Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)

Ignore the other reviews! The people complaining they can’t get their feet into the shoe are dumber than a rock. These shoes have an attached tongue which makes them a slip-in shoe with laces you can tie together and the material around the opening is stretchable. I am very happy with these shoes, love the multi colors which was my initial reason for buying them only to then realize the fit and finish is exceptional. On Merrill’s site these are advertised as an everyday sneaker and you feel that when you wear the shoe. It has aggressive tread which makes you think these can be a trail or light hiking shoe, still need to test this scenario but, feels promising when you see it in person. I ordered my regular size for sneakers and the fit was spot on, no issues at all. Overall I give these shoes 5 stars because it deserves it. I am very happy with my purchase and glad I found them at an incredible price point. Ignore the haters and give them a try yourself, Zappos is great about their return policy if it doesn’t work out for you. For me, the experience has been great, I love wearing these shoes and I’m glad I bought them.

Nice shoe. Bought it a few weeks ago. This shoe needs a conventional tongue else it's hard to get on. It blows my mind that somebody thought going without a tongue was a good idea. How many centuries have we been making shoes? Innovate somewhere else.

These shoes are getting a bad rap! They are a laced sneaker which are actually a slip in shoe, so people are complaining that they are too tight and hard to put on. I'll admit, they are a bit tight, but that's the whole idea. When they are on, they are great, and they look so retro!!! I'm a fan.

I liked the original version of this shoe and expected these to be much the same. They have no tongue though. They're slip ons... with laces. The pictures on the site are taken so it definitely looks like it has a tongue. They eventually dig into the top of my foot a bit regardless of lace tightness. Mostly comfortable other than that. Still wouldn't have bought them had I known, and for sure recommend the original version.

The fabric materials are low quality, I only wore them for a week and both shoes broke on the right side I feel literally robbed

As always Merrell met my expectations for comfort and fit. However, I did not like the way the tongue was attached to the shoe. It makes it more difficult to slip on. I have to pull from the back

I like the attached tongue-a little tricky to get on, but then once it's on fits well. I thought I might return for a 1/2 size smaller, but this wasn't available. Tried again and walked around a bit more and I decided the fit is ok--a little extra room in the toes, but seems to mold to my feet after wearing around 1 day.

Just what I was looking for. A solid Dad/Lawnmower shoe to replace my old New Bal's but with better quality/finish. Very happy with these despite the steep price, feels worth it. Definitely a little tight to get on initially since there's no tongue but a "sock" to slip into. Hopefully it will get easier as it breaks in.

Tongue takes a few tires to get used to but then is fine. Dry comfortable shoe. Broke in nicely.

This is a great shoe. It has kept up with my expectations for Merrell products. When I first started wearing them, they were a little tight and difficult to put on. They have since loosened up a little and have improved on both issues. They are comfortable to wear and walk in. I recommend them to anyone who is active and needs a shoe that can provide comfort and durability while on the go.

So here is a real review. These shoes are definitely worth a 100 The design and the new pop step in is great as well. Love the new olive colors great arch support. Same materials as the old design. I think the ppl are ready to pay 150-200 for a more durable design but then again they have shoes for that very reason. These are sneakers and should be treated as such! Love the recraft Merrell keep up the designs if you want to make them a bit more durable we will pay more for that for now I love that there lightweight sneakers and will enjoy them for 2-3 years. Taking care of your sneakers is just basic knowledge if you want them to last! Olive size 11

Very comfortable shoe. I purchased them about 2 months ago for something comfortable, stylish and easy to slip on off for a 2 week trip to Japan. They were absolutely great for that purpose. The tongue is sewn in, which is less traditional for a sneaker, but that also made it very easy for me to slip these on and off. They have held up really good after some extensive walking mileage, but the suede in particular feels cheap and I don't expect them to last as long as I'd like, hence the four star rating.

Very comfortable every-day shoe. I like how the style blends an outdoor hiking look, but can be worn with slacks and a button up for work. Gave it only 4 stars just because the neoprene upper/cuff entry took a bit of getting used to, but it also has some pros over a traditional tongue

Read a few reviews of people saying they ripped after a week and don't fit well and blah blah blah. I find them to fit great, feel great and the old school style reminds me of old British reboks. Granted I've had them for a week now with no problems, I hope they hold up. I've always bought merrels and these don't disappoint.

Great lightweight sneaker with great fit and comfort. love the slip on feature and tread design. Could use a thicker insole to reduce shock but completely adequate. I ordered half size larger and added thicker sock and found them great for hiking and pickleball.
