I love these jeans! They fit perfectly over my boots and over my hips - they stop just above my hips and stay in place while riding. They are a little looser in the thigh than I would normally go for but it looked like they would be in the picture so I wasn't too surprised.

Solid denim jean. Large belt loops. I am 5'2" 158 lbs curvy athletic. The 30 Short fit nicely, inseam is all of 31" if not a bit more. The back does not come up as high as other riding jeans I own. I would definitely buy again or recommend to a friend.

Sits lower on hips- does run small- will more than likely need to size up.

I work on a busy ranch. I do everything from mucking stalls to laundry, feed and water animals, climb up hills. Ii crawl around in mud and rocks and do whatever it takes. I usually average about 36,000 steps a day. These jeans are super comfortable and withstand me crawling on the ground. I am happy that I can depend on the sizing being pretty much the same across the board as far as mid to high rise boot-cut jeans go. I prefer high-rise because I am slim in the hip and rear area. I have long about 35-36" inseam and prefer x-long although long can do the trick. The awesome thing for me is that I put my jeans on and can concentrate on my chores and don't have to put any thought into my jeans. Also, Ariat jeans have enough belt loops so if you have to let your belt out slightly, there is another loop nearby. I have a whole collection of Ariat jeans in different styles and colors. I hover between 28-30. I hope you have the same experience!
