I wear my 860v14’s primarily for walking and for casual wear. They come in a nice variety of colors and I find the shoes to be attractive, well made, and very comfortable. The soles are fairly squishy as they are on a number of shoe offerings from NB (e.g. the MORE model) and other companies these days. They have a completely different, softer feel compared to classic NB models like 990’s, 991’s, 992’s, 993’s, and 920’s as well as older versions of 860’s. I normally wear a size 14 D in each of these 9xx shoes. I first ordered a pair of 860v14’s in 14 D and they were too tight in the toe box and across the top of my foot. 14 2E’s fit much better but were still slightly tight in width but plenty comfortable to wear. 14 4E’s fit the best without being too loose. The length was spot on in all the widths tried. I like the v14’s and wear them often. I am 74 and have had knee and hip replacements so my running days are a distant memory. Therefore, I cannot comment on how they perform as a running shoe. However, I suspect that the softness of the soles would make them less desirable for running than several other NB models. Overall, I am very happy with my 860v14’s (6 pairs to date) and highly recommend them for the purposes cited above.

Too spongy of a heel, with little to no side to side support. Feels like a platform shoe.

These shoes were perfect. I wear an 11 wide and they worked perfectly!

8.5 fit perfectly, but I normally wear an 8. 4E width was spot on. These are extremely comfortable shoes, barely needed to break them in. Support is great, and helps my feet stay steady. The foam sole is very comfortable and unlike other brands I've tried, they are not mushy, because of that, they support and steady my feet. I wear them to walk 5 to 6 miles a day and appreciate this shoe with every step.

Very comfortable sneaker with adequate padding.Wear a 10-B and fit was perfect. I will probably Buy a second pair in another color.

Horrible shoes. Way too soft and no real support. They hurt my feet when I tried running in them. They are so bad that I bought 4 pairs of the previous V13 to have when a pair get worn out. These are just terrible shoes.

I first ordered EE (wide) because it seems running shoes in general have been running narrower. However, the 860V14 ran wider than expected. I now have them in "D" (normal) and they fit great, especially the toe splay. There's a bit of a rocker effect and you get a firm but not too firm bounce when doing walking as exercise. There is moderate stability, a good lock down, and are easy to lace. A bit higher platform than expected though. You will like these better than the Hoka Arahi 7, which have a rock hard platform and are narrow in the heel to mid-foot range even in the Wide version.

Sneakers are attractive looking, but very hard on feet as if there is very little cushioning. Also to large. A size 16 should not be 1 1/2 " longer than a size 15.

I wear my 990's to run/workout but I was looking for a white casual looking shoe with the same "fit" as the 990's. So far, this shoe seems to do the trick. I'm really happy with both the "look" and comfort with this shoe. Would recommend using a good after-market arch support

I have wide feet but other new balance shoes of this size have fit me. These were too narrow and felt like there was very little arch support

shoe was too stiff. Left shoe felt like it may have a flaw and was a little big. It hurt my foot. It seemed like a good shoe otherwise. Right shoe ok except for the stiffness.

This particular shoe was recommended by the podiatrist and even going up a size was too small . It runs narrow and has a narrow toe box.

My favorite running shoe! Logged 400 miles running in this shoe over 5 months.

I bought these for my husband. He has a problem finding shoes that come in a narrow size. They actually Fit!!! He hasn’t worn them around yet, but he has bought NB before and they tend to wear well.

I'm replacing a well-worn pair of New Balance 940s. I can see why the 860v14 is such a popular shoe. It felt light and well-balanced. But it's not as comfortable as other New Balance shoes I've had in the past. Specifically, the toe box felt a bit tight both in the height and width, which was surprising as I usually wear a C or D width. The shoe also wasn't as padded on the sole as I like, and I felt that the arch support, while there, wasn't sufficient for my flat feet and significant over-pronation. I ended up returning these and going with the Saucony Guide 18s.

These shoes started out great, but after 5 months of wear for light walking and daily use, the foam on the outside edge of both shoes is totally collapsed and the shoes are no longer wearable.

Perfect blend of support and comfort. My go to shoe for the gym.

Very comfortable shoe, perfect for long walks. Nice balance between being too spongy and too soft. Only wish they had more color schemes. I normally wear 9.5 for New Balance tennis shoes, but needed to go a half size up. Zappos wouldn't honor the coupon I used on them for the exchange, so just returned them and bought elsewhere.

Felt good and provided good support.

I am so very disappointed in New Balance. These shoes are stiff and the fabrication is hard on the skin. I kept feeling paid and unable to flex my foot when walking and finally slipped my hand in under the interior end of the tongue of the shoe ... ridiculous amount of rough material used throughout the shoe was trimmed right there creating abnormal friction and pressure. I cannot recommend these shoes to anybody. Once upon a time I could order walking shoes and actually try them out and still return/refund if they didn't work for me ... that's only common sense ... no longer available and I'm now out a good chunk of money. No more NB for me!

Why did I spend $140 on a pair of shoes made in China? The blue color hooked me now I have the blues. The shoes are too narrow for 4E. Nike used to be my go to shoe, the past 5 years Nike has been the stay away from shoe. I could have bought shoes that fit me for half the price I paid for these. I made a poor choice....
