Not the same. Just ran in them and got a blister under my big toe. This was my 3rd pair of Topos and very disappointed.

Good shoe for lifting/training in the gym; could have better support through the arches for people with low arches; tongue of shoe is a bit short; ankle support seems to be lacking for weaker ankles; really like the look and feather light weight

I run almost every day, so I put a lot of miles on my shoes. These have been my go-to road shoes for the last year, and I'm about to order my third pair. They're comfortable on shorter workouts as well as longer, double-digit efforts. But they aren't so cushy that I lose ground feel. They also have great energy return on the strike/push-off. My only complaint is the softer rubber portions of the soles wears quickly.

I switched from altras due to their changes and hoped to find a roomy toe box for my road racing shoes. Instead I got terribly bruised toenails. The toe box is wide enough to prevent blisters and allow some flexion, but the front shell over the toes is extremely unforgiving. I'd say these are better for someone transitioning away from pointy shoes, but not for someone who's familiar wth wide box or minimalist. The search continues.
All three stars are for walking. They are nice solid shoes for popping around town or strolling with the dog.

I have so many Topo, so many. I upgraded these from the FliLite 4 and you can immediately tell they are a smidge more narrow in the forefoot and toe box. I loved the Zephyr, but when those were discontinued I changed to the FliLite 4 and they did the job, nice and comfy. But these feel tighter around the heel and seems they will be more prone to hot spots. I love Topo but it seems they've taken a page from Altras playbook and scaled back the amazing natural foot shape, to more fitting styles. Haven't decided if I am keeping these just yet.

I had high hopes for this shoe, but was very disappointed. It is much wider than I thought it would be, wasn't as cushioned, the arch felt like it was in the wrong place, and the tread was cheap. My partner swears by these, but he has a square-shaped toes/foot.

I gave myself two months with these shoes to see if they would break in, and unfortunately, the material chosen for the upper may be durable but it's neither flexible nor comfortable. It literally bruises my feet in multiple places. I've never had that experience with a shoe before. Very disappointed.

These shoes are very narrow and were digging into my arches causing horrible foot pain. If you have wide feet I would choose another model.

I loved the wide toe area of this shoe. I've been wearing them and they've been great except I noticed that holes have developed after only a few months of wear. I expected longer use out of these shoes for the price.

I'm not a runner, so my opinion may be off for that purpose. I need a wide toe box. I have PF due to extremely high arches and need rather hefty orthotics. I have a pair of hiking boots of this brand that fit great. Unfortunately, these don't. There is a spot on the heel padding that is uncomfortable to me. The toe box is also uncomfortable. It curves in too soon and is uncomfortable to my pinky toe. The other thing I don't like about these shoes is they are very thin and "crunchy", for lack of a better word. You can see through the plasticy fabric. It doesn't seem they would last very long.

I love the color, in fact it's the only shoe from Topo that I've enjoyed the color scheme. This pair has worn out in just 50 miles, the tops are snagged and torn and there's very little tread. I'm not over weight and I'm not aggressive with them. I'll go back to the magnifly for comfort. They're also a little more durable than these. I didn't find these anywhere near as comfortable as the magnifly. All Topo's wear out on the sole faster than any other shoe I've ever owned but I'll keep buying the Magnifly until I find something that I like as well.

I loved my fli-lyte 4 shoes and ordered a pair of the 5's from a local store. The toe box is narrower/differently shaped around the big toe in the 5's. I'm really disappointed and returned them.

Try the shoes because of the ads but the shoe has no arch , it's cheap and hurts after few miles
