First I couldn't decide between the stunning yellow and the gorgeous green. So I bought both. darn glad I did. Second - Rugged? absolutely. I feel like a workhorse ready to plow the fields in these. Soft? 100%. My go too for sleep is either sweats or shorts and always a flannel shirt. For a layering outdoor rugged shirt, these have been beating out my flannels! Third, I paired these with either the my LL Bean lined (favorite) utility jacket or the (also another favorite) Camp vest and the results are one great fall line up in clothing! I thought nothing would beat the camp vest and utility jacket, and then I got these! Please get them in more colors!! Making these in your "bright navy" or "light navy" plaid would put me over the moon! Do yourself a favor and get these shirts! To the L.L Bean employees reading these, can you make these options for women? And ALSO add a "slightly fitted" options. I'm over all the women's clothing being "relaxed fit" with limited options. I honestly barely shop in the women's section due to lack of options and fit. The men's section has 100s more styles, colors and designs in nearly every type of shirt. Aside from the fabulous "camp" shirts and the Signature Oxford Shirt every flannel and button up I own is MENS from L.L Bean. (In the least start adding XS to the mens line) :)

Nice lighter weight (unlined) shirt-jacket. Good very sturdy construction and material. I plan to use it for shorter daily walks in the woods during mildly cooler weather in the Autumn/Spring.

This is a great shacketjacket/shirt-it's a terrific layering piece. It looks good with jeans or chinos.

Nice light weight jacket. Initially purchased a large but exchanged it for medium because I don't plan on layering it. (I am 6 feet and 165 pounds)

Not going to lie I have this in three colors. It's a great layering piece. It's very well made and the side pockets are just, chefs kiss. I really hope the bright blue version makes a comeback!

Great shirt. Nice for Chicago's fall and winter weather. I am 5 feet 8 inches tall and weigh 158 pounds. I purchased a size medium. The shirt fits about right except for the arms which are a bit too long. I would definitely recommend this item.

The signature LL Bean series has been amazing. Although the size has changed slightly from last year. My XXL from last year is much bigger than this years XXL, which is actually perfect. Both are "Slightly Fitted" which makes a nice tailored look. Such a great shirt, and very durable. I wear these things everywhere.

This shirt, which could be worn as a jacket, is soft and comfortable.

A bit pricey, but very high quality and unique design.

Great lightweight layer for those mild fall or spring days that works well over a long sleeve t-shirt. Material feels durable and rugged, ready for a day in the outdoors or a night on the town. The shirt fits my frame well leaving me adequate freedom of movement.

This is a great looking shirt at just the right weight, just what I have been looking for. But, I don't understand the slim fit. I wear a large in all my Bean shirts so I tried on the large at the MOA store. It fit great in the chest but was too tight in the arms with a long sleeve shirt on. I sized up to an extra-large to get room in the arms but it is too big in the chest and the sleeves are too long. It's a very strange fit for an outdoor garment. I am torn whether to keep it or not.

I don't know how long I have had this shirt, but it still fits and is in great shape. But, looking at the new version, I'm glad I bought mine before they added the elbow patches. Why?

The fit, comfort, and details of this shirt are wonderful! Every wearing of it is a delight.

In my experience, LLBEAN shirts tend to be larger than expected, hence large fit me nicely although I usually buy extra large.

I really like the fit and feel of this shirt. The quality seems very high, and it's very comfortable.
