Several years ago I bought a synthetic LL Bean puffer jacket that I wear every winter and which is one of my favorite winter jackets. I wanted something a bit warmer for really cold days so I bought this one since it appeared to have the same slightly boxy, shorter fit as my other jacket. I normally buy medium if the item is slightly fitted and small if relaxed fit. The small fits perfectly over a heavy sweater. It is indeed very warm. I like the shorter length as it is unconstricting. The zipper seems really sturdy and it is easy to zip my phone into a pocket. The green is deep and beautiful. I look forward to years of wearing this in extreme cold.

Love the rich green color and the updated shorter style of his puffer jacket. It's lightweight but cozy warms . Comfortable and flattering fit.

So cozy and comfortable. I go out with confidence that no matter what the weather conditions are, that I will be warm and dry. I get compliments about the color too!

I bought this a month ago, hoping it would be good for cold New England winters. And OMG this is the best coat ever. It crops right at my waist, there's enough room to wear a sweater underneath, and wear a backpack comfortably. 10/10 would recommend for any plus size person!!

Got the auburn. It is a pretty darker orange but should be seen easily by motorists when I am walking. Someone complained about the shoulders being puffy, but this makes it so much more comfortable when I wear it over a corduroy shirt or sweatshirt and need to swing my arms when doing lifting or yard work. I imagine it would be very good for skiing. The shorter length is good for active work as the bottom of the jacket does not catch on machinery or tree branches. I like that the bottom of the jacket can be tightened to keep out the wind. The fit is good except the arms are a teensy bit long. Petite medium fits perfectly otherwise. Am 5'1" , 136 lbs.

I love this style. Shorter boxy length makes for a leggy look. Very welcome new cut! The forest green is really nice. I had to return the large for a medium. 5'7", 137 lbs. Seems warm enough for cold damp NY weather

Nice jacket it's a little short and no inside pockets otherwise good kept me warm walking across the skybridge with sweatshirt under it

I love almost everything about this coat. The pine color is gorgeous, it's well made and a great value (as I would expect from LLB), and it's warm with great pockets and hood. The only thing that falls a little short for me is that it's literally a bit short... see photo (where a sweater or shirt might peek out at the hips). It sits right about at my hip bones and does not have a bottom hem with a "cuff" or elastic so the effect is slightly boxy. But the range of motion that gives is useful and it's less of a struggle with anything bulky underneath than my last coat was. So while it's a little unusual, it's not really a drawback.

Great quality ! Beautiful color ! Very light and warm ! Lovely style yet I gave it four stars for one reason - it adds 3-4 inches in the shoulders that doesn't flatter the silhouette at all . I ordered it in XS size and it was still too large for me . It's real sad as I loved the overall style of it . I should have considered other reviews .

I like the jacket because it is lightweight and warm. It is a bit difficult to close the snaps, and it is definitely high on the body, which I am not used to. I would have preferred that the jacket reached down further on my body, but live and learn. With warm slacks, it is just right for not too cold days. Altogether a nice buy.

Very cool outline, warm and cozy. Like being wrapped in a down blanket.

It keeps my temperature constant but I don't like the drop shoulder and how short the sleeves are.

The jacket fits well. It's nice and warm. If I could change one thing, it would be about an inch longer. I wear it as an everyday jacket in the city.

I love this jacket, especially that it is puffy and not "packed down" because those jackets are warm but don't feel snuggly. This jacket is a hug. However, the fabric is delicate and I've already had to patch it once after snagging it walking past some scruffy tree bark, so I wish it were a little more rugged for regular outdoor use.

I really liked the lightweight warmth and color of this jacket but unfortunately the sleeves are too long so I had to return it.

The jacket was a nice product, in a great color, but poorly designed. I bought it as a gift for my daughter-in-law, but had to return it. Unfortunately, the jacket was too short and too wide and the sleeves were way too long. Other than that it was lovely.

Too short, but nice fabric, color and styling. I liked the hood.

I purchased the green and it was a gorgeous color but the cost is too cropped and all my shirts stuck out from the bottom of it. It's pretty boxy and didn't flatter my shape. Would have kept it if it were a little longer.

I bought this coat in November. I do like the length and it's great for the cat, running errants and traveling. But it's not that warm. OK for temps in the 30's with layers, but not much colder. My biggest disappointment is that there are no interior pockets - a huge oversight for a jacket at this price. Also the two exterior pockets are small, and I can't work the zippers with gloves on.

Nice and warm coat but it's cropped. I really wanted to love this coat but the cropped length didn't work for me. I like my rear covered.

I usually read reviews before I purchase something and take them with a grain of salt. In this case I should have listened. The only thing I have good to say abou about this jacket is the green is absolutely beautiful!! Otherwise it's fit is awful! It's so short and the arms are so long it looks odd. And there were several references to the Michelin Man, they are TRUE! The drop shoulders make it look like I'm wearing football shoulder pads. It was a bit difficult to get on through the shoulders then it looks so huge and feels so bulky on!!! I've always ordered small petite in LLBean coats and I have several, I'm 5'3" weigh around 118 lbs, but this one just has to go back. It's on its way now.
