Great fit, good support for a lifestyle sneaker. Room for toes to spread out. Don't love attached tongue but it's not a dealbreaker. Love the colors.

I have two pairs of these so when one wears out, I still have fabulously comfortable and comfortable shoes. These have walked the streets in Ireland, steps in Greek isles and cobblestones of Jerusalem.

The alpine sneaker is wonderful and very suitable and durable for my lifestyle. They're all terrain, comfortable, and supportive. I love the color schemes that are available, especially mine, without the purple. I feel safe and sturdy in these shoes, and easy to clean! All terrain they feel and act waterproof. The Alpine 83 sneaker is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made! Thank you!

PLEASE BRING THIS IN WIDE!!! Bought this in 7.5 M - felt AMAZING, snug around the backs of my feet (where it's frequently not snug enough,) fit my feet like a glove, EXCEPT it was tight because my feet are wide. Had to return! Excellent construction and materials as usual. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

I bought this shoe because I thought it would be a comfortable shoe. I have many different styles of Terrell's, and I love them all. This one, however, is being returned. I can't get it on! Granted, I am disabled, but the the inability to get a Merrell shoe on my foot has never been an issue. First, the description says the tongue is "gusseted." It is not! There simply is no tongue. The top of the shoe is just one piece, and because it rises high the foot, you have to be a gymnast to get it on. There is no slipping it on because the opening is waaaaaay too small for a shoe with no tongue. Merrell, please rethink your description. Gusset is used improperly in your description!

LOVE everything about these! The color is fantastic & a perfect option heading into spring. I stand most of the day at work & after wearing them a few times I am so pleased with how comfortable they are. I was a little surprised that they're a slip-on style, but it turns out I love the fit even more. I did get a 7.5, I am usually a 7-7.5.

I have never been able to wear the Alpine sneaker because the forefoot area pinched against my pinky toe, even though I do not have wide feet. After seeing the website video for these, I decided to give them a try. This version of the Alpine definitely has more room up front, which is great! However, I do believe these might run a bit long and they have more "volume" in general. If I wore a medium hiking sock, these would fit well, however, I do not plan to wear them this way.l I ordered my normal size of 9 and I am going to try the 8.5. It will be interesting to see if the 8.5 is a "perfect" fit. Otherwise, very comfortable shoe and sharp looking!

Love the original alpine sneakers, but the recraft does not work for me. Very challenging to get my foot into the shoe and the top of the 'tongue' is very irritating to my ankle. I imagine the way you have to step on the heel to navigate your foot into shoe will cause it to break down quickly. Would recommend trying on first, the fit is different than original.

The comfiest shoe ever straight out of the box! I usually wear Superfeet insoles in all my shoes, but I accidentally walked 8km on my first day in these, without my usual insoles, and didn't even notice. Not possible in any other shoe (trail, hike, run) I own. Buying a second pair. I am in love

I love these! it was initially a little difficult to get my foot in but now they slip right on and are so comfortable and convenient. I went up a 1/2 size like recommended and they fit perfectly. Highly recommend!

These shoes are crazy comfortable. I have virtually no arches that causes very painful plantar fasciitis and I was having a hard time looking for a pair of shoes that looked good for everyday wear and were comfortable for long walks. I haven't given these shoes a break since I got them! Super comfortable and well made, worth the money.

I like these recraft of the Alpine. I purchased them as a casual shoe for everyday wear. They are so comfortable, I've found myself taking longer walks in them. They aren't a slip-on shoe, but easy to pull on and off for the most part. They are also fun. I've purchased two pair of these in different color combinations. I look forward to wearing them this summer. I had some previous versions of the Alpine sneaker and didn't find they held up well. So far, so good with these and they're roomier than previous versions, which I think will help with keeping them in good shape with repeated use.

These fit really well! I have a narrow foot, a high arch, arthritis in my toes, and --- I read the earlier reviews, so I ordered a larger size. Regular walking on pavement and woods trails should be well-supported and comfortable with this choice. I have needed Merrill sneakers for years.
