transport GTX! They will for sure be in my suitcase when I travel to my next destination.

I took two pairs of these on a tour of Iceland where weather can change from sunny to rain in the same day. Recommendation was to have waterproof shoes. Fortunately I didn't have any downpours to deal with but they were comfortable for all of the walking I did. I will use them in the winter when it's wet and not a lot of snow. I tried these in a shoe store before ordering online and I was told to size up a half size.

I loved the look of them for an everyday shoe. I normally wear the Bondi line and wear a wide. Even in a size Wide, these were way too narrow.

I originally bought an 8.5 but went up to a 9 because the toe area felt a little cramped width-wise. I've only worn them a few times, but they're incredibly comfortable. Where I struggle is the laces. Why provide traditional laces when the only way to get the quick toggle ones off are to cut them. This seems like a huge, confusing miss.

I have a couple of pairs of HOKAs in different styles. These fit similarly. I intend to use them as a shoe for a trip that will involve some light hiking as well as living in an urban area during wet and humid weather. So, the GORE-TEX was an important feature, and decent traction was also important. I wish the tread on the bottom was "stickier" and deeper-- like the non-GORE-TEX version of the Transport, but all in all, it should be fine for light hiking and slippery subway floors. Regarding color, these are a plain light gray. I find gray travels well-- less likely to show dust and dirt than black or white.

These were not as supportive as I hoped, I was planning to use them on rough cobblestone streets and gravel/rocky trails and they just didnt have the stability I personally needed. Great looking shoe though if you dont need those features, a super cross between a athletic shoe and a hiking shoe. I'll try another model instead.
