these run a bit large for the size. generally, I find LL Bean sizing pretty hard to predict.

I have been wearing LLBean ski pants for several years. For Christmas I asked for an additional pair as I was afraid my old one would soon wear out. My old ones did not have pockets. This pair is not as warm, looser fitting and bags at the knee after wearing for a while. Very disappointing. I was hoping for the same quality with the addition of pockets. This was a real waste of money.

Open pockets not really usable except for a tissue. Zippered pocket could hold ID and a single key but not cell phone. Sizing larger than previous tights and a bit larger than comfortable. Overall ok but a bit disappointing considering how expensive these are. Don't think I'd have bought these in the store but bought online so keeping.

Bought these pants in October. I loved the fit, pockets and look. It is now February and the thread is coming apart at the base of the leg. I have been an LL Bean customer for 30+ years. I find all of the clothing becoming a bit cheap in construction. Same is true for the absence of 100% cotton oxford shirts which are now part synthetic fiber.

I bought similar tights last year and they were fabulous! Unfortunately, the new tights did not come in med-tall, so were too short for these cold Upstate NY winters.

I own three pair, all medium petite. The black hold their shape, the green pretty much, and the navy not at all. I love the pockets that hold cell phones, and the black tights look sleek. Fabulous idea, and I love them when I first get them before they start to sag. I will be returning the blue- totally different fabric.

They do not fit like tights should, way too loose. A better description would be cargo tights and I am describing size XS Petit, pockets are not at all flattering. Please go back to the Polartec tights and sizing that you use to have, they were PERFECT.

I love the lined pocket tights BUT the fabric pills and snags on the least little thing.

The outside material pilled after the first wear (which was after washing).

I bought one last year and loved it except for the pretty awful pilling. Bought another this year hoping the pilling would be solved but already pilling and only worn a few times. Too bad! I love everything else about these.

It took me a few attempts to find the right size, and then when I got them, they were great. Unfortunately, the 2nd time I wore them, the material showed piling on the thigh area. It was disappointing; definately not what I'm used from LLBean in regard to quality.

Very comfy and warm, however, the fabric pilled greatly between the inner thighs after one wearing. I have similar fleece lined tights from another retailer that used Polartec fabric and not one pill after many years. LLB, maybe switch from PrimaLoft to Polartec?

I have been wanting navy fleece leggings for a year and finally got them! Alas, they are not worth the money - first, don't bother with the pockets. The non-zip pocket that is supposed to be meant for a phone stretches out a lot and is certainly unattractive and doesn't feel safe for the phone. And overall, the waist is tight and upper legs in particular seem to easily stretch out and feel baggy, while also being a little on the short side for petites. I'm very happy with the warmth level though - they should be great in 20-30 degree weather for outdoor activities and long dog walks - with room for another light layer underneath. There are also nice reflective markings at the bottom of the legs. I just don't understand who these are designed to fit well. Had I realized the pocket was so weird before I washed them, I would have returned them.

I bought these types last year and love them. So I wanted another pair in a different color. I bought the navy blue extra small, my normal size and was very disappointed when they arrive because they were not the same size. They were definitely bigger maybe a whole size so I had to return them that's why only three stars.

I wanted to love these pants sooo much, but I am a bit underwhelmed. The biggest complaint is that the outer material gets pills, no one wants that, especially for this price.! LL Bean, I expect more, I love you so much, and love most everything I have bought, but I have to be honest here, hoping for an updated outer fabric on your next version.

Not the fit I was hoping for. I wanted a tight fitting legging with fleece lining. At 5' and 95lbs. even the PXS were baggy fitting. Unfortunately, had to return.

Very soft inside and out. The cut is so full that I look huge with these on so, unfortunately, I had to return them. These same fabrics in a slimmer cut would be perfect.

Comfortable and warm, I love these so much! I got these after abdominal surgery and they sit above the scar so have been so comfortable - I bought three pairs! Phone pocket is convenient on cold weather walks. What's disappointing, though, is that after one gentle wash on cold with mild detergent and hang dry, these tights pilled all over and looked like I'd had them for years! I am so bummed about that. Didn't return because I like the fit and outdoor performance; but I won't spend the money for any more pairs in future. Bean, can you please address the pilling problem in product development? -Former employee

I already own two pair ordered last year and love them. Ordered two more this year and the fit is so very different. Less stretch, shorter, tighter. Last years leggings are size small and fit perfectly. Will return this recent order and try a medium. I'm 5'5" and 128 lbs.

Bought these just one month ago, and the pilling makes them look like they came from a second hand shop.

The tights are warm. They fit great when you first put them on. After and hour or two they knees and bottom bag out. Not thrilled with them for the price.

I wanted to like these because of the fleece lining but the legs were 'shaped' instead of being allowed to contour to your own leg shape like in most leggings. Very strange. It gaped around my calves leaving excess fabric for example. Too bad because it is a great concept.

Lived in these last winter, so I bought a couple more pair in the new colors. They are being returned. Too short without medium tall option. Fabric works well in the pullover tops, but here it's tight in some places, stretches out in others, and doesn't seem durable enough for hiking pants. Topstitching is obvious, especially in the gray color. Can you tell I'm disappointed?
