Honestly not happy with the last 2 pair I have ordered they hurt my feet especially my heels when I heel strike. I use my shoes to walk in all day long I work at a hospital so I am constantly walking and have noticed the quality is not as good as before . I am thinking of switching brands that dont hurt my feet . Thank you for you concern. Patti K.

Im very pleased with my shoes.

I struggle with metatarsalgia and all kinds of foot issues. I have a perpetual saga of trying to find shoes that work with my orthotics or don't make me feel like I have a rock in my shoe. I was skeptical of the Ghost Max because the Ghost didn't really work for me and I figured it was the same shoe with more cushioning. I was wrong! Its a totally different fit. I love the lower heel-toe drop, rocker feeling, and extra cushioning. These feel more cushy to me than the Glycerin, yet supportive under the middle of my foot. I don't even have to wear my arch supports to be comfortable. I am so glad I took a chance on the Ghost Max!!!

Bad for the bone spur on my heel! I have owned more than a dozen pairs of Ghost 10-13 and one pair of Adrenaline GTS 22 - all make me completely forget about my bone spur as I walk 10 or more miles! The Ghost Max makes me painfully aware of my bone spur from the first to the last second I have these shoes on my feet. I expected better with the added cushioning, but no. So odd and so disappointing! (These are not cheap!)

Love these so much. I normally wear New Balance since knee replacements and wanted to change it up and alas heard good things about Brooks. I was not disappointed. So bouncy and supportive.

Love the cushioning! And the width is exactly what I wanted.

Extremely slippery outsole. Very poor grip in wet conditions. Fell on a slightly wet surface indoors while wearing these. Will not be wearing anymore and would not purchase again

Ghost Max hot pink was my very first Brooks purchase, and within a month, I bought another pair but it was the Athems. Both are great for being on your feet for 12hrs at the hospital. I love them alot and my 94 yr old Granddad asked about my shoes, so I bought him a pair a couple weeks ago. He says they're the best and most comfortable shoes he has ever had. So from a Nurse and my Papaw we love our Brooks!!!

Another take on the Ghost Max: A former runner for many years (3-6 miles/day) who also embraced high-impact aerobics and often wore Brooks, I'm now in my '70s and this shoe is FANTASTIC for me today! It was suggested by a local store and it fulfills my everyday needs. I practice Tai Chi, walk on my treadmill, and go for moderate hikes - not on pavement. I have back, hip and pronation issues and when I wear them am very comfortable. Suggestion: All the wild colors may be desirable for many, but some choices in navy-blue or deep gray with green or white/gray accents would be welcome.

Extremely cushioned and very light shoe - the entire bottom of the shoe adds about 1.5-2" to your height. The only reason I returned these is because I felt like my heel was sinking down lower than the rest of my foot when I walked in them. I tried these out as a possible shoe for work, where I'm on my feet for 6-8 straight hours a day, but the odd feeling of my heel being lower than the rest of my foot was uncomfortable for me. Maybe they work better as a running shoe, where your heel doesn't (usually) come into contact first with the ground the way it does when walking, but for me, these were not a good walking shoe.

I am obsessed! I have been running in these since October and I am getting ready to order another pair to start training for my next marathon. I could not be happier with these!

I am not a runner. I am a walker (67 year-old woman) who enjoys walking my dog 2 miles at a good pace. My podiatrist suggested Brooks to me over 3 years ago and I am hooked! I love them! I must buy Wide shoes due to my bunions and neuroma in my toes and feet. The wider base for the added room is ideal for me. Please, please add more of the fun colors like the Peach and Aqua!!!

Great shoe! I absolutely love the cushion. It is difficult for me to wear another shoe now.

The cushioning is great! I bought these to test out suitability for overseas walking on cobblestone. The only negative for high arched, narrow feet is the 8mm heel drop vs the 12mm drop on a Ghost 15. The 4 mm difference is felt, so I'd have to wear them for less time & alternate with a higher heel drop.

Very soft and comfy. For walking, around the cushion is ok but it works really well for running!

Best shoes Ive ever ever worn. I work 12 hour nursing shifts, Im consistently on my feet and they are some of the most comfortable shoes Ive ever worn. I will be buying them in more colors for every day use. Ive even bought my best friend a pair.

I love these shoes! Very comfortable, nice and roomy, love the style! I dont run, but I wear them to work. The podiatrist I saw for pain in my foot, recommended Brooks. They are the only tennis shoes I will ever buy again!

These are the best walking shoes Ive ever worn. They feel like walking on spring loaded clouds but with stability and style. They are breatheable and make me feel like I can walk so much farther now. Best shoe purchase ever.

I have worn Brooks for many years now. I needed a little change and the Ghost Max is just what I needed. I loved them from the first time I wore them and can't wait to do many miles. The Ghost Max is my new favorite running shoe for comfort and it's so light.
