I ordered these for my planned trip to hike Tour Du Mont Blanc in Europe. I really liked the color of these and the extremely light weight. They are waterproof w/ Gore-Tex. I usually wear a mens size 9 so bought these from REI in size 9, but they were a bit snug in the toe so returned and found a 9.5 online at Merrell. This half size up seemed to have a little too much extra room in the toe so was surprised that a half size up would have that much difference. I decided to keep them and while hiking to break them in I had to really tighten the laces to prevent my feet from sliding forward when descending. This fixed the problem. I brought these to Europe with me and really enjoyed having them. They didnt need a lot of breaking in which was nice. I highly recommend these, but be prepared you may have to size up by half.

Been using Merrills now for at least 8 years and have not used any others. I could not find the 20% discount for us loyal customers so that was a drag. Shoes themselves are the best out there.

Not only are the comfortable and lite but the look good too compared to most other hiking boots I've worn.

Very comfortable and lightweight summer time hiking shoes. Mid height helps with ankle support but obviously still need to be somewhat careful. Did 10 miles in Tahoe both on and and off trail and they did great. Walked through some snow and dont get wet but didnt fully test how water resistant they are.

Very comfortable and durable, bought them for a safari in South Africa and now Im using them for work they are so comfortable.

Moab Speed GTX although not a fit for my shape of foot, my wife has a pair and just LOVES them.

Got this shoes a month ago and was sold on the weight of the pair. Definitely lightweight and comfortable. The cushion is good. Wish it had a little bit more arch support. Tested it downhill as it is the most important for me. Unfortunately, the opening is too wide and can only tighten so much and I have skinny legs so my foot slides to the front going downhill. I added insoles and it seems to work fine but it makes the shoe stiffer. I will see how it holds up on a 20 mile hike. Will definitley change the laces. They feel thin. Maybe Merrell should add more eyelets up on top to support the foot more and have that option than not.

Fit a bit small, I'd order a half size bigger, very waterproof and the insoles are very comfortable

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought. Have not been on a hike yet but Ive walked in them all day and was very pleased. Highly recommend.

My last pair of Merrills were starting to wear out so I bought these as a replacement. I only wear vegan hiking boots and the smallest men's size fits my feet (I normally wear a women's 8 1/2) best. So far these actually seem to be waterproof and are reasonably comfortable. They required no breaking in.

Great shoe, very comfortable. I wore mine during my visit to antelope canyon and horseshoe bend and currently wearing them throughout the New York City Winter. Where I currently live

It's only been 3 months since I ordered these and the sole has a small separation already. Clearly they're not going to last very long and these are not cheap boots. I can say the cushion is fantastic. Never had a more comfortable boot.
