The toe box has been redesigned with a rubber coating that unfortunately for me, makes incredibly undesirable noises when walking. Almost like a popping sound.
The rear ankle support portion is also different from the previous version which was purchased 10 months ago and it hits different and caused a decent blister the first few times I've worn them.
Not sure why the desire to change from the previous designs but for me, it doesn't work

But these are not as good as the parks project shoes. My new shoes the right shoe creases and pinches down on the top of my toes. It hurts

I love these UltraRange line of shoes but this pair has a strange smell: plastic-y or as if they got wet, or something. I have had many pairs of vans over the years and this shoe specifically (in a different color) with no weird smell ever. They are obviously new and unworn so not sure why. The smell seems to be dissipating (I think). I will just buy in-person going forward, I guess: it is just so much easier, with more choices online.

I really wanted to like this shoe. All I wear is Vans, mostly authentics. I was looking forward to wearing a more 'runners' type shoe from my favorite brand. But there's a design flaw in the toe section. Above the toes, the top section folds upon walking. It folds into the toes. With every step, you feel the top section folding into your toes. I can't imagine how bad the "fold line" will appear after wearing the shoe for a while. Hopefully they fix this with the next version. Not sure how more reviews don't mention this.

Left shoe fits, right shoe does not. Will be returning "in store" tomorrow. Never had issues with Vans fit before. AND no paperwork included.

ZERO STARS. These shoes are great for standing ONLY. Walking in them is excruciating!! Highly unsatisfied and will return. 2 thumbs down.

I bought men's shoes because I liked the style of these. I have super narrow feet and these fit super tight. I was so surprised especially being men's shoes.

I have been wearing UltraRange shoes since they came out and loved them. I recently purchased another pair (thinking quality and fit would be the same). I was wrong. The pair I received fits terrible and puts extreme pressure on the top of your foot. Even with no laces. The shoe is simply un-wearable. I have been a long time vans consumer and never has an issue so I figured I would reach out to corporate. I I did reach out...They basically told me to go pound sand and there is nothing they can do. Please do not waste your money on these shoes.

I bought these for work and wore them around 5 times before the mesh ripped. They also made a weird clicking noise near the toe every time I took a step.

Have worn these shoes a handful of times in the year since purchased. I got them in white. Looks as if they are stained where the leather meets the cloth. So they appear dirty all the time. Was thinking it could be glue perhaps. Super comfortable. Just disappointing especially for the price I paid.

When I first tried these on they felt comfortable. After wearing them for an hour my ankles were sore, then my friend gasped, oh my gosh you're bleeding! The high pull tab was rubbing so badly I was bleeding. I was out of town and didn't have many options. I tried moleskin and bandaids to protect my skin. The pull tab wore right through them. It was awful. A week later and I still have scabs. An absolute waste of money.

Literally wore them twice and the sole of my left shoe started to fall off. Poorly manufactured, had high hopes, greatly disappointed.

Do you have any plans to replenish stock in certain colors in certain sizes? I keep getting advertisements for a shoe that I really want but my size is NEVER AVAILABLE

I bought these before I went on a trip to Seattle knowing that I would be walking a lot, and my other vans are completely worn out (I'm a teacher and on my feet a lot). I figured this would be a good time to buy some cool looking but comfy shoes to use on the trip and then after the trip. After walking around for about an hour, the crease in the shoe over my left big toe started to stab into my toe knuckle. I was limping and wincing in pain. I've had uncomfortable shoes before, but sheesh, these are like torture devices. They were uncomfortable (very painful) and a waste of money. I was forced to look goofy and wear either my running shoes or my hiking boots around the city the rest of the trip.

I've been buying these shoes for years. The soles are rigid and flat with this year's lot. Quality has diminished. I know it is cost saving for the company to use less quality material, but I bought these based on comfort. Now there's no point to buy them. I am sad I'm being forced to not stay a loyal vans customer.

Bought these shoes from one of your retailers in Norway. Used them about 15 times when i play frisbeegolf and now both shoes have ripped several places in the thin mesh fabric on the side. Made a complaint to the retailer, they said Vans said these is caused my normal wear and tear!!! Shameful customer service by Vans and it's like a scam to sell shoes that is broken after being worn 15 times.
DO NOT BUY! EXTREMLY POOR QUALITY!!

I typically love the UltraRange shoes and have several pairs. However, the plastic part that covers the toes make a weird popping sound every time I take a step. After about 2 minutes of wearing them I have to take them off because it drives me crazy. I refuse to wear them at this point and wasted $100. Lesson learned.

I've worn vans for 20+ years. This is by far the worst quality shoe they've ever made. I've worn them about 2 hours around the house and walking and the toe is already completely seperated. Seems like a majority of reviews say the same thing here.

I've been buying these shoes for a few years now. I'm not sure what's happened to the quality, but these are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. Legit hurts my feet when I try to walk in them. Maybe I just received a crappy pair but if I were you, I'd buy with caution. Unfortunately I think this will be my last pair of vans and I'll switch to another brand :-/

Make your shoes shaped liked an actual foot and I'll buy them. Bracken take your shoe off, trace it on a white piece of paper, then take an insole out of a pair of vans and set it on top of your foot. It's a genius idea and I just gave it to you for free.
Your welcome.

This sneaker literally stated ripping in the same exact place on both sneakers within 2 months. They are complete garbage. After reading some of the reviews I was hopeful. They're worse than I could imagine.
I've been wearing Vans for years. Never again. Moving on to a better quality sneaker.
Disappointed,
