I have found that Hokas are the only brand that keep my feet and legs from getting sore and worn out when I'm running back and forth for hours at work. The grip also keeps me safe when I hit a wet area on the restaurant's kitchen floor. Added to that is how cool it is to have customers tell me they love my shoes and want to get a pair too!

I love these shoes. I have gotten them wet while wearing them amd had no discomfort or wetness. Stuff doesn't get stuck under ypur feet either. I am thinking about getting a second comor. I have wide feet and they fit great. OVE

Amazing. I, who suffers greatly with nerve issues in my feet and mid foot arthritis, wore these right out of the box all day long as I worked in my yard & 2 gardens. They are completely closed in (with the exception of a little area behind your heel) and I didn't have any pebbles or dirt getting into the shoes, and no little twigs poking through stabbing my toes. .
I ordered my usual Hoka sneaker size, which is a 9.5 wide. I would say comparing to a Hoka wide sneaker these are true size. Very very comfortable and nice looking. Love that they do NOT have the typical sandal slits on the sides of the shoe where sand & beach pebbles say again what is it hun get in. That's not a comfortable feel.

I love this show. Not too hot with the mesh but covers the foot if a little cool. I love the cross between a shoe and a sandle. I use for a lot of things but also as my golf shoe. I walk a nine hole course a couple times a week.

Love this hiking shoe for Europe travel. I ordered size 6 but tight for toe space. So returned and got the 6.5 and wide enough for my toe space. Also wore a thin merino wool socks. Kept my feet comfortable on the plane ride and walking all day. Have not washed it. Plan on buying 2nd pair . Great shoes climbing stairs and lightweight.

I bought the light color because it will go with anything! I like that its sheerness makes it nice and cool for a tennis shoe sandle! Great water shoe, very sturdy and comfy! I may need to buy a dark pair too as I think this is my favorite summer sporty shoe! I don't need to wear my orthotics with them or socks.

I'm new to Hoka, and this is my second pair I've purchased. Having had multiple foot and ankle surgeries on both feet, I'm quite particular. These are wonderful. Extremely supportive, cushy insole, and excellent sole - no slipping at all. There was no "breaking in" necessary at all. Love it !

Not what I was expecting. They are comfortable right out of the box with no 'breaking in' period! I was a little worried about the strap hurting on the back of my ankle as some had mentioned that on a former model, but these did not rub my ankle at all. It's great because there's mesh on the side as water/mud/dirt can go straight through and can be washed right out. We do a lot of waterfall hiking so the quick drying is a plus, the nonslip bottoms are nice too. Definitely comfortable for everyday wear but using mine for only hiking as I have several Hoka shoes for everyday wear. Will definitely be getting a spare pair!

I had bunion surgery 5 years ago. I still need great support and wide toe base without being a wide shoe. These have hit the mark like none other for me. I also recently had a total knee replacement on the same leg. They have corrected the bunion issue (crowding gone) & perfect for summer. Easy on and off. I'm thrilled!

Use these shoes for work. On my feet for at least 8 hrs everyday & they don't hurt. Bought my usual size 7. Although I wish it was easy to slip into them.

Bought these shoes for Sister. She has been wearing Hoka shoes for years but was not aware of Hopara 2. She now has a pair that she can walk securely and comfortably in water along the beach or step into a stream along hiking trails.. She also loves the color with feminine purple touch.

I have a severely torn achilles tendon that has made wearing shoes a terrible experience.... until now! A shoe and sandal in one - brilliant! Now all I need is the other colors!

I was surprised that these fit and I don't think they will give me blisters even though I am quite prone to them, they are soft in the right places and don't rub at the heel. I REALLY wish there was mesh on the heel, little rocks and stones will get in, which drives me nuts.

I have wide feet, these fit perfect. Great for walking & the gym and the beach. I wear with socks and they are just like regular sneakers. Wear without socks and they are like sandals. Super comfortable and cute- love them!

I bought these because I like my Hoka recovery sandals and running shoes. I was looking for a better shoe to wear for a canoeing and camping trip in the BWCA. There are all conditions - gravel, rocks, grass and water. I wore them on a test hike and these shoes exceeded my expectations! They were comfy while walking and gave me good stability when walking over wet,slippery rocks. I took the advice from other reviews and bought a half size smaller than my running shoes. This was good advice as my foot fits like Cinderella's in the glass slipper. I did get a blister but didn't even notice for several hours after I got home.

I loved Hoka Hopara 2, super comfortable! However, despite the fact that I had ordered half a size smaller, they were still too large and wide for me. I am sad that I have to return them.
I'd also recommend:
Palladium, Columbia, Teva, and some Sorel (not all)
