These shoes have no durability. I have had two pairs, and both ripped along the outter sole of the shoe. I only put about 300 miles on them before they ripped. I'll admit I do some lateral movements to warm up before running and that may have contributed to the shortened lifespan, but I have never had shoes do that to me before.

The cushion in the heel made me unsteady in my foot placement and sole comfort. I have only worn adrenalines which I love, and ghost which fits differently but still like them as well. Always wanted to try other Brooks. Glycerin made heel sink in and put more stress and strain on the arch and instability in balance. Cascadia had an elastic band inside that felt horribly uncomfortable, and was very stiff. Ariel was also stiff and uncomfortable in the sole. They felt like the depth of the shoe was not deep enough like the adrenaline and ghost, which ALWAYS fit right!

I think they're a little too soft. I prefer the Ghost because it is firmer.

I've been buying Brooks Glycerin for years after having them recommended after a fitting at a running store. They have been amazing for my flat feet, allowing me to walk for a long time with zero pain later. Unfortunately, this model iteration was disappointing. I know that their wide shoe has the same size base as the regular, but I really felt it in this model. I could feel the edge of the outside of the base on my feet which means my foot isn't going to get the overall support it needs. Sadly I had to return them. I'm really really disappointed because I have truly loved every other model of Glycerin I've had in the past. Now I'm on the hunt for a new go-to wide width shoe that's supportive for flat feet. I gave 2 stars because the cushioning felt as stable and supportive as ever, and the upper part of the shoe felt comfortable on my feet.

This is probably my 20th pair of Brooks shoes. I use the Ghost's for the gym and the Glycerin for everyday walking around. Bought the series 21 to replace my worn out series 20. Quite a difference. As one of the other reviewers said, the way the tongue is stitched into the shoe is extremely thick and tough. This causes pain across the top of my foot in that area. Sadly, I will be returning these. I guess I will be trying a different model.

Bought two sets of this model. The first a regular width and they killed my feet. Intense pain on exterior parts of my feet and little toes. Opted to buy another in a wide version and experienced the same effect. The toe cup on both sets also creased nearly immediately, and caused further toe pain.

I have only ran in Glycerin shoes for the past 3-4 years. I love them. But the 21 has caused me some issues. The front area of the shoe feels tighter on my foot and even has caused some discomfort. Not sure what if any changes were made to the shoe but I may have to get a different shoe.

were comfortable at first, after two day at work my right foot is killing me. Toe box must be bit tight or there is something wrong with the right shoe. The left is fine. Cushioning is good but I can barely walk

The 20's are my favorite shoes. The 21's are way too narrow so I didn't purchase. Same size on both. 12 EE. Whyyyyyy would you make the shoe more narrow???????

Upper toe material defect. The upper portion where your big toe fits in the shoe formed a wedge and digs into my L&R Big toe. Feels like a stick or shoe string is poking my toe when I run and walk. The Glycerin 20 was better, should have just put the new sole on that shoe.

Felt super great at first. You can really feel the support. After a couple wears my feet began to blister and have sharp pains. I've never been a wide but maybe I need it.

Customer service was awesome. Mail lost my shoes and Brooks sent out a new pair immediately. I was hopeful for these shoes because of the price, however; I have been fairly disappointed. The break in period was about two days and was rough. I walk 4-6 miles a day at work and the first couple of shifts after the break in period were great. Sadly, now my feet begin to hurt early into the shift (my shoes are only a month old). Overall they have not been what I was looking for.

I recently picked up the Brooks Glycerin 21 after my go-to shoe, the Brooks Adrenaline, was out of stock. I was told the Glycerin was a good alternative, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to that promiseat least not for me. Right out of the box, the Glycerin 21 felt plush and well-cushioned, which initially gave me hope. However, once I started running, the comfort quickly disappeared. The fit felt off, especially around the arch and heel, and I noticed discomfort within the first couple of miles. After a few runs, the pain in my feet became consistent enough that I had to stop using them altogether. To be fair, the Glycerin 21 might work well for runners who prefer a softer, more neutral shoe, but if you're coming from the Adrenalineespecially if you rely on the stability featuresit's just not the same experience. I felt like I had less support, which may have contributed to the discomfort during runs. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the Glycerin 21 as a substitute for the Adrenaline, especially if foot support and comfort are high priorities for you. Hopefully, the Adrenaline comes back in stock soon because this one just didn't work for me.

Very uncomfortable shoe. It hurt after leaving it on for five minutes while sitting. The toe box was much more narrow than the Glycerin 20. The 22 version was even more uncomfortable with the pushed out my heel to “support” the Achilles tendon. It actually caused me back and leg pain trying it on. Very sad that I have to look for a new brand! Bring back the Glycerin 20 design please!

I bought these on closeout to replace my glycerin 20's with 400+ miles on them First of all, the Glycerin 20 might have been a near perfect running shoe. It was delightfully boring, but it was comfortable, stayed out of my way, and helped me run injury free I had hoped snagging the 21's would be a continuation of what I loved in the 20's. Nope Toe box? Too narrow. Every run is pain now Arch? Too narrow and too high. Pain (my wife even complained of this when she swapped to the 21's from her 20's) You're probably reading this and thinking "you have wide feet, you should have gotten the wide size" - A) I do not, I wear regular width for every other shoes B) my complaints are after buying the wide size for these I tried so hard to break these in. I'm writing this review after 125 miles and tons of pain and hopes that they would be what the 20's were. They are not

The only thing I liked about the Glycerin 21 was the room in the toe box area. I am highly disappointed with these shoes. I have ran about 25 miles total in them and my knees have been hurting really bad. I ran in the Glycerin starting with the 10 and going to the 15. Never had a problem before. These shoes are not balanced right, they are too thick in the midsole, and there is no energy return. I hate to say this, but I wouldn't tell any of my friends to buy these.

I have been comfortably wearing Brooks Adrenaline for over a year now but wanted to try something with a little less drop for my 10-12 miles per week. The left shoe is great. The right one has lace bite, pinches the ball and small toe of my foot. It's like a completely different shoe. Terribly disappointed with these and will need an alternative.
