I've worn similar Merran Terran sandals for several years; Merrill seems to modify them a little every year, but they've always been great to wear. This model (Terran 4 Post) is not comfortable because the narrow strap that goes across my toes slips on and off my little toe, making the shoe feel very unstable. I'm older and concerned about falling; these shoes worry me that they'll slip on my foot and I'll fall. No other Merrell sandals have felt like this.

I have owned several pair of this type of Merrell shoe and have loved most of them with the exception of when the materials went very cheap. This pair has a band across the toe that I feel is too loose and useless. It makes me spread my toes out to fit the shoe when I walk. Why the change? Had to return them.

Several months ago I bought two pair and wore them most of summer. Liked that they wrapped toe. Just bought ones that are open. I will see which are best. Perhaps both.

I have several pairs of Terran Posts from previous seasons. These, as expected, are comfortable and fit well. The Velcro strap to adjust width is kind of nice (I have narrow feet). However, they are much bulkier than years past, which is what had set them apart from other outdoor brands. They look odd on my narrow feet. (Pretty please make it smaller next year.)

I loved your old flip flops with the toe hold--I have 3 pair, and disappointed when they were discontinued. The new style has some odd--and unnecessary- flourishes like velcro strap and thin band across the toes, with diagonl fabric rope. But the new heel and sole are very comfortable, even outside the house.

I have bought Merrels for 14 years and have been happy . This summer I ordered this sandal cause the one I usually buy, was not offered? This one has an extra strap at the toe area. I cannot keep this shoe on and my little toe will not stay under the strap. The sandal has great arch support and sturdy, they just fit different. Since I have worn them outside, I cant return. Sorry , I do not feel the new change will work.

They are so comfortable that my daughter took them from me and says she loves them. meanwhile I have had to order another pair in a different color. Merrell sandals are the only ones I have found that have a foot area that does not irritate the Neuroma in the bottom of one foot. I wear open toe and open back sandals all the time unless there is more than an inch of snow on the ground.

Not a good fit. Foot slides in shoe and the picky toe does not stay in. Don't like them at all. wish I could return them

The strap that goes across your toes is not positioned well., My toes kept slipping out and getting caught and it hurt. Since I had wore them, I couldn't send them back, so I removed the stitching on the one side and cut the other side off. At least they are wearable now, but would not purchase then again.,

I have purchased your sandles for 15 years. I need a sandle that is comfortable all day. These are comfortable but this year you have added a strap at the toe area. Im having a hard time keeping them on and my little toe wont stay under the strap. What is your return policy is they have been worn once?

Love these sandals but, like another reviewer, I cut off the strap across the toes. The strap was not only uncomfortable but makes the sandals look like they are for old people. I'm old but much preferred the previous style without the strap. Cutting the strap was easy and looks/feels so much better.
