An update from my last review. After a few more washes the sweater is way better. I think the initial fuzz clumps up but the sweater is way more comfortable/softer looking now after wash number 4.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I usually wear a small in sweaters, but the small was too snug, so I exchanged it for a medium. Much better fit. The color is great, the yarn isn't my favorite. I feels stiff and a little scratchy, even after a wash. I like it, but I don't love it.

I bought a medium which is my true size and found it a little small. It's comfortable and the green color is beautiful.

I normally run at size 6 with occasional fit issues in the shoulders, mine are wide. I ordered a large in this sweater wanting a loose but not overly baggy fit, and that is exactly what I got. I am going to say that this sweater normally runs small since the sleeves are exactly the perfect length, and if I am not careful with washing they will be too short. All that being said I am getting exactly the look that I was going for, so giving this 5 stars despite the fit concerns.

This is an awesome sweater. Looks great with jeans. I'm 5'6 139 pounds. The arms are a little short but I have long arms. But other than that it's great.

Really nice and comfy. Fits perfect over a tee or by itself. Bought it in charcoal. I thought it would be black but it is nicely marled. Wish it came in a medium gray but it looks good. My only gripe is it's a tad too short. Could use about another inch in length. Otherwise, I really like it.

This is a beautifully shaped sweater and I fell in love with the deep orange color. But I'm just not a cotton person or a pullover - I'm a wool girl and I wear cardigans much more than a pullover. The weight, quality, and shaping of this sweater is lovely, though. I'm 5'5" and 140 pounds, and a Medium fit like a glove.

Love the color and fit of this sweater. I enjoy wearing it but...after I wore it just two or three times I noticed it was starting to 'pill', especially under the arms. Did not expect that from a sweater this soon. I have owned lots of LL Bean sweaters (including another cotton ragg one I have had for about 5 years) and never had this problem. Not happy about this but love everthing else about it.

I got tired of buying less expensive sweaters and having them immediately start pulling, and figured it would be worth it spend more money on a 100%:cotton sweater from a reputable company. While I love the color of the sweater, I've only worn it 3 times and it's pilling in quite a few places, even though I washed it according to the directions on the label. The fit is accurate.

Pretty color and cotton-hard to find. This is a little heavier than I like but good for cold days.

I love the cut of this sweater, size S for 5'6" 135lb - slightly fitted, a little boxy and hits at the hip. Sleeves are a bit short but I have long arms. Love the purple color. I was excited because I try to wear 100% cotton and love the brand. However, it's not soft like some woven cotton sweaters. It's not scratchy, but not soft. The worst part is it pills terribly. I have bits coming off the sleeves and in the armpits after only wearing for a couple of months. Sadly not worth the money to me - not sure how long it will last.

These sweaters are really nice until you wash them. I bought 2 and last they came out of the washer the same way; clumps and fuzzy. The neckline looses shape. I wash all my sweaters on delicate lay dry flat so there was no reason for the way it looked after.

I liked the fit, the color was beautiful, but the fabric shed all over the place, immediately out of the bag. I decided to return it, as I was afraid it wouldn't hold up.

Loved, but then I washed (on cold and laid flat to dry) it and it shrank like crazy!

I wanted to like this sweater, but it runs a bit wide and a bit short for my taste. If it was offered in a Tall, that would be preferable.

The sweater is nice and it's warm. It's a little bulky though and you have to clean it in the gentle cycle then dry it out on a flat surface. The drying process takes several days. So I wouldn't recommend this sweater for those reasons.

I love cotton sweaters....I look constantly for nice cozy ones. The latest trend is short, rather boxy looks. I would order this sweater if it was not so short. I have no doubt this is to save money. But why not make a good sweater that is long enough and flattering.

Before I take this down, let me build this up: I appreciate the style - the longer ribbed cuffs, the wider ribbing at the neck. I thought it was a no-brainer and would be perfect. I even thought about adding the saddle, but it was out of stock. The build up stops there. When I finally received this sweater, I was disappointed to note that it had been put in the shipping bag without anything else. Still, I put it on to test drive it and saw a big smudge across the front. Another small stain on the collar. Such disappointment. I later learned I'd been sent one from the store racks. If I'd loved the sweater, I'd have tried washing it and moved on, but that was not the case. The overall fit and style was quite unflattering on me. I'm small, an inverted triangle shape and a bit busty, and the texture of this made me look quite mack-trucky. The collar didn't lay right (and it was one of the things that initially drew me to the sweater). The overall fit was frump - a look I try to avoid. And I personally didn't like the slubby ivory fabric. On me at least, it looked like a disheveled and tired t-shirt. I think this is one time when deeper color would be a good choice. Instead, it was just a big miss all around. As always, LL Bean customer service was awesome. I contacted them, and they were rightly appalled that the sweater arrived dirty. They offered to send me a new one - for free, not just shipping, but a whole new sweater. I thanked them but declined. Even a free version of this is one I didn't want and wouldn't wear. So the sweater itself is a fail for me, but LL Bean's customer service was a big win, hence 3 out of 5 stars. All that said, the sweater may look good on someone who is daintier and younger. I could see it working on the appropriate body shape. I also think that if it came in v-neck (much more flattering over 40) and I'd chosen a different color, it could have worked.

The sweater is beautiful and good quality; however, for some reason they have changed the fit on this and it is much shorter than the one I currently own. Sadly, it does not come in tall so I'll be returning. LL Bean, please include length in your size charts and provide a tall option for more of your tops!

I'm returning this as the band on me hits right at my muffin top and accentuates it :/
