I'm a walker and mainly it's on uneven ground. I need durable, wide-toed shoes.

I wear Skechers everyday, everywhere. Work and at home. I only wear Skechers due to I have plantar fasciitis in my heal and these shoes help to relieve the pain while walking or wearing any shoe.

Japan trip. Avg'd 7 miles/day, up, down steps, literal mountains (trails). Need some break in (for my feet) in toe box but after, they were amazing cushion, support, traction. Slip-ins fan forever!

This was my first pair of Skechers. Got a super discount and was excited. After receiving the shoes I discovered there is absolutley no arch support and my heel lifts out of the heel cup with each step. I have "normal" width feet; not narrow nor wide. I am stunned that such a successful company got that way by making such poor designs.

Was looking for a slip-in shoe for light hiking and other outdoor uses. Most Skechers have a white or light color on the lower portion of the shoe, which is not really suitable for uses in dirt or mud. I was drawn to these shoes first because they have a black bottom half - much better for outdoor use. The water-repellent leather is certainly a plus.

I own several pair of Sketcher slip-ins. The last pair of outdoor ones I wore out (Loved them) I bought these for outer wear. They are comfortable. They seem as though they will be durable. BUT the ties on slip-ons don't make sense. Besides they are way too short. If you pull them tight enough to stay tied the shoes are too tight. I will keep the shoes and buy longer shoestrings.

Functions as advertised. If they hold up over 12 months with the same characteristics as when brand new, they would be rated as great. Would recommend to friends and people looking for a good outdoor shoe.

Super comfortable. No break-in period. Look great. Feet easily slip in. Can't speak to durability at this point. The only issue is the tie. Why is there a tie when it's a slip-in shoe? And the tie irritatingly doesn't stay tied. SO annoying. Otherwise a great, sturdy, comfortable, good-looking shoe.

They fit great for wide feet and are very comfortable. Slip in worked great at first, but 6 months later they do not slip in as well. They also can be slippery on surfaces, and the the sole wears out quickly, very disappointed in the Goodyear branded soles, I expected much better, and the cost is pretty high for what they are. Don't be fooled, they are water resistant, which means they resist light rain, but not splashing water or stepping in puddles. If your expectations are not high and are looking for a very comfortable, stylish shoe for dry weather, where the sole wears quickly, this is a good shoe for you. That said, because these are so comfortable and look great (gotten complements), I did buy a second pair.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell - they last longer and have better grip

I use these for work. A lot of walking and climbing outdoors in the elements. I take my shoes on and off a lot during the day so I thought the slip one would be a great option. They held up really well to my job which requires me to be walking in and around chemicals and other corrosive liquids. Usually the shoe separates from the sole where they are glued but these have stayed together. Unfortunately the downfall of these came when I noticed where the heel slips in at. The material on the shoe horn was wearing after only 5 months of use. 2 weeks later both sides have holes and the foam is deteriorating away quickly. I can't recommend these for anyone that takes there's shoes off more than 1 time a day if you want them to last more than half a year. The material on the shoe horn just won't last. I also got a half size small to make sure they had a tight fit, that didn't help.

Good grip on the Goodyear pattern. Solid feel when on uneven surfaces. Wish they can in all black (my preference) as mud shows more on the grey. Faux laces do come loose (i secured with a zip tie).

Have not done much hiking yet. However, I can tell already that I won't feel every rock, pebble or root that I step on. The sole is pretty thick. Lots of cushioning. Biggest negative is that these are supposed to be water resistant. I find water goes through the nylon mesh easily. Don't expect your feet to stay dry in wet conditions. This is nitpicking, but the laces don't stay tied very well.

I was excited to find a hiking "style" shoe (these aren't real hiking shoes, so don't try it - go with Merrell, or Keen, etc. if you need real hiking shoes) that were slip-ins, and had Good Year tread! However, upon receiving them, I immediately discovered that it had real laces, not decorative laces, like my previous pair of Skechers. I thought, "oh, well, slip 'em on, lace 'em up to a comfortable snugness, tie 'em up and I'll be good to go!". Except I quickly encountered an untied shoelace. And then another and another. Bottom line, these laces do not stay tied. And yes, I even double tie them, and they STILL come untied, though maybe only after 2-3 weeks, instead every other day. Bottom line, because they have real laces that won't stay tied, it pretty much defeated the entire purpose of these being slip-ins. I should have returned them, but I needed a new pair shoes for an upcoming trip, and it would have taken too long to get another pair before I left. So, I have to re-tie them every couple of weeks.

I recently had back fusion surgery, and it's nearly impossible to bend over and tie a shoe lace. With the Slip Ins, all that bending over is eliminated. The shoe even has "mock" shoelaces which makes them look like traditional sneakers.

These type of slip-ins are for wearing outside where the other 2 pair I bought earlier or more for indoors, because of support and picking up rocks. Shoe strings are round and slick & need knots tied.
