Been using this pant mainly for trad and sport climbing. Super comfortable.

I'm 6'2" 185 pounds and the 34R fit perfectly. I normally take a longer inseam but with boots the length is perfect. While not waterproof, the DWR has been excellent with drizzly weather and light rain while on a walk. Very comfortable too. My only gripe is that the zipper pulls are incredibly small - it's a challenge to grip them with bare hands and impossible with any kind of glove on. I had to add some pull tabs to make them useful. I think they used to come with tabs, if they stopped they should really go back to adding them. I can't comment on longevity yet, but so far I'd recommend.

Purchased these pants in the Short inseam. Im 6' and the length is perfect. The pants are really nice quality and have decent wind and water resistance. The belt is a lot nicer than I thought it would be and it definitely feels very solid. The cut of the pants feel pretty fitted but not restrictive in any way. No real complaints about these pants

Purchased for a Mt Rainier summit in May and will most definitely wear these pants for the climb. They performed well in light rain/sleet in a western PA early spring training hike. Really like the fit and water repellence of these pants. The built-in belt stays in place, and I love the knee pocket.

Super stoked on these pants. They are light & comfortable but at first glance don't appear very abrasion resistant. So I put them through a few dozen pitches of crack climbing, off-width jamming & many cheese-grating whips project climbing. Despite tearing a hole in the skin of my knee, the pants aren't even scuffed. Pocket placement is perfect for use with a harness. Zippers are appreciated. Honestly my favorite new piece of gear!

My wife said these looked good on me when I tried them on. I bought them and now they are one of my favourite pants. The fit me really well, they have nice pockets, and I can move in them easily. Only downside(maybe not a downside) is that they are not very warm. I was a bit cold when it was -15c.

Can these be worn as an outer layer over jeans or something on a really cold day?

Bought these for my partner. He loves the colour (Yukon) and how the Gamma are a little roomier than the Sigma. Fit true to size.

Bought the gamma pants to wear as active wear but they have since become my everyday pant. Super comfortable and good functionality! Will be constantly adding to my collection

I bought these used to give them a try before buying them at full price. They are worth the full price! You know when you find a pant that just works, you end up wearing them for everything? These are that pant for me. Daily wear, day hikes and multiday treks in spring, summer, fall and PNW low elevation winter trips are all in the wheelhouse of this pant. (I use the Gamma AR for winter trips for the increased warmth and fabric thickness). The fit and length is perfect, with enough stretch in the fabric that kicking steps into snow is no problem, or crawling over wind blown trees causes no restriction. The zipper fly is an appropriate length (unlike some of the lightweight Arc'Teryx hiking pants). All I need now are a few more colour options and one rear hip pocket... Even still, I highly recommend them!

Just purchased these, have had previous Arcteryx pants, which were great, but the fit just wasn't quite right. These fit perfect (6', 165lbs, size 30 regular length is perfect) for cooler days rock climbing, not so snug that I can't move freely, and not so baggy or long that I'm tripping over excess material. Haven't tried this yet, but expect these will work as a light layer for warmer ice climbing days, or on the approach with a harsdshell layer over for colder temps. Overall great product and would highly recommend.

These are the best size small fitting pants I've ever owned. They are great for everything from the office to the crag. This is the best integrated belt I've ever tested. The fabric is breathable but warmer so I would opt for something thinner in hotter temps. 6ft, 130lbs - these fit performance loose. Minimal base layer or regular underwear both layer excellently. I now want every Gamma model. Arc makes the best size small pants for my body shape out of all of the brands I've tested. The lack of a rear pocket is great for sitting on hard objects or doing core workouts.. The thigh pocket is great when wearing a harness. Highly recommend.

The new revised Gamma pants are a huge improvement over previous versions. The fit is far better and the belt with the hook is less chunky than the buckle on the older ones. The durability of these is amazing. I cool weather rock climb and ice climb in these and have never had even a scuff. I also use them for my primary hunting pant. Walking through thick bush, getting caught on sticks and branches, crawling over fallen trees. These things are indestructible.

I just got my pair and have been on my first hike in them! They fit very comfortable and light weight. The g hook integrated belt system is very easy to use. The legs are sewed very well to wear over boots. They even have the ability to tighten up over the boot in case you don't want your pants getting too dirty on the muddy walks here in Denmark.

The Gamma Pant has quickly become one of my favorite outdoor pants (I have 3 different colors of this particular style). The fit is excellent, providing just enough bagginess through the legs for a relaxed style while not feeling excessive for hiking in. I like the side zipper pockets and integrated belt system

I have bought the pant after hearing a lot about it. Can't recommend enough - very well built and high quality materials. Good fit without being restrictive. Be careful while buying since the SHORT is not really short. I'm an athletic 5,9 individual with longer legs than normal and the 30/SHORT is fitting perfectly. The sizing is a little off in terms of pant length.

Perfect material but the shape/fit of the pants is not great. I really dislike pants that are baggy in the calves and these are. Plus they have glue on the stitching at the bottom so I can't have them altered to fit better. Could Arc' please spot using glue on the bottom seems or make the pants more tapered fit please. And the pockets should be deeper and the belt buckle redesigned slightly because it undoes itself a lot when I climb.

These are very similar to the old Gamma LT pant. I believe it says that on the product page. I have Medium-tall Gamma LT pants and ordered the 34-long Gamma pants. I found there were about an inch longer and did not have as much taper as the medium-tall Gamma LTs but fit similarly in the waist. I also found these fit somewhat looser. This made the new Gamma pants not fit for my purposes (mountain biking and commuting) but I have to say the Gamma LT are my favourite pants so I was disappointed these revised pants could not fit the same use.

Great lightweight softshell for the mountains. Fit is a little too long and tighter than I prefer.

The new gamma size 30 is more tapered and not as baggy as my older gamma LT size S. Loving them as e everyday pants thru the year whether hiking, skiing or casual wear. - for all the laminated parts, thats where the pants always fail.
