Move over Hoka, the speed goat has nothing on this shoe! Cushioning in all the right places makes for an amazing run. Add in the Vibram outsole and i never need another trail shoe. I also just wear these as my everyday sneaker because they are so comfortable.

I am not a hiker/runner, I am 72 years old and do ten four minute miles per day on my bicycle. I have been wearing this particular model for two Months and am beyond pleased with the comfort and stability,

I bought these a few weeks ago for long dog walks and light hikes. I have all sorts of Merrell sneakers boots and sandals. I bought them in the pear color, which I really love. They are comfortable right out of the box. Lots of toe room. Nice sturdy arch support, and you can lace them snug to your feet. They have a big thick rocking sole which propels you forward. Allows you to walk faster! I'm really happy with these.

I took them to South Africa and used them almost everyday. They are very lite, easy to wear, no pain after 10 hrs use. :))

I love these shoes. I bought them as a replacement for my Merrell Nova 2's which were really comfortable but had some durability issues so I decided to switch it up a little and try the Agility Peak 5. These shoes are a lot to take in aesthetically so I did have hesitations based purely on their appearance but they are ridiculously comfortable. I've had them a little over a month or so now so they have some miles and I would absolutely, 100% buy them again. They are great.

I just don'tget it: my first pairof theses, fit great, a tiny bit large in fact, and I liked them so much I ordered this pair in black. The issue is these are a full half size smaller than the first pair I got and I got the same size: 8.5. These were remarkably tight on the toe which is the worst for me because I pronate. I love Merrels because they've always worked great for me. Not these, surprisingly. QC issue?

Loved these shoes! This was my first time trying a Merrell shoe, and I'm positive it won't be my last. I needed a shoe that provided optimum cushion and joint support during walks, hikes, etc. I'm a true size 9 in shoes. So I ordered the 9.5, and the fit was perfect. Overall, these shoes look great (I get plenty of compliments), feel great, and have maintained their quality since I started wearing them, several months ago.

I was looking for a cushioned shoe with good tread for hikes with my dog on multiple surfaces. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. Perfect for their purpose. My only complaint is the almost $70 price difference for same model, different color! Function is more important to me, so I got the less expensive ones.

This might be the perfect trail running shoe! Extremely comfortable shoe. Straight out of the box did a 5 mile trail run and immediately noticed improvements from my existing shoe. The right amount of tread, aggressive enough for rugged terrain, but still very comfortable on those easy trails. The heel support felt questionable the first mile, but settled in nicely and no issues. 2 weeks in and roughly 35 miles in them, including a half marathon and I think I've found my perfect trail shoe. Now, we will see how durable they are, but nothing yet is raising any red flags.

These are very comfortable. I wanted a cushiony pair of sneakers and elected to get these since the chat revealed these were the most comfortable. They are right. I wore them dog walking for 20 minutes the first time out of the box and loved them immediately. I have a pair of alpine sneakers and Moab 3s too. Love Merrill!

I love these shoes for the grip and the comfort. I've already bought another pair to train in and 1 for a race. They have just the right amount of cushioning for me where I can still feel the trail but plenty of a cushion. The lugs work great on technical rocky trails and mud. I don't love them on roads tho but are ok for short distances on pavement. They are a bit stiff when you first buy them, so you do need a bit to break them in. I have a narrow foot and they fit perfect, so definitely won't work for wide feet.

These felt great in every way, except I felt that the arch was too far back, experiencing a bump by the inner heel area. Otherwise, I would have kept them. I might have ordered a different color, though, as these would tend to clash with my clothes. I might order another pair just to see if it was just that pair of shoes.

I am on my second pair and it's probably my favorite trail running shoe. I feel confident and comfortable in this shoe on any terrain including technical, steep mountain trails. Traction is excellent. Stability is very good for a shoe with this stack height. Comfort is where this shoe shines. The midsole reminds me of the EVO Speedgoat, just the right balance of cushion and responsiveness. I have high arches and get plenty of support. The only complaint I have is the durability. I got about 280 miles out of my first pair before the upper blew out. I almost didn't buy a second pair because of this, but the shoe is so good in every other way that I had to. Hoping to get more miles out of my second pair.

I've been wearing these for a couple months for trail walking and every day wandering. I love the shoes but find them to be a little soft. I wish the insoles weren't glued down to the footbed so I could get them out without risking damage to the footbed. If that was possible I could put my orthotics in to help stiffen up the shoe. Other than that, the shoes were comfortable from day one, fit my narrow feet well, and looked great.

I loved the look (tan ones) and lightweightness when tried on. My little toes however were feeling the outside wall more than the usual feel I get with my other Merrells' toe boxes (hiking shoes). I went to remove the insole, so I could slip in my sport orthotics, but found that the shoe's insole is attached under the forefoot. I've returned them..and I'm still in search of a light, wide toed trail runner.

I have been using Merrell trail shoes during the past 8 years.
After I wore this pair during a though 100-miler race, I can say:
Pros:
-Lightweight (9.5 Oz in 8 US).
-Cushion is fantastic. Its rock plate really helps.
-Excellent grip, perfect for technical terrains.
-Exterior is very protective. After 120 miles shoes look in a very good condition.
Con:
-It would be perfect if they were more confortable. Not bad after all (zero blisters during my race!).
Agility Peak 5 was the right choice.

Usual great Merrell fit and comfort along with consistent sizing. One major drawback though is you can't remove the insole, it's glued in place. Tried to carefully remove it but was worried I would damage the shoe or have pieces of the insole still stuck to it so I left it in place. I'll still use them but won't buy again.

My Agility peak 4's have been a lifesaver- they accommodate my orthotic and helped me get moving again after toe surgery. No other Merrells have worked for me- usually due to ankle discomfort and tight toebox. I really wanted black so was thrilled to see Agility peak 5 in black (ish). But why oh why keep the name and dramatically change the shoe!! The heel now has a very course lining instead of smoothe- almost like a brillo pad so you have to wear thick socks. The toe box is now tighter. and the insole is firmly glued in so you can't put in your own orthotic. So frustrated!

The arch was too far back, pressing into the heel of my foot. I'm very disappointed. The shoes are beautiful but painful. Sent them back.

In search of shoes with a roomy toe box, and this was NOT it. Toes were cramped even before I started walking in them so they're going back. Too bad, because they're light weight and I like the style.

I was excited to try this shoe after reading the reviews and specific information on Merrell's website. Merrell's diagrams appeared to show that the insole was removable. It is not and I will be sending them back. Too bad. The shoe might have worked for me but I didn't want to take a chance that they wouldn't fit with my custom orthotics. Really, Merrell? Is there a reason to glue the insole to the shoe?

this is one of the most uncomfortable sneakers I ever purchased. I was surprised, because I have Merrell trail booties and they fit well and are reasonably comfortable. The sole sort of rocked me backwards to my heels, so I wasn't standing straight. There was also a gap at the back so that every time I took a step, my heel came up, even with the laces tied snugly. And there was no cushioning at all. I have bad knees and I was hoping for a sneaker that felt good.... these actually hurt. I am extremely disappointed.
