I love this jacket but I am sorry I didn't get the one with the hood.

I ordered a 3X which is a size larger than usual. It fits a little loose on the bottom but it's ok because you can tighten it with a cord. The upper arms however run smaller than they should. It fits but it's tighter than it should be with a base layer and sweater. The other issue is the lining in the sleeves. Part of the lining is fleece which is fine but part of the lining is from the jacket which has a tendency to push out of the cuffs when you put on the jacket. Both of these things are problematic and I would have given the jacket 3 stars but I got a good price on the jacket. Pluses are the green color is nice and the jacket is warm.

A simple, warm jacket I wear for daily activities. Wish there was one more pocket but otherwise, it's fine!

I loved the style and color of this jacket but it was just.a tad tight all over. Also, as others have commented, the fleece lining is cozy but does make it a little awkward to pull on as it sticks to your shirt. I really wanted to love it, the length, the color, the high color, all exactly what I am looking for, but just didn't fit.

A bit tight around the shoulders and armpits, I usually wear size 8 or 10, I thought I was a small, but I should have ordered a medium.

The down jacket is warm and fits well. I bought this jacket for my Alaskan cruise.

I would've given this 5 stars but the lining in the sleeves was too long. I had to "fuss" with tucking it back in every time I wore the jacket, which was a lot, as it fit me perfectly and was very warm!

This jacket fits great! Very warm. I haven't decided if I like the fleece inside. The fleece makes it difficult to put on, because it sticks to my shirts. I also wish it had an inside zipper pocket in the chest area.

Excellent warmth. I do agree with others on initial difficulty donning coat because of inner lining bunching up.

A great fit! Keeps you warm without the bulk. Enough room to layer underneath. Beautiful color.

I bought this jacket because I had a nearly identical 650 down hooded jacket purchased around 2014. There has been a big decline in quality in that time, which is disappointing for the LL Bean brand and price. Key issues: * noticeably less down fill, especially in the sleeves * lots more feathers coming through both inside and out * fleece liner in top half of jacket is poor quality * warmth level seems ok, despite the above * wind blows right through, whereas the other jacket was great for skiing Overall, ok since I got it on sale at a significant discount, but I would not recommend this product at full price.

First, let me say that I love the look of this jacket. And it is actually quite warm. The sleeves are too long, but that's not the reason for only three stars. The main problem is that, though about 2/3 of the sleeves are lined with a slippery polyester so they don't get stuck on under clothes, the top 1/3 is lined with a fleece/flannel type material, and it most definitely DOES get stuck. It's like a participating in a wrestling match every time I put the jacket on. Also, I have noticed a few feathers already coming out. I will see how the jacket washes before deciding whether or not to return it. I had ordered this in two colors, but after wearing the green one (a great color, by the way), I returned the black one without even opening it. I'll give one a try, but NOT two.

This is a nice looking jacket and a seemingly quality item. Unfortunately, the fleece lining is a deal breaker for me. It sticks to your clothing and makes it very difficult to put on and take off.

Liked the look and fit of jacket. Was told would be warm in 0-30 degree temperatures. It was not warm enough at 38 degrees while walking in the Rocky Mountains. Sadly, I returned jacket.

The jacket is a pretty green. Warm and fits true to size for a fitted jacket. My only complaint is that there is fleece in the upper back and upper sleeves. This actually makes it more difficult and clumsy to put on due to friction in sleeves and the result is the lining in the arms are pulled out. Lining is easily stuffed back in, but not what I would expect from LL Bean. Like others, I am sorry to see that LLBean has cut costs and eliminated inner pockets on womens jackets. Details such as adjustible wrists and pockets used to be a signature of LLBean quality products.

The color is beautiful, the fit is fine, but there is flannel at the shoulder and top of the arm that prevent the arm from sliding easily into the sleeve, especially if you have a sweater on underneath the jacket.

Love the color and it is functional. But the lining of the sleeves comes out every time you put it on When the wind blows it blows right through the zipper The zipper zips up opposite of most of my coats

I have had lots of LL Bean jackets (at least 10) over the years. I always go between a size Small and a size Medium with the Medium being plenty large. I bought this one in what should have been a comfortable Medium Petite, and it was VERY slim in the torso. So slim my husband said, "You might be able to wear that with a t-shirt." Really disappointed as the color was great. Back it goes.

Jacket fit, but wearing something under it would be uncomfortable. Material inside sleeves not conducive to ease in a ling sleeve top.

Lovely jacket, but is cut narrow in the body and narrow in the shoulders and very narrow in the sleeves. A 2X normally fits me well even when wearing a polo and a sweater. The narrow cut of the shoulders made putting in on impossible; I could not put my second arm in the the sleeve of the 2X. The 3X was also a bit awkward to put on also, but doable. The sleeves are a bit narrow. I tried it on wearing a short sleeved polo and a medium weight cotton sweater, and there wasn't any extra room in the sleeves. The sleeves are not set in, but a modified raglan design, which may be why it is a bit awkward to don. The measurement of the shoulder width and underarm seam width in the 3X matches other garments I own that are only 2X. Its a shame the designers skimped on the pattern and "saved" a few pennies on fabric. I would rather pay more and have the garment run true to size. As a jacket there should be room to layer, and there really is not much.

Too much of a good thing, i.e. neck and shoulder fleece lining was extended part way down the sleeves making it tough just to throw the jacket on and go. The top of the sleeves were also on the narrow side. Sadly will be returning.

I really wanted to love this jacket ordered an 1X and then a XL to see which one would best fit. Unfortunately, I ended up sending both back. As the reviews stated, the sleeves were a bit too long, and a bit difficult to pull on because of the fleece lining. I absolutely loved the "Dark Pine" color and so wanted the jacket to work for me almost kept the 1X, but it was just a bit too roomy, and the XL was a little too form fitting to comfortably layer underneath. Hope it will work better for someone else! too bulky and roomy, The XL was close, but not quite roomy enough to comfortably layer.

I ordered this jacket a couple months ago. It's not really a jacket for Alaska whereas previous jackets, and many ordered from LL Bean were. Those came with snap and zipper closures and inside breast pocket. The snap closure is gone. Inside pocket too. The good news is the fabric has gone back to slippery surface. The previous two jackets were a rougher surface and impossible to keep clean. I layered this jacket with a down vest in minus temps yesterday. Warm enough but looked weird.
