I wanted a waterproof, insulated walking shoe with a good tread for the winter - I got it! No breaking in needed. Nothing is uncomfortable about this shoe. I wear thick socks with them too.

Waterproof, good gripping, attractive. I would've liked an 8.5 - but thick socks with a 9 plus feet swell a bit when hiking = good fit. Love them.

I was motivated to purchase these after an extremely wet hike. I haven't tested how waterproof they are, but they look like they'll get the job done with the material and elevated soles. Straight out of the box, I wore them on a three-mile hike. They fit well with thinner hiking socks; no irritation or rubbing. They are mid-height shoes, so you have to appreciate ankle support. My husband thinks they're stylish, too!

Very comfortable walking shoe that fit the minute I put them on. Good toe box doesn't pinch my little toes. Could use more padding on the bottom sole for dog walking on the pavement. Fine for shopping and town chores. Attractive.

The mid-top version of the Apex Trek feels narrower in the toe box. Also, the sides poke into the front of your ankle, creating a potential sore spot. I will stick with low cut versions which are more comfortable.

These shoes are too high in the front ankle and are uncomfortable. They are too snug also.
