I love everything about this shoe -- except, sadly, the fit. My foot is narrow, but I need a deep toe box because my big toes stick up slightly. These shoes were strangely wide and straight, but the toe box was too shallow. I could have lived with the shape and adjusted the laces, but my toe was pressed against the top of the shoe and felt uncomfortable. I am so sad to have to return them because I love the color and the subtle design. I wear a size 42 or 43, so any shoe that is not basic is hard to find. I am grateful to Zappo's for its return policy because I am so hard to fit.

These would be good sneakers, if they were not so stiff. While leather is playable, zipper is very rigid and thick and takes space inside. When walking, zipper cuts into feet, which feels very strange as the toe box is very wide. With round and wide toe box they look like a fine retirement footwear.

First of all, I love these shoes. BUT, I usually wear a size 40 and even the 41s were too short for me.

I wear size 9.5M or 10M depending upon the style. These shoes fit perfectly!! The quality of the leather, the design and style are perfect and shows my creative sense of fashion. I put them on as soon as they were delivered, and I can tell no 'break-in' time will be necessary. I absolutely LOVE these shoes! The color (Olive) is exactly as described online and will go very well with my Fall and Winter corduroy pants and my 'fun' dresses that I wear with tights.

As expected! L'Artiste shoes are great. Size is always the same, style superb, quality outstanding.

I really liked these shoes, they were comfortable and cute but sadly too big. A lot of people say these run small so size up. I take a size 10 so went with the 10.5-11 size and sadly they were a good 1/2" too long. I returned them and won't reorder because I'm afraid the next smaller size may be too small.

Oh, what a fun shoe. I love them but had to return them. I have a high arch and the zipper would not close -- Couldn't even get the zipper to close an inch. If the shoe had a little more in the arch, they would have been perfect.

These are so very cute, but they really squeeze my feet. I don't typically wear wide shoes, but these were tight on the sides and across the top of the wide part of the foot just before the toes. They seemed to do great with my plantar fasciitis, so I was particularly disappointed that they were so restrictive across the ball of the foot.

I really liked these but I returned them. I ordered a size up due to European sizing and reviews. Sadly they were too big, but I wasn't sure if I sized down that those wouldn't be too small. Well made shoes, I just have a problem with European sizing in some shoes.

These shoes (38) are too small in length and toe box. I might get a (39), but they might be too long. I will think about it.
