Customer Reviews L.L.Bean Utility Vest

First off constructed well and feels like it will last. Issues though and getting tired of Bean choosing form over function. First for a "utility" jacket all the pockets are ridiculously small. The chest and internal pockets need to be twice the size. None of the pockets are going to fit a modern phone. Second it is not slightly fitted like stated. I own lots of slightly fitted from Bean including their Utility jacket and this has a boxier fit along with a wide neck opening. The fake sheep's fur on the collar is not soft and for the price charge me a few more bucks to put real fur on it! The fake fur will just get piled and rough! Thought this would fit like the utility jacket which fits great but this is boxy in comparison. The utility jacket has some pocket issues too, more form over function but they are at least a bit larger and usable. Zippers are cheap on both too. Bean used to make good looking, well made and highly functional clothing/products but seems more worried about rugged fashion these days which is sad. If you put "Utility" on something it better be just that but we pay the extra for the Bean quality.

Love this vest, but wish it came in a women's version. :(

Carharts are a lot better quality than this would not recommend this at all
