I usually size up 1/2 a size for running / hiking shoes - but had to return these for a whole size up. Wanted a sturdier sole for walking my dog 3-4 miles each day. I was going through running shoes too quickly. These have plenty of room in the toe box - if you have narrow feet avoid them. Laces would be pulled and buckling on top of foot would happen. Also like the fact they don’t “look” like hiking shoes and more like a running shoe. Happy with purchase - my dog is happy too we go farther!!

I really liked the style and overall fit, but my ankles rubbed on the sides and my heels slipped when I walked. I could not make them work. I had to return them.

The shoe runs large and wide; the toe box especially. Also, not enough arch support. I would definitely have to use arch support inserts.

I can't really provide an accurate review on the comfort or overall, as I was unable to wear them. I absolutely loved the shoe, however they were too small and did not have a larger size for an exchange. I do find that Merrell's typically run short. I wish I had ordered up.

Nice looking shoe with great cushioning but No lateral support. I’m 65 and having balance issues. The fabric of the shoe isn’t conducive for keeping my foot stable.

Toe box much too small.

When I put them on both toe areas had a big wrinklr on them. I have worn Merrells for at least 10 years and have never had a problem with.
