I bought this coat. Super warm and comfy. But the fake leather on the buttons rubs off right away and makes it look icky.

I wanted to love this coat, I needed a replacement and didn't want black, blue or oatmeal color, and the Hickory shade of this duffle is beautiful and perfect. The construction is excellent and it is the exact level of warmth for the intended use. The cons, however, diminish the love by tight arm circumference and hood construction. I literally despise the current trend in women's clothing for skimping on arm fabric. Most of us do not have skinny arms like models. I am normal size, complete with boobs and arms and I need clothing that accommodates this which has always been found at Bean. Not so this coat, which is wearable, but not with sweaters beneath and still squeeze my arms into the openings. The hood, which was a main selling point for my purchase, flies off my head with the slightest movement unless held in place, nor is there enough fabric above the face to keep the snow or rain off my glasses when I hold it on my head. Not lining the hood in the same slick lining fabric of the coat would solve the fly-off problem, and a bit more fabric for sleeve construction and hood coverage would solve the others. The fit otherwise is perfect and I truly love the color.

This coat has a lot of really nice features: great fit, lovely wool fabric, a nice sturdy two-way zipper and a very nice lining. It is quite warm, in part due to the Thinsulate lining. Perfect for the colder-than-average winter we've had in Ohio this year.

I am so happy with my purchase. It's such a cute and functional jacket. Will definitely buy again if needed in the future.

Love this coat. This winter has been brutal (Single digit temperatures), and this coat does not disappoint in the keeping me warm department. Love the look and feel, and the compliments I receive when wearing it. It just looks great, dressy and casual at the same time. You won't be disappointed.

Is true to size. Nicely made. Comfortable and made with care

I bought this for my 16 yr old who really dislikes wearing coats. She's incredibly picky, but really liked the style of this duffel coat. She wore it on a trip to NYC for broadway shows and dinners. While it was cold and snowy, it kept her warm, happy, and looking stylish. It has a slight body contour she likes and the wool fabric is very nice. It's a keeper.

The coat fits well with nice lines that are cut to give some shape instead of looking boxy. The quality is fantastic and the coat is warm without the bulk. Would definitely buy again.

The coat is warm and comfortable, just the right size, but the zipper requires multiple tries to get it going. Not good when I'm rushing trying to get out the door.

Purchased this item for a relative that's in college and needed a new winter coat. She absolutely loves it and it is a well made, quality product that hangs well and looks sharp in navy. Nice enough for interviews and warm enough for Northeast winter weather!

This coat is beautiful. It is very warm and repels water well. The only issue I have had is with the zipper. It is difficult to zip up most of the times. I think the reason for this issue is because it has a two way zipper, which is a wonderful feature, but it can be difficult to align up both so the zipper goes up easily. The size is accurate and the detail on the coat is excellent

Iconic duffle coat, now enhanced with Thinsulate (TM), is a great casual coat for everyday wear in late fall, winter, and early spring in most parts of the country. Relatively lightweight and warm, the added below hip length makes it great for walking, car rides or public transportation. Love the toggle buttons but appreciate the added zipper for more warmth. So happy.

I kept this in my cart for nearly a year before purchasing. Will be rewearing all winter. Sized up to an 8. It is a bit tight in the underarm.

This wool coat has natural warmth and a classic look. I like the quietness of it - no scratchy noises like with synthetic fabrics. The shoulders are a little close fitting with a sweater layered underneath, but otherwise it's just right.

Love this coat, I bought the barn red version of the coat and decided to get the grey as well.

This is the second duffel coat that I have purchased. The first one, which I've had for years is wearing out. I love this coat and have gotten many compliments while wearing it. It is comfortable, warm, and can be worn casually or professionally.

When I saw this coat listed on LL Bean's website I knew I had to have it. It is absolutely awesome in so many ways. The style, the quality, the warmth--this coat has it all. I highly recommend considering this lovely coat.

warm, sturdy, stylish hooded winter zipper/toggle coat

I thought the color would be browner, but it is actually closer to an orange with some brown and it is quite nice. It is made of wool and it has a hood to help when the temperature is chilly.

This coat is beautiful. It's light and easy to wear. It fit perfectly with enough room in the hips. It's easy to manage and carry. I got complimented when I wore it recently to church.
