The leather IS very stiff. Didn’t feel like I wanted to take the chance that it would soften…at this price. Returning.

The left shoe felt crooked when I walked as though my foot was not stable.

It was very large much larger than the other pair I ordered although they were the same size.

I bought the shiny leather version, bc I love the look and the gold buckles. They are REALLY cute on the foot. I have normal width feet and the narrow did not seem narrow to me. The main issue with these is that shiny leather … it’s very stiff, and very uncomfortable. The foot bed even feels less comfortable bc it’s lined with a similar material. I will be returning, sadly, but may come back to try the suede version.

I returned the shoes only because they were obviously returned by someone else. I reordered and hope they don’t look used.

The narrow fit was good for my small 6.5 sized foot. But I was not a fan of the big buckle style. I have been looking for a traditional Arizona with original footbed in dove gray and this was the closest thing I could find. Maybe I missed out and they are now out of stock? The only other traditional looking Arizona in dove gray is a soft footbed. I may try it but I hope Birkinstock will make more in dove gray with the original footbed.

I ordered this sandal specifically for the “big buckle” - but the very feature that gives it high style points, alas, really detracts from the fit and comfort. As usual with Birkenstocks, the leather is high quality, thick and substantial- but a bit stiff at first- and the straps are so wide, to accommodate the oversized buckle, that I felt them digging in to my foot. Also, the Big Buckle model is not available with the soft footbed, which I have found I really prefer. Thank goodness for Zappos excellent return process - here I am, only 1 day later, wearing the soft footbed Florida Birks I ordered as a replacement!

Not for narrow feet.

I wanted to love them but ended up sending them back. First, they are too narrow for me, and this style comes only in narrow. Second, the leather felt rough and too hard. Third, I was not crazy about the color and the look. They look better in pictures than in person, in my opinion. Zappos were phenomenal in making the return easy! And they issued refund the minute I took the box to UPS store, without even checking it, just like Amazon does. This is what I call customer trust and respect. Love Zappos! Will definitely buy again. These sandals run narrow. I have another pair of Arizona sandals in nubuck from couple years ago, same Narrow width. If I hold next to these, sole noticeably narrower. Had to return & didn’t have wider width.

I returned them, I understand that with Birkenstock you have to wear them a while before they are comfortable. But the issue I had is he strap closest to my ankle dug into my ankle and didn't think that was going to get better.

Too narrow!!! Love the shoe, but my feet don't!

I've loved Birkenstock sandals since my first pair in the 90s. There's just something about a sandal that provides just the right amount of support, easy on, and effortless relaxed style (if you find the right one for you). Most recently I've been wearing the Gizeh in oiled tobacco but wanted to make a break and spice things up a bit. I, too, am confused by why these cute styles only come in narrow width. As someone with normal feet that err slightly on the wider side, I've always felt right at home in Birkenstocks, but have never in my life ordered a wide width shoe specifically. This particular style was very uncomfortable. Despite being the exact same size I've always worn in Birks, the footbed hit my foot in strange places, the strap at my midfoot was tight even when taken out to the largest setting and the high shine black leather was stiff and rubbed my feet wrong. I loved the look of them but had no desire to wear them. A fail. They went back.

I LOVE how these look but they were so uncomfortable. I pulled a muscle in my calf from wearing them somehow and my feet went numb. If only they had the same cork footbed as other Birks...

I don't like that is doesn't have the traditional Birkenstock foot beds to conform to your feet.

Really hard leather on the straps…not Birkenstock quality.

This narrow style does NOT run wide as someone previously mentioned! Even the straps are too tight for a normal width so I'm going to have to get their wide size. I love the silver buckles on the black. I get frustrated trying to find silver accents instead of the ugly brass tone. I love that the footbed is black as it would hide dirt sweat skin oil whatever compared to the tan natural footbed color. My other pair are the Arizona soft and I think I'm going to stick with that feature bc they're a quicker break in and more comfortable. These ones felt like hard pavement.

These are gorgeous sandals! The rich black shiny leather. The big gold buckles. They were unfortunately the most uncomfortable birks ever. I have tons of Birkenstocks abs know how to break them in. Nothing worked and I have a very narrow foot. So sad because these are so cute . . . But they hurt to wear and at this price point I can’t justify it all. Especially since this brand is all about comfort. Have to return them.

So I loved the stylish look of these Birks, but the patent leather was just so stiff that I knew they would never break in enough to be comfortable across my forefoot. Maybe my pinkie toes are more sensitive than average, but just walking around the house made them sore. As for sizing, they were true to size. I always take a 40 in Birk sandals (I wear a 9.5-10 in regular shoes), and these were no exception. I’m disappointed in the comfort, as I was hoping these could be my “dressy” Birkenstocks, but I guess I’ll have to go back to my tried and true suede soft footbeds.

The footbed is different from all my Birkenstocks. It’s like a hard plastic. Kills my feet. Too late to return. I owns lots and have never bought a pair so uncomfortable. Paid way too much to never wear. Style is cute but that’s it!

I already posted the review for these shoes, well let’s do it again. I love these shoes they’re so cute with big buckle even cuter, but they are not comfortable which is strange for Birkenstocks. I know it takes time to break in, but with these shoes that was not the case. Anyway I ordered apricot color because I had some store credit. When the shoes arrived they were the most comfortable shoes ever the only difference was these are yellow. So I called the customer service and I explained what happened with the same style, same leather ,but one was extremely uncomfortable and the yellow one very comfortable. They told me that sometimes that depends on the color. That didn’t make sense to me at all so I called the Birkenstock store. They said that that’s not true, they should all fit the same, if it’s the same style and same leather which in this case it is. So now I re-ordered the one I wanted to double check if they’re going to fit like yellow. So don’t give up. If you like the shoes and the color and they don’t fit how they supposed to fit, you returned them and you re-order another pair. I know it’s a hassle , but if you like them and you want them so bad you will have to do that and see if it’s going to work out for you like it did for me.

This is my first review ,ever.This are my second pair of Arizona Big Buckle.They are so popular,so I decided to get one pair .The most beautiful,(for me )were White Big Buckle.They were M ,they didn't have narrow. I still got them and I was crazy how cute they are.They were not comfortable at all in the beginning,but I didn't care.After 2 months, finally I was able to walk without any pain.So this second pair that I got are also sooo cute, I fell in love instantly. But,I am not even able to walk in my house for 15 minutes with no pain. I was reading the reviews and everyone is giving 4 , 5 stars.There are some people complaining and saying that this are not the same Birkenstock like they were before.Then I was reading that they need some time to break in. I was always the UGG person .They have the best slippers and I can wear them right away without breaking them first.

I have many pairs of Birkenstock - but this one rubbed the top of my foot.
