Shoe ran narrow in the top and toe box.

The toe box is not as tall as the v7 was and hurts my big toe - returned them.

We have been happy with many, many pairs of New Balance shoes but the quality on this pair is terrible! They were for a 14 year old boy who only walked and biked in them. Yet they were falling apart in less than 6 weeks!

Shoe fits and is comfortable. The green color is kind of more gray like someone else said - and in a good way. The traction is good and this is my new daily walking shoe.

Straight out of the box, some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I ended up wearing them without my orthotics and didn’t experience any foot pain. The only negative is they wore quickly.

These are bigger and more simple than v9. Less foam cradling the heel. Much more minimal outsole with small shallow evenly spaced knobs. You can feel the trail under your feet and these will wear if you use for everyday. Very minimal old school tongue (think Puma 1979). Not as stretchy upper. Not as prominent toe-guard. These fit me much better than v9. The heel is a bit sloppier. You really have to use the laces and make it fit right, unlike these more lycra uppers. At first I did not like the fit. My foot was sliding forward and socks bunching up. Then I used the farther back lace holes and tightened quite a bit midfoot. That was making my calves feel it, so then backed off a smidge and now its one of my most comfortable shoes. Worn as always with d1rty girl gaiters and SF blue arch support at Steens, Dipsea, Claremont Canyon and daily.

Great fit, love the hard sole! Don’t have to be hiking to enjoy these. Love the mustard yellow color, even in size 16!

Very soft cushion. At first I thought it was too soft and I would hate them, but after a few days getting used to these the cushion almost feels like I have a suspension system under my feet. The green is more gray than green, which I like. The gray ones are more of a blue and didn’t look great in person so I returned them They lost a star because the younger is uncomfortable and doesn’t have a tab to connect it to the laces. You have to readjust it every time you put them on

Just like a lot of reviews on new balance the 4e is too narrow. I’ve bought many new balance 4e in the past and they were perfect. I bought some hoka trail running shoes and their 4e is nice and wide at toe box!!! JuBe specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Tongue moves around. Slightly uncomfortable. Going back to ankle high Hierro hiker/running shoe

Made my feet itch. I can no longer wear most modern footwear. There is something being added to the materials that makes my feet unbearably itchy.

These shoes are horrendously ugly. I've owned all 8 versions of the Hierro but these are the first to go back. Hopefully they're thrown into a volcano instead of being resold.
