I have Rheumatoid arthritis in my ankles and feet and have to wear support braces for my ankles. I loved the style and arch support of these boots; they came high enough to cover my braces. Unfortunately, one of the pairs came very used-looking. The shoes were also too stiff and rigid for my needs, and after walking on my carpet for a few minutes with them, my feet were in pain. It is not suitable for those of us with arthritis in our feet.

I am keeping them because I need a pair of short boots, but they are not my favorite style. With hard to fit wide feet, my options are limited. They are comfortable in footbed, but leather on ankle of boot is tight and stiff and may require that I get it stretched. Does have a removable footbed so I can insert my orthotics. I am giving them a try.

The ankle was so tight I could not zip it. The footbed was nice and roomy. i was very disappointed. I do not have big ankles either.

I have a lot of Propet shoes and like the quality so I'm going to keep these and try to stretch the ankles. The toe box is as roomy as you'd expect from Propet, it's a true 4E and noticably wider than their 2E. But the ankle is tight as heck. I can zip them only by doing the inner first then outer. My instep is high so I have to unzip both. But it is a tight fit. It's not uncomfortable once on at least. A style from a few years ago had an elastic panel instead of the second zip and that would have been welcome in these.

This boot is cute, but seemed very long and definitely not wide enough for a 2E!

At first I was a little "meh" on the overall look of these boots. I have the brown version and didn't really love the brown sole. But I have to admit, they're INSANELY comfortable. And as someone who wears a 10 - 10.5 wide, it's near impossible to find a Chelsea boot style that comes in my size. After wearing them around the house, I came to really like them, so they're here to stay! Pros: Toe box is wide, lots of wiggle room for your foot and toes. Easily put your own insert in. Still fits with bulky wool socks and silicone bunion guards. Easy to get into with the 2 side zips, though usually I only unzip 1. They have some sort of technology with a lot of cushion in the sole which means putting 20K steps in Europe in the winter should be fine. Other reviews mention tight ankles, but with the double zips, I'm confused how that's a problem. I don't have a high instep and think my ankles are "normal" size, but maybe they're skinny, who knows. Cons: Wish they were waterproof instead of water resistant. Wish the soles were black or even white. Overall I tested these out with the Demi, which are more of a winter boot style. I was going to keep the Demi first, but changed my mind to this style so I could get more year round use out of them (I don't like in a very snowy area). Demi has the same cushioning though, so it was close!

These are SO comfortable. I wear them with an arch support insert, because I wear all of my shoes with one, and they were comfy on day one. I struggle with pronation issues so even at 45 I wear Medicare-approved stability sneakers or I start to limp after 10k steps, and I have a wide feet, so I have struggled a lot to find good boots. Also, wearing ballet flats in the Midwest in winter looks absurd so I NEEDED them. These boots are very easy to get into with the double zippers, and I felt very stable, no knee problems at all. Note: I am a curvy gal (size 16 pants) and I know calf size is often an issue in boots for curvy gals, so I want to assure people that moderately curvy folks will also fit into these boots.

I was on an epic search for shoes I could wear to the Christmas Markets that were waterproof/resistant, had a good tread, and would fit my wide foot. I also wear a 10, so this is harder than you think. I tried on this and the Propet Demi as well, and chose the Delphi as I felt I could get more use out of it back home where it isn't as cold. Pros- tread on this seems iffy at first glance, but had GREAT traction on wet cobblestones, even on hills, which surprised me. Width is great, I had plenty of room to not squish my toes, and I could wear heavy socks to keep warm (but even wearing thin socks I was good). Had no problem standing on cold concrete and cobblestones for hours- feet were warm and comfy. Held up great in drizzly, rainy weather, and walked through many a puddle. But I was never in a downpour, so can't speak to that. Cons- there's virtually NO arch support. I put my own insoles in with arch support, but when you're walking 20K steps a day, having a shoe that has some structurally support for your arches is a must. I ended up wearing compression socks for plantar fasciitis which have the side benefit of providing arch support, to stay comfy in these shoes at the end of the trip. Overall, for the money, this was a worthwhile purchase. My trip was 2 weeks, and I think on a 1 week trip, these would've been great. I wear them a lot at home and still like them a lot!

Very comfortable for arch support and the width is great for a wide foot. The upper shaft portion is not snug as other reviewers mentioned. The two side zippers provide easy on-off. The soles do feel a bit heavy after I've had them on all day. But overall, I'd recommend this style.

This shoe is quality. You can tell immediately. It seems waterproof, durable and even insulated enough to keep feet warm in winters. I was so so close to keeping these due to the above and that this brand clearly cares about quality. I returned as the toe box seemed too large for me and these gave me the feeling of orthopedic shoes- a little too bulbous on the front of the shoe and just didn’t make me feel feminine. It seemed like a quarter size larger than I expected. I sized half a size up than my usual as it’s a boot and I wanted to wear socks. My heel wasn’t slipping but there was just a little too much room even with a thick sock. I could have easily kept and worn them with comfort but this is something you should be aware of.

Someone else mentioned in the review that the ankle was too tight. I second that. I might have kept them if the top wasn't so tight.

The ankle was extremely tight. I could barely zip it up. I do not normally have this problem with boots. I purchased the extra wide (2E) and it was still not wide enough in the toe box. There was room to put my own arch supports in.

These boots are gorgeous irl. I love the look of them. Also, the footbed fit true to size & the arch support was good. Loved the double zipper and pretty much everything about these boots….except….the ankle is really small & was way too tight. Had to send em back. Still on the hunt for the perfect t ankle brown leather boot.

I have really been happy finding Propet shoes, as in general they accommodate my high instep and wide foot. I was excited about this boot, and while I ordered a half-size less than recommended already knowing they run large, it was still too big, length-wise. I was excited it fit my high instep, but unfortunately the boot upper does not have elastic and would not fully zip around my ankles, so I'm having to return.
