These have been great for my second grader, who has really struggled with learning how to tie shoes. He’s able to put these on independently and tighten them so that his foot is comfortable and secure in the shoe. He’s hard on footwear and these have lasted us several months now. The elastic in the laces will wear out before the shoe, so we might still have a chance at prolonging their use.

These were a little hard to get on my 3 yr olds foot initially. They are very nicely made, and easier to get on now that they are broken in. Proper little hiking shoe with very good traction and toe protection. Recommend!

These shoes are nice, fit true to size, and seemed well-made, but after less than four weeks of not even daily use, the elastic cord lace on one shoe snapped and the cord on the other shoe shows signs of fraying. For a kids shoe, this is a big miss. Merrell customer service has been good so far, so well see if the replacements last longer

These were a replacement for the Nova which used to be our go to shoe (side note: that shoe has changed and fell apart immediately).
Kid reports these are comfy, wearing everyday. Very light weight and so far holding up to normal activities including light hiking.

My kids said these shoes were comfortable but after wearing them on one trip that included some hiking, the "Quantum Grip" technology pealed off the bottom of the shoes. Now the gray coarser areas are no longer there. Shoes were worn maybe 5 days and we had two pair for two different people with same issue.

The shoe sole has completely come apart from the shoe. A total waste of money. Only had the shoe 2 months. This has not happened with any other shoes we have had.
