These shoes are exactly what I was wanting…A closed-toe sandal that is breathable and can be worn to hike in. Very lightweight, but durable with great cushion, sticky traction, and extreme breathability. Very cute too! The toe box is wide, which I appreciate…gives my toes room to wiggle and breathe. Be advised that they do run slightly big. I wear an 8-8.5 in all other Hokas. The 7.5 in these fits perfect.

The surprise to me was the stable and supportive foot bed. Feels similar to my Hoka Clifton's. Apart from the sole, I appreciate that this wears like a shoe. It is not a sloppy fit. My thought is the upper is a nice upgrade from the previous years Hopara. The upper is comprised of a fine mesh fabric. Has adjustability in the heel strap, and an appreciated heel loop to grab if needed.
Had ACL, MCL and meniscus injury to my knee - no issues found after walking all day at work in these shoes.
Would I recommend this shoe? Absolutely - and if they come out with other colors (suggestion denim blue!) I would buy another pair.

I suffer with plantar fasciitis and at times when am on my feet for several hours I am in a lot of pain the rest of the day. Since I began wearing these Hopara's my feet have stopped hurting at all.

I love the Hopara 2! I wear these when I'm out in the yard and will wear in the garden when season starts. They are very comfortable, the new mesh keeping rocks out was a great design. I bought my Mom the original Hopara and "collecting" pebbles and dirt through the cutouts was her only complaint, so I'll probably be getting her a pair of the Hopara 2.

these are amazing. I have never found a more comfortable outdoor shoe that is great for the summer! The feel of the shoe is so freeing for my feet, makes all other shoes feel sad and confining. These give a barefoot feel to closed toe shoes.

The style of the fasteners mean it is very difficult to get my size 8 foot into this size 8 shoe. once I get my foot in the fabric band that goes from the front to the back rubs against my ankle.

I love the Hopara 2. I hate athletic shoes because they are, typically, too confining and too hot. I live in the deep south where heat and humidity are awful. These have great ventilation and can be worn with or without socks.

My last pair of sketchers fell apart within a year of use AND I needed a new pair of water shoes, these fit BOTH bills! I talked to a few people who own this brand and they spoke so highly of them, I decided to give them a shot... I've had these shoes a few weeks now and I absolutely love them! Cool enough when it's warm and warm enough when it's chilly (NE Ohio weather), I absolutely will be joining the people I spoke to before purchasing in saying that I won't be buying any other shoe brand! And let me just say how NICE it is to not have to worry about my wide feet not fitting right! These fit them amazingly well!

Love the feel of these shoes. Like that they have netting on the sides but are sturdy on the toes and bottom.

Just got my Hopara 2 sandals and love LOVE them! The shifting sand color is a very neutral color (no pinkish cast..totally beige and tan.) They have the comfort and fit similar to the Bondi. Excellent support and very adjustable. The heel has an adjustable strap for those who have a narrower heel. The width is very generous. I previously bought the Bondi wide and these are similar in width. They run true to size. The mesh covering on the front of the sandal keeps sand and dirt out of the shoe (the back is open with no mesh). Speed lacing makes it is easy to slip on and off..and provides good adjustment. I really am impressed with these sandals! They look great (a little chunkyyet stylish) and feel great (so far!). I purchased them with no reviews availablesoooo happy I went ahead and ordered! These are a sure sellout!

I was so excited to get the Hopara 2's. I love HOKA's , but they are a bit clunky, heavy & rub a bit on the side of my foot. They are comfortable, but not for long periods of time. I am still debating if I should send them back or not. I really wanted to love them.

I was really excited about this shoe and planned to wear it hiking as well as daily use. The design is great yet the quality of materials used substandard. The mesh was not taut . So much so that it was visibly apparent there was excess. The other material looked and felt like something you might find at Ttarget rather than being of the exceptional quality we have come to expect from HOKA. The sole looked like.HOKA but felt hard like a knock off. I'm very disappointed. I love this brand and check on a weekly basis for new products. Most recently I purchased three pairs of shoes and had to return all of them due to inferior materials used.

The footbed is too hard to be called hopara. The shoe is more breathable butt the footbed is not as comfortable. I could not wear them all day at work. I might as well wear my keen sandals.

I wanted to really like these sandals...as I love the Hoka Arahis I have. Since these were closed sandals I ordered them in size 7, same as what I wear in the Arahi 6 and 7. I found these sandals a really weird fit. While the toe felt scrunched there was too much length in the heel end. I feared if I ordered them smaller they would crunch my toe more, not being offered in a wide. Other wise I felt they gave decent support for my overpronating and flat feet. I could even wear my orthopedic insole if I wanted to without them slipping out as they do with open sandals. I ordered the cream/cedar color with they thought they go with all colors of shorts......not sure if it was the size as in too long but I opened these up thinking "these are some ugly shoes".......i do think they might have looked better in a smaller size and that look wouldn't have phased me if they were comfortable on my feet. I use to wear Keens but got tired of their hard foot beds, plus they started making them a bit more narrow and I like a wide toe box.

I love the previous style of the Hopara sandals. Although the new style is more attractive is is no where near as comfortable. The straps do not hit the same place as previously and bother my bunion. The support is also not as good. Please, Hoka, go back to the previous style.

I ordered the same size I usually order from Hoka. I could get my entire hand in the shoe with my foot. They were so large. The length was perfect however, the width was unbelievably wide. Will not order those again.

I did not like the Hopara shoes. They were extremely big and bulky and very uncomfortable. I returned them immediately.

At first these shoes were nice, I owned two pairs of the original Hopara prior and loved them. I was excited to try these new ones. However, these shoes quite literally fell apart in 3 months. I do use them daily for work. The original two pairs I had held up for over a year each so I am very dissapointed with the Hopara 2. I love Hoka and most of their products but these need a lot of work.

I just love them. That's all. The the feedback. I hiked in these as soon as I got them and loved the support, the fit, all of it. Ordered my usual size plus the socks (DEF get the socks too). The right shoes really do make a difference. Can't wait to get another pair!

I was looking for something to wear as a house shoe with no socks as orthopedic doctor wasn't happy I wore a running shoe all the time with little air circulation. Not comfortable without socks. This looks like a good shoe for outdoor use, but was too big without custom orthotics and too tight with orthotics inserted.
